I bought the Lumineth spearhead, thought okay. Then I saw a shark with two riders and 2300 points later here I am. Love the Idoneth Deepkin. Thanks for this great video
Great video, found this really helpful as so far I've only used beast masters and kind of dismissed the other battle formations. I'd love to see some content from you where you go through some of the tricks you can use with idoneth now, showing examples on a board or graph. Keep up the good work though, this is great content!
Great video. New to IDK and AoS in general so this was really informative. Think I’ll take Beastmasters formation to practice until I get more comfortable with the game then switch to Soul Raid.
Hi! Loving the content and subscribed immediately. I'm new to idoneth so couple of questions: Soul Raid Ambushers: can be done with units that are in combat? Steed of tides: can I use it for units in combat? and can I move the unit in the movement phase if it has been teleported with this spell? My understanding based on how I read all these rules is that Yes for all but would like to confirm.
@@rmj2018 yes to the first two, no to the last. In the core rules there's a paragraph which states you can never move a unit in the movement phase if it's been set up in the same turn.
Funny, Akhelian beastmasters is really the most popular, now. I think it's because we really have only 2 units that can nab us multiple battle tactics reliably, since they're so fast, they hit hard, etc. and it's the eels. So....what are you going to take with them, Isharann council? Nah, you gotta save those slots for Volty for the synergy.
@@leejesm Ryan ran a pretty good list with the Ambushers against me. Due to circumstances he had very little left at the end of turn two and he still almost grabbed the game with just being to teleport everywhere for tactics and objective control. So I can definitely see your points, but I think Ambushers is still very strong.
Hey man, really appreciate the kind remark! We def pride ourselves on making a good looking video for you guys, so it’s always awesome hearing it didn’t go unnoticed! And yes, LOTS more faction reviews coming up over the next few months. Tzeentch and Slaves are currently in the works
Never played them, but fought against them once, at the beginning of third. They remind me of the pelagic kingdoms from the dominions series. So much possibility to paint them in dep sea dark or coral pastels! One day I'll get an army of them. But painting marine life intimidates me!!
For specific warscroll breakdowns, we want to build up some experience with each faction first. Ryan has been playing idk a whole bunch and I've been busy with Lumineth. We'll get to the other faction eventually but it will take some time. Hang tight ❤️
I missed the beginning for ethersea voyagers when they come in turn 2 or whatever is it anywhere on the board? And do i need to roll for the units to come in?
@@berzerkirgaming6860You’re welcome! Was a blast to make! And no, as per the Core Rules, no units can use Move abilities in the movement phase after a set up. They can however charge in the charge phase, which means a 9” charge standard, but a 7” charge with the Soulscryer, and the Tidecaster can give you a +1” on top of either as well
Back to all eels again......I wasnt around for the launch of 3rd, but if all anyone is going to do is mass brick elite units (3x 6 units of eels, 3 x6 units Varanguard, 3x 6 units krox, 3x6 units of troggs, et fucking cetera) then whats the point? How is this game fun? At least 3rd edition forced you to take some battleline while your one or two units of elites made the biggest impacts near the most critical objectives and plays. I really hope next season's rules are better.
Hm, I actually see a lot of mixed lists these days! And yes, most have one big unit of killy stuff, but that used to be the case before. Eels mixed with shorty infantry and some smaller capturing units is a build that does fine!
Kind of true. Most armies seem to have one good unit that's just MILES above better than everything else. Most people I play locally really only have 2 different non-hero warscroll units in bricks.
Wonderful video! Breakdown was super well done and graphics were incredibly informative! Keep up the great content :)
Thanks a ton!

Production value is off the chart. Came here for my Idoneth but will stay if you do other factions.

Definitely get you: the possibilities are endless, but that's also part of the risk, I feel.
When are you guys doing the third and final aelf book, daughters of Khaine?

They arrive on any battlefield edge. No roll required.
