    • @raw6668
      @raw6668 2 роки тому +5

Not really as I can think of a few that wouldn't make sense.
For example, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Stargate, and Star Trek would be the worst sci-fi series to serve as prequels to Warhammer due to the FTL drives available would make the warp less appealing. Not to mention that humanity has fewer reasons to go xenophobe, unlike Warhammer 40K where most aliens think humans make a great food source or are just as bad as Dark Eldar.
It is hard to see Star Trek and Mass Effect's humanity go xenophobe due to first contact not leading to all-out war and relatively peaceful outcomes. While most species in the galaxy are pacifist or order-based societies in nature. Not to mention all the technology the Imperium of Man would kill for, like mass effect drive cores, FTL communication types, replicators, antimatter warp cores, and transporters.
Not to mention it be confusing to explain why humanity would use the Sea of Souls (Warp) if humanity had another FTL drive that could be slower but far more reliable (assuming technological development doesn't make it faster than the warp). I mean, Mass Effect FTL is 15 LY per day with Reapers able to achieve 30 per day. It takes a year on mapped routes to cross 30,000 LY while Mass Effect could, in theory, due that in 200 days, 100 if using Reaper tech.

@3:15, so according to the 40k lore, when in the immaterium/warp/chaos, time flows fluid in that past, present, and future all are happening simultaneously. So the 4 chaos gods absolutely exist. Judging from the “blood orgy” scene, I’ll appears the crew and ship made contact with Slaanesh.

At most, what is happening, is that chaos, and tge chaos gods, are starting to pay attention to humans, because they poked their nose into the warp.
This would also explain the weird happenings.
Its not an entity on the event horizon.
Its that one or more of the crew have psionic potebtual, and the corruption of the warp and the fear of the eldritch infinit chaos of the warp and chaos gods is simply overwhelming to the psi sensitive minds. So they go mad and affect the material universe psionically.

The Warp is a place beyond the material, it is the Immaterium, a place of pure emotion, the Gods of Chaos being born of the emotions of Man and other sabient beings such as the Elder. Not only is it a place beyond the material, it is a place beyond TIME, as such when Slaanesh was born from Eldar decadence, the other Gods of Chaos were already there. Thus, it is logical to assume that the Gods of Chaos have always been present, since the dawn of man, and when the Event Horizon first travelled to the Warp, they encountered them, and any deaemon they sent to infect the ship.

The second in the movie got snatched by Tzeentch because the builder of the ship was to greedy for knowledge, and the scene with the eyes after the ship revived him (i think he turned into a deamon at this point). And it would match with the state in the past, because in a video, the event horizon existed 15000 years before the whole Age of strife. And we know how long humanity takes till they rediscover technology (10000 years of stagnation after the horus heresy).a good grimdark prequel for a truly grimdark Universe right ;)?

That depends. as it would be percieved, they where always there in existance, but this is not realy true. As you enter in the warp, you excist nowhere, everywhere and anywhere aswell as in the past, present and future all at the same time. So even if there was a time without chaos gods, the moment they where "born" it would be percieved they where always there.
So it could very well be that during the time Event horizon when to the warp, no chaos gods excisted while once they where 'born' they would be percieved as excisting there at the same time as Event Horizon. Its a nice Paradox that doesnt make sense while it makes sense.
So that could explain no chaos gods excisting in 3K and all the chaos gods existing in 40K while its percieved that the oldest of the chaos god excisted for billions of years from the birth of the universe, even if there was no sentient life to feed the chaos/warp.

In the event horizon logs of what the crew did to each other when slowed down the crew can be seen raping each other, that has never happened in 40k, so I would say 40k is soft compared to this.

the only difference is that the Cenobites dont touch their subjects and draw out desires and sin while the Chaos gods are very hands on.

@@ronniebots9225 In the first Hellraiser movie, the Cenobites said something along the lines of them being explorers of the furthest reaches of experience. So, they could be agents of Slannesh.

love the idea of the movie being in the 40k universe, so not here to take that away. I just noticed one thing, there is prob more but the captain has an american flag patch on his jacket sleeve.
hate to say it but America is prob loong gone in 40k.

Funnily enough, I've heard recently from a one of Luetin09's lore videos that Mount Rushmore may very well still exist on Holy Terra. No idea which video, but they were referred to as something along the lines of "The Forgotten Heros" or something along those lines.

I'm not really sure what you are getting at here. I think you are taking the time frame of 40K far too literally. The theory is that Event Horizon takes place in the same "universe" as 40K, not the same time period; essentially very very early in humanity's quest to explore the stars, and being completely ignorant of The Warp, Chaos, etc. So of course the United States, UK, Australia and all the other nation states of Earth still exist, just like they did in the 40K universe. Not sure why you would think differently. Earth is still very much Earth in 40K, it's just, at this point, about 41000-42000 years into a very grim dark future.

@@BallisticSollution Your right and dont forget that during the dark age of technology alot has been forgotten about how tech works. So while event horizon in 3K we witness the basiscs on how warp travel was invented, in 40K they dont know how warp travel works, just that it works and how to build more warp drives.
So current age 3K Earth could very well turn into Holy Terra of 40K. According to the deep lore, no one realy knows about Holy Terra ancient days and even in 37K years of recorded history, alot gets lost in the past.
