Berklee a Les Arts: Queens - “Green Aphrodisiac” (Live at Berklee Valencia)

Berklee Valencia students performed “Green Aphrodisiac” by Corinne Bailey Rae as part of Berklee a Les Arts: Queens.
This multidisciplinary work was created by Berklee Valencia students, faculty, and staff, exploring the themes from the opera Maria Stuarda (Mary Stuart) by Gaetano Donizetti, which takes inspiration from the confrontation between Mary Stuart (Mary I of Scotland) and Elizabeth I (Queen of England).
Conceived as a tribute to outstanding musical personalities from the U.K and Ireland such as Sade, Kate Bush, Laura Mvula, Sinead O’Connor, Lianne La Havas, Amy Winehouse, and Adele, to name a few, Berklee a Les Arts: Queens was also a reflection on competitive behavior and rivalry within the music industry.
