Good looking walnut Nathan…. Last week I went to the sawmill and bought some 4 x 6 Poplar beams and I bought some black walnut as well to make an entertainment stand out of the black walnut.. as I was driving home and pulled into my business parking lot. A sheriff deputy followed me through the gate. He wanted to know what the wood was and then he informed me that somebody has been stealing walnut trees in the area, and wanted to know where I got the wood from. I don’t know how people get away with stealing a tree and not being seen, but I guess it’s happened….. stay Safe 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼🔨🪚
Hey, Nathan... just so you know, I'm getting a bowl! @FRBPturning is making one for me out of the last set of Black Walnut blanks you sold - the blanks arrived with him last week and we're both pretty excited about the project. I don't know if you ever wonder where the wood you cut ends up but now some is coming to England!
Good looking walnut log that you milled down Nathan, glad you got some good wood out of that on the half's milling. Stay safe around there and keep up the great work and videos. Fred and family.
Just from a wood turning perspective where you had those checks you could also sale the splits because I personally would use those for those for peppermills, pen blanks, wands and several other things. Just throwing that out there in case you didn't think about it or know.
The tap at the end of the tape moves the thickness of the tape so you get the same accurate measurement if you push against the end or pull inside the tab, that is the purpose of the tab moving
You should set your pallets on risers to reduce bending over to stack your cut boards. You only have (1) body you need to do as much as possible to reduce the physical strain on your body while running a sawmill.
Good afternoon, Nathan. I know in a past video you said what your hearing protection is. I am unable to find them. Could you either post what they are or a link to them?
@@OutoftheWoods0623 something I've been meaning to share from my area. For the past month I've been getting cull scraps from local place it's being processed in traditional hardwood flooring but with black walnut. Will you use my wood oven and wood furnace. So far I've hauled 320 ft loads of these scraps. Lotta $$$$$ paid out this year for someone.
Nathan, it's really strange how cameras can distort the appearance of things. Those boards really do appear thicker than four quarters on camera. The camera lenses also make long, straight boards look curved. But we know they are straight.
When you saw lumber for someone and give them a bdft price, do you measure their log bdft or after you saw the log do you measure the lumber bdft you ended up with and charge them that bdft?
I was the guilty whiner about the hearing aides. Speaking of hearing I really enjoy the song you played at the beginning of the video. In the past I have listened to more selections from the artist. However I erased the bookmark I had. If you wouldnt mind what is the artists name? Thanks in advance.
😊😊HI N U should have a push broom 2 get dirt and mud off the logs it would help alot and make quicker 2 do so 😊😊 because dirt and mud pulls the blade and a chainsaw chain ⛓️ 😮 is the same way 😊😊 OMG 2 2 2O25
Have the flag 👮 police shown up @ the wood shop ❓ Actually, all those silly comments do help drive the algorithm toward the channel, all is not wasted. The flag orientation has not yet changed, difficult to bully Nathan 🇺🇸🗽🙏👌
😊😊 HI N now finally the days are getting longer again it's about time ⏲️ 😊 that it does so I looked yesterday evening and in the western sky after 615 PM it was still day light there I still can remember it wouldn't get dark until 1O PM at night now thats been many moons and years ago it's a shame it's not like that anymore 😊😊 OMG 2 2 2O25

How did Mr. Earl the rooster taste?
as soon as I asked about Mr. Earl, he crowed on the video
@4:09 when the rooster crowed, the closed caption said, "[music]" ...I agree! 😂
On the checked ends cut them 3x3x11" for pepper and salt mill blanks.....No waist. I make a lot of them and hard to find 3" timber.

Nice to see the mp260 getting some use. Any update on the conveyor? I’m interested to see if it gets in the way.
still waiting, shouldn't be too much longer
Enjoyed the video Nathan, not seen Bruno for a time hope the little guy is doing well. 💖

You can put some c a into the checking and still get a good bowl blank and it would only add character to them, some turner’s will like it !!
Thx
Use a caliber that’s what I use at the mill learned that from a old time sawyer

yeah I know that but on this tape it is looser than when it was made, thats why I showed it, thanks for watching

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.

Absolutely losing three aircraft with souls on board in a few days so great tragedy
