What i didn't understand ( And i mean no disrespect to Clive Britain) is why Sheik Muhammad never sent Pebbles to Sir Henry Cecil who was usually his No1 trainer. I mean how many horses did Sir Henry train/have for Sheikh Muhammed at Warren Place ?? Fillies Indian Skimmer, Diminuendo were 2 i remember well.
Absolutely friend, 2 great Fillies that made me a few quid, you missed one though Oh So Sharp 👍Yeah Sheikh bought a percentage in Pebbles who was with Clive at the start but he would usually send his horses to Sir Henry.
@@bclaw35: Yeah I know that friend BUT after purchasing her my buddy wondered why Sheikh Mohammed didn't move her to Sir Henry ? I told him Sheikh Mohammed was an owner who was LOYAL to his trainers IF they did their job well & of course Clive done an amazing job with Pebbles winning Big races " Neil Gwyn, 1000 Guineas, Champion Stakes, Eclipse Stkes & Breeders Cup Turf "
The voice of the guy doing the narrating? I feel I know that voice but can't put my finger on who it is? It's definitely not Brough Scott which the end credits say it is.
I used to watch this as a child with my Dad and brother. Goosebumps and tears ❤❤❤❤ ... my favorite filly of all time!
I can confirm this story, being said brother. Forever my equine hero, Pebbles!

Cheers for the video, great horse.
Her last two wins will never ever be forgotten by all racing fans .
Yes but her 1000guineas win was fabulous and mostly she was 1st of her sex to win the Eclipse...
Was trying to watch the King George videos but said it was blocked thanks for posting videos of these great horses and Jockeys
I"m having the offending piece trimmed out so the King George should be back soon

Best filly ever
The Stable Lad John Harkness who rode and looked after Pebbles was my Ex Girlfriends Dad, Fran Harkness. I have just forwarded this video to her.

Because sheik mohammed bought Pebbles after she won the guineas n Clive already trained her
Pebbles was already in training with Clive before sheik Mohammed purchased her .

It was Ian Darke which threw me as he was 'boxing' outside of his natural habitat.
Ashame she didn't race El Gran Senor as a 4 yo. Same generation. What a generation it was.
i see that her later foals were registered in japan - 😔
