The trouble with this is that when I try it, it does not offer SIM swap. It simply tells me that I can't activate it because I already have an activated SIM. I know that - but it is faulty. That is why I want to change the SIM - but I can't.

The 6 month “clock” starts when sim is activated
So if I get a new sim card how do I make sure that I have my current goody bag on the new SIM

Sorry but it cannot be done. Don't make a new account as your number/credit/goodybag is tied to your original account.

Hi, thanks for the video. I lost my SIM card, so I reported it lost, had it barred and ordered a replacement but it says no service and won’t allow me to activate it’s been over 24 hours
Also my account won’t let me log in, I know for sure I didn’t change any log in details and use it often. I can’t change the password either because it’s connected to my old email I no longer have access to

You can keep your old number by performing a SIM swap. You can perform a SIM swap on your account here, giff.ly/3xTMWRq
You just need to scroll down to where it says 'SIM card' as the heading. Then if you select 'Replace my SIM', you can swap the SIM there. Just make sure you're logged into the correct account, as this would replace the SIM card on this account. This will allow you to change the SIM whilst keeping the same number, account and credit. - giffgaff Emer.
