World Chess Champion Ding Liren returns for the 86th edition of the Tata Steel Masters, a 14-player single round-robin taking place from 13-28 January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands.
The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided by two blitz (3+2) games. If still tied, the players keep playing single "sudden death" games where White gets 2.5 minutes and Black 3 minutes until one side wins. The monetary prizes will be shared evenly. Nodirbek is really good at endgames and he is very resilient player.
Someone told me Nodirbek makes a lot of mistakes in chess openings. A worthy top 4 in rapid WFRCC 2022Oct. Let's see if Nodirbek is as good in classical WFRCC hopefully in 2024Feb just like in 2019Nov
I love how Nodir popped onto my radar in the last year! Same with Gukesh. Two monsters right there!
Nodirbek is really solid in classical chess. I mean, of course he's good at faster time formats, but there's something dynamically aggressive and sound in his chess. He's less attacking than Firouzja, but can go into tactical melees that end up with him on top most of the time.
He is almost like mini Magnus
Extremely sharp and solid during opening and grinding like Magnus in endgames
@@anilbista7445 correct
I think he’s more balanced than Alireza. It’s like he’s a more mature version of alireza.
He's got them killer's eyes.. and getting reputation as one too..
Nodi is kind of underrated, everyone talking about Alireza and Gukesh but I think Nodi really has what it takes to be the world champion soon
None sense, No one underrated Nodirbek 😀. He always plays solid games and shows good fight.
What is this thing with calling top players 'underrated' (not only in chess!)? This word is just a pest on social media. Is it to make yourself look good because you were "the only one who saw it"? Come on.
Actually really interesting to think about who will becaume world champion first out of Alireza, Nordibek, Gukesh and Pragg (if at all obviously) or if someone like Vincent or Arjun will achieve this. Seems like the next generation has truly arrived!
It will be Pragg almost certainly
I’m inclined to think Pragg has the better chances
Even if alizera gets the chance i feel like he gonna throw his chances off
Nodirbek)

Gukesh vs Max in the same round, where Max had amazing opening prep and Gukesh took a bunch of time to figure out 8mins Vs 1h 20 mins at some point, equalised and then still went on to grind out a win
Reminded me of Magnus style
Nordirbek got a good knight vs. bishop endgame where his outside passed pawn overstretched black’s king and bishop. All of Nodirbek’s pieces and pawns were at times all on light squares giving Giri’s bishop no targets.
THANK YOU for restoring Pause the video links!!
Haha nice thumbnail trick. Thanks for not spoiling the result 👍🏼
I just sees aa champion in Nodirbek eyes. He is just a monster like magnus , I have seen Gukesh , Arjun stumbling in the last rounds , but man Nodirbek is Devilish 😈. As an Indian i feel some where at the end of this decade we might see a world Championship match of Pragg VS Ndrbk
Man that horse did a serious work in the endgame for Nodirbek.
#suggestion Gukesh vs Max Warmerdam
*explosive* idea. classy.
Excellent
Beautiful game!
Nodirbek farming the farmers 😁
#suggestion Kasparov vs. Topalov 1999! Greatest game of all time remake!
Nice game. Good positional chess
If you want that you want to be more precise then i would like to suggest you to give the update what what was there in the clock with needful suggestions
Thank you,
Regards,
Tirthraj.
The pink panther.
Inspector Clueso: "I suspect everyone and no one. I accuse everyone and no one.
Very beautiful game
This game show why Nodribek is one the greatest chess players of this Era. This game was either equal or in Giri favor but he never allowed Anish to take advantage of c double pawns weakness and he came out with one of the greatest chess endgame masterpiece against Petro defense in chess history.
my top agad content (1=best):
10. shorts
9. coverage of current tournaments
8. chess puzzles
7. agad playing on lichess
6. coverage of classic tournaments
5. random game with crazy lines without any context
4. saga of classic players
3. engine games
2. what is this sorcery
1. every game with ivanchuk in it
I'd add games with Dubov too
When they reach move 40, what is meant by “Time control”
# suggestion Kasparov vs Topalov Hoogovens 1991
nodirbek is a endgame monster
Can we agree that it is no-DIR-bek and not no-DRI-bek? Thanks 🙂
Nice game
A Kingdom of Heaven reference
# Suggestion Gukesh vs Warmedam his third win in row
I am sad Noderbik is not going to play in the candidates
I like how his channel description is simply his paypal account ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No, that's just the "links". Above it there's "Hello everyone!" and if you click that you get the full description. (at least on PC)
Always glad to see when drawing openings like the Petroff and Berlin lose.
Im sorry, after black king move at 04:05 why not trade rook and get free pawn?
thank you
It's funny when rivals crash
Endgames is why I like the no increment time controls
The players are afraid of losing which is reasonable I guess but boring to watch
We used to watch the best chess players in the world sweat and their hands tremble as their clock ticked away
Beautiful tempo so important ZugZwang what a Bish Nice game Nordi thanks for the Game
11:27 Why can't white play a7? After black plays Kb7, Nc5 will force a trade into winning endgame.
NodirBEAST > Alitrasha 😉
Already?? really? Agad is fast)
What a turn of events... Vidit Won and Anish Lost!!!
Spoiler
Nodirbek won this like Paul Morphy, he won without being a butcher.
Interesting...
Missing magnus
13:19 why giri did not took the knight???
No time. Because Nordirbek can make a passed pawn and capturing the knight wastes a tempo so the white king can stop black's passed pawn.
True..thanks
gg
8:14 Finding this rather explosive idea - it is pawn to c4!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Alireza proving that he does not deserves to be in this candidates
Nodirbek played B4 and won, are we surprised he whom played B4 was the victor?
Poor Anish misses out on another draw.
lol like last game he threw a win
I like Nodirbek's style.
ok, so for future reference, if pawn to b4 has already been played, then play pawn to C4 of course!
I found f6 😮 is that an achievement?
Noice
Abdusattorov was very well-prepared for this game. I think he was in the book till move 25-26, then finding 31.b4 and 34.c4 at exactly the correct time. All based on the extra tembo he created with 16-Bh7+ absolutely brilliant!
Amish made no course on e5
The world champion struggling to get a win 😂 where is the real one Magnus?
Left because his competition was so weak. Prime example: Ding
The real Magnus quit 🤷🏻♂️
Ding is the most underwhelming champion in decades, if not ever.
I don’t miss him try writing him a fan letter I’m sure he’ll be glad to hear from you 🙄
harsh but true
2nd: PLEASE agad it's been 4 months! 2023 USCC - Atousa almost beat Carissa Yip, the eventual winner!
Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.
It's Hikaru's WIFE vs Wesley's GIRLFRIEND.

Chess is a weird game. Same number of pawns and knight versus bishop but one side wins!
one of the things that makes it so fascinating
1st: Hans Niemann = next Bobby Fischer
- Wesley So = current Bobby Fischer
- Bobby Fischer's ghost = old Bobby Fischer
- Beth Harmon = Bobby Fischer in another universe
Each of these 4 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'.
Speaking of Wesley So
Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend!
2023 USCC - Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech.
But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.
move 54 for black is an 8-move equality puzzle
it's so sharp

Find something real and meaningful to complain about, bro.
Pathetic
Why would you say something like this? Please be more careful with your words.
Incel xd
@@arvindiyer6012 I didn't complain about anything though?
