Hey, new player here! I kinda wish these video guides were quick and easier to follow; I'm having trouble paying attention because it takes so long to get the important information.
This is definitely going to be useful, thanks for the guide! Also, one thing to maybe add in future to this game mode that would be cool in my opinion would be the ability to raise/enhance characters' expedition skills. That way you could send your faves on expedition too and not just have the same teams with the most optimal units out all the time.
So best strategy, gets your slots first than go for team a and b ideally +10 chiest and +10 gem color of the unit you are working on, striker = red, tech = yellow, support = blue
Seems like farming the chests after unlocking the 6 slots is by far the most important. So both teams should be level 10 chest. I think that for most days, it would be best to use coins to buy the item that boosts chests.
You only think the keys are expensive right now, but just wait a few weeks(or at least days) while you level up the friendship. Since you still auto farm items with the expeditions, you will be swimming in these items very soon. I also feel like the team unlocks were waaay too cheap, for the same reason.
Unintentionally I went with my 2 favorite regions, Johto just got some solid blue and chest people, Unova got some solid red and yellow people. Caitlin, Nate, champion Iris, and either Skyla holiday or Tornadus both provide same buffs, only at 4 slots not, then team 2 regular Lyra, Krisuicune, Ethan Lugia, and either mismagius morty or SS. Jasmine and Falkner look to be my 5th and 6th slot in the future. Clair or either Bugsy would be solid, you want more chests then put in Silver instead of one of the latters. Sinnoh seems best for chests, although I haven't looked at Kalos, Alola, or Galar yet.
I'm one of the people who went all in on chests for one of my teams hahaha. Can vouch for the bronze tier being unlocked last, and evidently being a bit slower than Poce's method. However, I expect to have 2, if not all 3 extra slots unlocked by end of today, so it's not a huge deal. I'm loving this new game dynamic, though I'm a little sad that once you do the 3 daily interactions and get your expeditions set up for the next entire 24 hrs, there's really nothing to do with it. Plus, with just the 3 interactions (for now), the friendship levelling does feel very very slow. Here's hoping it picks up once you can regularly buy the extra interactions every day. I was also hoping that the interaction was a full blown conversation? It's weird to me that it's not, it's basically just a minigame. Not sure if that choice of execution really matches the friendship lodge/interaction hype. But I do love that you continue to collect items while the game is off. I'm on the fence over whether I'd prefer more optional hands-on grinding as a fun time-waster with my day or whether it's better to be able to put the game down and go on with my life. :') Probably putting it down is the healthy choice haha!
I would love for them to have a 'Save Team' added to the expedition section. I already have a +10 Fiery & +10 Rare Cache and a +10 Soothing & +10 Rare Cache, but I don't want to have to keep reselecting units to play around with until I can find a quality +10 Wishful & + 10 Rare Cache
They already have pre-sets for battle teams. You should give feedback in the app to say you want the ability to save team pre-sets for expeditions too.
Thank you so much for the in depth guide! Got my 6th slot this morning! I did stick with the dedicated rare cache team (for fun), and the chests did treat me well. I can definitely see it being a struggle if luck is not on your side. My last slot ended up being the golds
Yeah I didn't get as quickly, but I got my 4th slot and just a few blue short of 2nd slot by today with my comps. Granted day 1 I also prioritized chest on 2nd team so probably why I'm behind too. Thought chest prioritizing would be best because oooh chest obviously give best rewards, maybe my inner pirate or viking lol. Anyway yeah not too hard, maybe if you're starting out, another reason like legendary gauntlet to prioritize multiple units rather than straight up powerful ones as nice as they can be, and even then positive about this game compared to other mobiles is any unit can be made good and powerful.
Thanks a lot that was informative despite your pointless blah blah during team combs 😅 but still I don’t have the time to do this 3/4 times a day as student so I will do this ones while playing the game for 30 minutes like most the time.
Once you unlock your fourth slot, just max Chest on both and you rack up so much items, and with the expedition items and cheers with a few colored boosting pairs than you passively get whatever one you need

Please post a video on f2p team for completing extreme battle event or with kanto sygna suit trio. Because I have neither gems to scout for any new kanto units nor I have snorlax and aerodactil. So it's a huge request please🙏.
Made the most sense to stick with her, considering she's the tutorial. Also, I do it like this. I go for stones in the day, and after 12 hours, I go for caches while I sleep.

What the heck determines the end of an interaction?? Mine are ending at 70-80% sometimes. And I also have terrible rng ever since the feature came out I get max vibes like once every other day😂
I've been getting destroyed by rng (hot topic choices not appearing), so I tried the feel ring once... it helped the first few rounds, but ultimately I got fewer super exciting hot topic choices than usual by the end, unfort. Idk how it works. Is it better to go for interesting/exciting and on-topic, or super exciting and off-topic?

Could you make a 141+ upcap tier list video? I bought one of the uncap items, but I have decision paralysis about which unit to use it on.
How many Masterfairs, if any, do you have? If you have one use it on them
You can zero out the innate bonuses for each team. It seems the only bonus you can’t zero out is from the extracts.

So. Something is wrong with the expedition teams. On my end, it thinks one team has a permanent boost toward Rare Caches.
