I have a 'GU502LU' and a key broke off my keyboard and I couldn't re attach it, then the power jack became really loose. I'm not really sure why, it's loose but if I move my laptop even a little, it goes off and on! (Like plugging / unplugging the power to it type of loose). I Tried out the replacement DC jack part (Just putting the cord end into it without power) and plugged it in and, it fits like it used to! Not really sure if that's a common problem or not, with the ROG line of GU502. The only other weird thing that has happened it the refresh rate is messed up. If I have it on 140, I get these weird lines all over the screen. Amazingly, setting it to 60 HZ fixed! Idk if that's a common issue either. Not really sure of the cost for a replacement screen so, I might just have to live with it. It's been a good laptop though overall! Anyways, thanks for the video as this will definitely be helpful in fixing it!
Hello friend, a question, can the fan blade be removed? The thing is that mine already rattles and the bearing bearings need to be maintained. I tried to remove them but they were a little hard so I better ask you, lest I damage them.
I replaced the CPU fan last night but now the screen is not turning on anymore (however I hear the sound of the startup booting and the keyboard lights up). Any idea on what to try?
I have this same one and I want to know how to add that extra SSD for more gaming space storage...😊 I need recommendations as to what SSD best suits the M15 RTX2060... I don't have much experience with this 😕 so needs to be like a How to For Dummies guide 😂😂 kind of thing
I got the gu502gu for quite some time now, Honestly Asus quality is absolute dogshit, I spent so much money on different parts, I replaced fans, keyboard, keyboard shell, bluetooth and wifi antennas, battery, re-pasted everything and on top of everything now after 4-5 years my screen has a backlight bleed, and I literally haven't even used this laptop that much since university, literally it is sitting home and getting used for Content consumption and some light tasks.
Can you remove the fan without removing the heatsink?
Could tell me which one is the bios chip on the motherboard? I see 2 bios chip
Is there a backplate screw diagram?... None of these videos explain which screws go where. Theres 2 sets, ones longer than the other.
Yeah, in the page official of ASUS
@@javierskr7011 Where do I find that?
thank you, needing to do this today

Check your memory ram, also try to disconnect your replaced fan a d Check if screen will turn on( try to eliminate if there any short)
Thanks for the reply! You said the RAM is integrated, how can I check it?

You can go with either m2 or 2.5 sata ssd
why it say have 4 slots for memory ram, but only have one
Motherboard has on board memory, however for the upgrade ourposes it only has one extra memory slot.
@@Laptopnuts maybe a stupid question but can it fit one slot of 32 gigs of ram?
thanks mate
I'm trying to replace the keyboard and reuse my palm rest, how difficult would u say it is to do that.
You would have to take laptop a part completely as shown in our video, keyboard is removable ad its being held on the plamreat by few screws.
Does this laptop have a CMOS battery?
Yes, it's located between the M.2, RAM slot, and battery. It's wrapped in black and plugged into the board, not slotted like a normal battery.
I accidentally break the wifi cable color gray wire. Is This can be still fixable?
You can simply tape it together
