I was a missile cop in the AF. I remember the day in 1991 when the 'capsule crew' said the cold war was over. What did that mean? It meant that the Soviet Union became Russia again. They became more democracy-like. Metallica in Moscow was incredible!! But the crowds...I'm awestruck!! Even military members were celebrating. That was the first time any of them had gotten to celebrate or express any freedom in their lives! Sadly, things have gone back to the Soviet Era under Putin. I pray that Russia will be in for another change and soon!
Metallica are the Beatles of heavy metal. You cannot deny their longevity or catalog. Even if they aren't your favorite, they brought metal to the masses like no other, straight legends! Master of puppets One Nothing else matters Just a few tidbits to check out
I kept watching his face while he was singing man and you could tell he they had played huge concerts before, but never 1.3 billion people something they will never never forget. This will go down in history.🫶🏼
Hey Sceez, "For Those About to Rock: Monsters in Moscow" is the movie made about this festival/concert. There was also an article written in 2021 that states although there were violent clashes and injuries, no one was killed. And yeah, where in the hell were the bathrooms! Great reaction. I've seen Metallica in concert several times, always freakin' amazing! 🙂❤🤘
No one was killed!!??? Really????, I'm sure those 53 people in real life who died that day at this concert would have something to say about that. Know your facts, it's not hard to find them.
Apparently the crowd was sooo loud they couldn't hear the music they were making. So basically they made the song list and just followed it and hoped for the best. Didn't have a clue how it sounded at all coz they couldn't hear their ear pieces( management or roadys) or each oither. Just wing it, and hope it sounds great. It sounded awesome. They were in their prime here at the crazy age of just 27 and 28 years old. Best concert ever. The full length is available to watch on You Tube aswell.
"Where's the bathroom" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Metalica came out like there were 100 people there. I would have been scared 😱. No way to control that crowd..Amazing though..😁🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can u imagine having 1.6 MILLION sets of eyes on u??? 1.6M pretty crazy huh…..it’s a sea of people and no one died!!!! War ended and this was a peace concert!!! Amazing
To understand how monumental this was, you have to understand that this was after the end of The Cold War, we lived in constant fear if nukes. The people there had bootleg records and cassette tapes of Western music and movies. They could get in real trouble just for having it. So to finally be able to see these people in person and feel that music pumping through the speakers…. That had to of been one of their top 5 or 10 moments in life.
Hello from Cody Wyoming! You're awesome!!! I appreciate you and your reactions😊 I was about to say that you're becoming one of my favorite reactors... skip that sunshine you made it
In Russia if you listened to Rock you were cancelled meaning you would be fired, loose your home and end up in jail/gulag for vagrancy or whatever they felt like charging you. the concert was near the end of Communism in Soviet Russia, this was practically it's funeral and the people were very happy to able to hear what they wanted without fear. That's a military airports airfield Metallica played at the funeral of Soviet Russia soon after it's death the old Soviet State was burried and the russia we know now was born (still socialist so it's still pretty restrictive but communism was just evil).
Please do KORN blind live 99 Woodstock.....if you like lit crowds...it is a legendary performance that blows people's mind..plus Korn is at the top of the greatest bands ever...in my opinion lol.😎😎👍👍🔥😁
Now you gotta check out 2 more from this same show in Moscow 1991: Metallica - Creeping Death and Pantera - Domination. Both are so freakin EPIC!!! I'm a long time Metallica fan and I actually prefer Metallica's live version of Creeping Death to the album version now. It's that damn good.
My guess is that they all just went to the bathroom right where they were. 😬😬 CREEPING DEATH from this same show is even better than this imo. 🤘🏻Rock n Roll Sceez🤘🏻
This was great but naw you gotta do Creeping Death from same concert way more hype has 1.6 million ppl chanting Die n actually 58 ppl did die at this concert overall
Love it..Great reaction Sceez! Check out Roger Waters The Wall-Live In Berlin which was also done just after the Cold War ended and the Berlin Wall had just came down. Amazing concert with all the guest stars.
Contrary to urban legend no one died at the concert. There were some minor injuries, which is remarkable. These people were celebrating liberation for the time in more than one generation. It's kind of bittersweet considering what people living in Russia are dealing with now.
this concert was free, it was at the end of Communist Russia. They were celebrating the ability to listen to this sort of music without being but to death for it.
SCEEZ I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD START DOING ALBUM REACTIONS ON METALLICA THEY GOT BANGERS BRUH. MASTER OF PUPPETS AND JUSTICE FOR ALL WERE THE HARDEST. I honestly enjoy your antics, but you sometimes miss stuff because of it, and that bums me out. So I always end up hoping you go back and watch it all the way through.
It's great to see that you have so much have with the music - I really like that and actually love this! :-) But it's kind of sad, that you miss half of the video as your are dancing around instead of watching and listening! Don't get me wrong: But either you react to the song or to the video with the song. If you choose to react to the song, skip the video! :-)
I haven’t seen you react to Twenty One Pilots… You will vibe to most if not all of their music! Once you react to one, you’ll have so many suggestions what to watch next . ua-cam.com/video/ywvRgGAd2XI/v-deo.html
