    The old fence of my wonderful old Bäuerle Table saw was just too much of a hassle for me.
    So I built it a brand new one out of aluminium and plywood tricked-out with modern features like a flip up stop block, a stick on tape measure for easy and accurate cuts and a zero clearance support pad.

    Nothing says German engineering more then timing and weighting the difference. I always like the German UA-camrs.

    What I enjoy most about your channel is that, even though your solutions are usually project/tool specific, the application of pragmatic engineering principles is not. I almost always find inspiration of germane ideas for the purpose of improving my own shop time.

    Sometimes being German is not always the best. I personally sometimes drive myself crazy with layers of thinking thoughts linked together and just holding them in my mind. He's a great kid I wish he worked in my shop.

    Hi Cosmas, great solution, but you actually cheated when comparing the two. When you remove the old fence you still have to remove the two bolts and cranks in order to rip a wide board/sheet, so the 55 seconds will actually be much longer. I have enjoyed many of your projects. All the best.

    • @DerAngeloMerte
      @DerAngeloMerte 4 роки тому +5

      thought the same.
      I guess to remove and attach the screwed down bolt would add about 2 minutes

    It will take even longer than 55sec if you also have to remove those two bolts in order to rip cut something bigger and then putting them back for other cross cuts.

    I don't know why this video feels more casual than previous ones, but I like the vibe!
    Also, your table saw's cast iron is very sexy!
    Also also, your design is simple, minimal, yet effective, great job.

    really well done, but don't you have two table saws? So you could just set one up for ripping and one for cross cutting, no? 🤔

    • @CosmasBauer
