I really like Sinead on some of her songs but I think she murdered this beautiful, tender old song. Not many people can sing this song, but if anyone would like to hear a beautiful version that isn't overdone, I'd suggest Roisin O'Reilly .

To me it spells out the need for stealth and living in the shackles of oppression. Importantly though, the oppressed are fighting back " in sweet and undertones the song of hearts desire" In my opinion this is a rebel song.
