Out of all of UA-cam channels covering Battlefield and other games in that vein, I feel you are the only one that seems to stay logical while still being a fan of the series. Don't worry bro. Once you would reach the EA website you would quickly waste hours because the site must've been totally overloaded. Doing anything on the site costs you 5 minutes. I was doing a survey and it took me like 2 hours because the site kept crashing on me. Thankfully I manged to sign myself up the end.
I got way to excited to see the 10-15 clip of gameplay. Like literally cried last when i saw the bf3 Abram’s tank concept art yesterday. Then i saw the rpg you pointed out. Notice the goof soldier animation that looks like hes being stretched across the screen. I immediately pumped the brakes on my excitement bcuz this is how i felt when i saw the 2042 trailer. If you go back and watch that trailer now it all makes sense. They didnt lie they just cleverly hid what we didnt want to see with what WE WANTED to see. Hold fast lads!
The supposed confirmation that specialists are fucking GONE is giving me hope, also the visual direction looked far more cohesive. If they keep the game grounded it's gunna kick ass I bet. I actually kinda like the 128 man servers but the maps just aren't done well enough. Either case they are far fucking better than the slop in Delta Farce.
@@jonredcorn862 128 man servers was partially what caused the shit maps tbf. It also limits what they can do without causing way too much damand on the server. I am pretty sure destruction was non-existent in 2042 because of the extra 64 players.

You’re telling me you didnt cry either?!?!?!? I felt like i was in the streets of Falluja running for my freaking life with my heart on fire, while sweating bullets!!! Then the heroic anthem!!!! Fucking incredible ive been chasing that high for over a decade fam. Yeah i cried, grow up dog, battlefield 3 came down in a bubble dog (and kissed me on my sweet battle-feels then left too soon)
I really want leveloution that alters the way the map is played whilst keeping the map playable and fun. Almost like little things that would be easy to do like cranes falling, ETC.

Yup the shilling is real, and sadly enough the only people that will playtest are brown nosing content creators that will straight lie to their followers about the quality of the game for money and a few free copies of the game just so dice can get a few more suckers to buy the game. All ea had to do was remaster bf3 and bf4 for the next four yrs n just add some movement features like vaulting to those games and we would’ve been happy tbh at least for me
The last time EA followed such approach was with the Dead Space remake and the development of Skate 4. If executed well, this could lead to something positive. Fingers crossed they're to compete with The Finals, a very solid sandbox and destruction shooter, as well as Delta Force. Challenging times for DICE; they need to fully embrace this feedback-oriented approach.
I’m cautiously optimistic as in the short trailer there wasn’t any operator like actions. Really just wanna get back to controlling a standard foot soldier with no super powers lol
The video dice has released definitely doesn't get them off the hook or mean that "we're back". But I think it does give the battlefield community a little bit more hope that things could go in the right direction. As well, that dice has shown that they're capable of knowing what their community actually wants and that is for them to listen to us. Which doesn't seem like a big ask, but I digress. It shows that they can and please for the love of god I hope they do listen to us because they could make a kick-ass game if they listen to feedback and from what they've shown us that they have developed already.
That 6 second teaser looked way more like a 2042 reskin than BF3. Animations, textures/models straight ripped out of 2042. My guess is they just removed specialists, made some Middle East maps and called a day.
I wanted a from the ground up redesign of all of that. More corner cutting. I'm not sure EA understands why BF2042 was so bad. It wasn't just specialists and lack of maps.
Honestly i will wait to watch the game play from you before considering a purchase. Not emotional about this, but transactional. If it turns out to be a good game it is a plus. If it flops, i think it will likely flop, not my loss.

If the game is still being developed in Frostbite then I have extreme concerns. The development team that was there when it was made is long gone. Industry standard engines like Unreal are drastically different than the rumored difficult Frostbite Engine. 2042 was a disaster. Battlefield 1 was very immersive but the gameplay wasn’t even close to a battlefield title. BF4 was great years after launch with older maps. The team from the BF3 days is LONG gone. No pre-orders.
In Australia here we played Portal for the majority of the games life cycle just to be able to get a game. People created normal servers. Not all bad I guess.
I just hope the aim assist isn't broken, hit reg is good and no massive input delay and il pay for the game. I'm not playing trash for another 3 years cos there's nothing else to play.
I'm still not going to pre order. and i can see the "hype" is rising. but I'm waiting for that 10 minute full gameplay to get my personal hype up. all they showed off is rouhgly 8-10 seconds of minor gameplay. now we need a full 10 minute gameplay clip to really tell us how far they have come

I’d imagine a lot of the game play mechanics, weapons ect are going to carry over from 2042 and feel similar, they basically have a decent working game they can revamp into a brand new game and deliver it with minimal issues.
8:56 this is arguably the most important part of this rollout. EA isn't in the best position rn and its not crazy to say they could go down the same path as Ubisoft in the near future. I'm not exactly hyped yet but I am very interested to see how everything plays out
I’m just hoping this next Battlefield game will be good enough to make me quit BF4 for good. BF1 came really close but I kept switching back and fourth between it and BF4 because I’m more interested in modern military. I’ll listen in for new updates but I’ll remain on the bench at the station until there’s significant gameplay footage before jumping on the hype train again lol. I am a bit worried that the pre-alpha might have been using placeholder generic soldier models that will be replaced by would-be dumb characters. And also their use of bf3 music with the voice lines of those older games, just like the rendezook from 2042 trailer to draw players in to preorder. I know this is extremely pessimistic and condescending but what else considering their history with deceiving the playerbase
Yea after BFV I was like ok this is not a good sign but still held hope. BF2042 came out and I made the disastrous mistake of preordering the $130 edition. When the game came out I got burned so badly I haven't even had it installed since 2 days after it released. The game in its current state from what I've seen is how the launch should've been at launch at the bare minimum. I learned the hard way but I don't preorder games anymore.... Except Baldur's Gate 3 I had 100% confidence in that after I played the early access and saw that even some of my own feedback was acted upon.
Since the new management is in place ( season 1-2 of 2042). We have to admit they seem to be going on the right direction. Proof is in the pudding. But the vibe of this clips is what I wanted. For me the priority is having a fonctionnal no bug game upon release. They can’t afford another broken launch. That for me is also a reason to be hopeful as faillure is not an option for them.
That gameplay looked from campaign. Ånd this time they have smth to show of beside the multiplayer. I'll wait till i see uncut gameplay, so we can see how it plays out.
I think bringing back the CTE is a great idea to prevent bugs and making the game higher quality. But I‘m also a bit concerned because bro, some of these opinions in the Battlefield Community are so brain dead: „No Movement! „200 damage servers! Hey enders, i am excited about the new battlefield, and looking at all the parameters i think it is safe to say that we will have a solid game at launch, casue they realise that this is their last shot and ecpectations are really low, all they need to do is replicate the same formula and no new innovation is required, have the game rigirously tested which this Labs thing will take care of it, take notes from the good creators and players, listen to the community, which seems like they are all ears. So people who will get to playtest at the early states will give feedback and at later playtest they can confirm if they are being heard or not which will be a good sign for us, Maps will be tested with good amount of players, so we can expect good flowing maps, we already know the changes that are confirmed such as class system and 64 players, comming back which was a huge issue. Too much destruction is concerning but can also be a game changer if implemented well. Only thing which is concerning me is Gun Play, Gun balance, mouse input which you point out alot, Auto team balancing ( i am looking forward for something which solves this issue, casue i was fed up with huge imbalances i matches in Bf2042, it was like out of 10 matches you will have like 2 games where wins were 150-100 tickets and not 0 - 900 tickets) Also Need All Chat and VOIP And Scoreboard at launch. This woke mentality of tone policing and making sure there is no toxicity in the game which leads to putting up restrictions such as no scoreboard so people can make love to themsleves is just so freaking bull kit, i think current sinarious and example in the gaming world and in the entertainment industry have made it clear that going woke is going broke, with the recent release of Hollywood movies and games like Veilguard, AC shadows, BF's women in war controversy, has made this clear this weak as aproach of inclusion and being too soft is not apriciated in online gaming, they must learn from it and do not make the same mistake of putting up those stupid ass restrictions on us, hope they will learn. To be honest now i have a good amount of hope from them and the signs are becoming clear that they wont be dissapointing us this time. And remember guys DO NOT PRE ORDER
They haven't put out anything that is concerning, everything has been good. But that being said, given their recent track record, we still need to hold off on getting excited until we see more, especially to see how they run Battlefield Labs. Also, no preorders no matter what.

Because of all the caution that you exude and my own disappointments with bf I appreciate this video and am very guarded with my own expectations. But I am also excited to see the future and the little teaser that they’ve given us. My hopes are high but my expectations are low. In the middle is where I’ll be till more and more comes out. I'll be real i believe nothing they say or show in terms of what to expect. I wish them the best and hope all goes good for them but i will hold my excitement for after release. Not falling for it again

Focus on feedback. So EA/Dice can take it all in and do exactly the opposite to it all. It would be lit if they brought back some old maps to BF6......that little clip gives me Strike at Kharkand vibes. And im with Enders on destruction. Well designed and placed smartly. It really is dumb how in like BFBC2 you could just turn most of the map into a barrel hellscape in a few minutes. How 1 RPG would bring down a whole section of a house, just a couple and the whole house is gone.......always felt a little excessive there.
After being burned with 2042 I will not trust them until release. Even if they show me a fancy trailer I’m not convinced. Do I hope it’s good? Yes, though it will all depend on the maps, gameplay, and especially if they nail the vehicle gameplay. I want to have more factions too, factions that I actually can care about. Not just some mercenaries but actual troops. I also hope we aren’t just facing insurgent number 5,000,000 That would be really boring. Also I’m kinda tired of sand tbh.
To be honest this quelled a lot of concerns about the progress of the next title, BUT after 2042 I’m going to be skeptical about the gameplay right up until the day of release. At least it seems they’re taking a more communicative approach with the community instead of their typical radio silent attitude they had during battlefield 5 and 2042.
@5:40 if they bring back Portal, then I'm already out. This means that they're going to continue with their matchmaking system and give us Portal which was straight up garbage. What little hype I had to begin with just fizzled out like a wet match. I want a server browser to play the game the way I want to and not the way EA wants me to.

Don't get your hopes up and do not pre order the game. This is Dice's third attempt at a decent BF game and unfortunately I have little to no faith in them to produce a quality product. I would hold out until we see more gameplay before jumping to any conclusions. And if the worst comes to it, we have to stick to DF until the next-next BF game in 2028 or later, assuming the franchise even exists then LOL.

Since the new management is in place ( season 1-2 of 2042). We have to admit they seem to be going on the right direction. Proof is in the pudding. But the vibe of this clips is what I wanted. For me the priority is having a fonctionnal no bug game upon release. They can’t afford another broken launch. That for me is also a reason to be hopeful as faillure is not an option for them.

I think bringing back the CTE is a great idea to prevent bugs and making the game higher quality.

Hey enders, i am excited about the new battlefield, and looking at all the parameters i think it is safe to say that we will have a solid game at launch, casue they realise that this is their last shot and ecpectations are really low, all they need to do is replicate the same formula and no new innovation is required, have the game rigirously tested which this Labs thing will take care of it, take notes from the good creators and players, listen to the community, which seems like they are all ears.
So people who will get to playtest at the early states will give feedback and at later playtest they can confirm if they are being heard or not which will be a good sign for us, Maps will be tested with good amount of players, so we can expect good flowing maps, we already know the changes that are confirmed such as class system and 64 players, comming back which was a huge issue.
Too much destruction is concerning but can also be a game changer if implemented well.
Only thing which is concerning me is Gun Play, Gun balance, mouse input which you point out alot, Auto team balancing ( i am looking forward for something which solves this issue, casue i was fed up with huge imbalances i matches in Bf2042, it was like out of 10 matches you will have like 2 games where wins were 150-100 tickets and not 0 - 900 tickets) Also Need All Chat and VOIP And Scoreboard at launch.
This woke mentality of tone policing and making sure there is no toxicity in the game which leads to putting up restrictions such as no scoreboard so people can make love to themsleves is just so freaking bull kit, i think current sinarious and example in the gaming world and in the entertainment industry have made it clear that going woke is going broke, with the recent release of Hollywood movies and games like Veilguard, AC shadows, BF's women in war controversy, has made this clear this weak as aproach of inclusion and being too soft is not apriciated in online gaming, they must learn from it and do not make the same mistake of putting up those stupid ass restrictions on us, hope they will learn.
To be honest now i have a good amount of hope from them and the signs are becoming clear that they wont be dissapointing us this time.

They haven't put out anything that is concerning, everything has been good. But that being said, given their recent track record, we still need to hold off on getting excited until we see more, especially to see how they run Battlefield Labs. Also, no preorders no matter what.

Because of all the caution that you exude and my own disappointments with bf I appreciate this video and am very guarded with my own expectations. And im with Enders on destruction. Well designed and placed smartly. It really is dumb how in like BFBC2 you could just turn most of the map into a barrel hellscape in a few minutes. How 1 RPG would bring down a whole section of a house, just a couple and the whole house is gone.......always felt a little excessive there.

2042's trailer was in june and also was very noticeably lacking gameplay. there was a gameplay trailer after that.
After being burned with 2042 I will not trust them until release. Even if they show me a fancy trailer I’m not convinced. Do I hope it’s good? Yes, though it will all depend on the maps, gameplay, and especially if they nail the vehicle gameplay. I want to have more factions too, factions that I actually can care about. Not just some mercenaries but actual troops. I also hope we aren’t just facing insurgent number 5,000,000 That would be really boring. Also I’m kinda tired of sand tbh.
To be honest this quelled a lot of concerns about the progress of the next title, BUT after 2042 I’m going to be skeptical about the gameplay right up until the day of release. At least it seems they’re taking a more communicative approach with the community instead of their typical radio silent attitude they had during battlefield 5 and 2042.
@5:40 if they bring back Portal, then I'm already out. This means that they're going to continue with their matchmaking system and give us Portal which was straight up garbage. What little hype I had to begin with just fizzled out like a wet match. I want a server browser to play the game the way I want to and not the way EA wants me to.

Honestly I think this past like 8 years has just completely broken me of ALL MP games. I just went off and started doing ALL SP games and honestly; it's just better on this side of gaming. I don't even think that if the next BF was good it could even bring me back at this point. I think I've just moved on in life.

I mean unless they do a shared attachment system like I hate to say it...the new CoD games despite they bad they are, to cut down on the tedious bullshit grind people are still gonna farm bots and I don't blame them. I would do it to if I was forced to unlock the same 20 attachments 100 times to try to keep up with the META and actually compete with the TTV sweats. Don't get your hopes up and do not pre order the game. This is Dice's third attempt at a decent BF game and unfortunately I have little to no faith in them to produce a quality product. I would hold out until we see more gameplay before jumping to any conclusions.
And if the worst comes to it, we have to stick to DF until the next-next BF game in 2028 or later, assuming the franchise even exists then LOL.
