They may be manipulating the fact that some people were up until recently exempt from whistleblower protection, but their lack of protection does not mean the substance of their disclosure doesn't meet the commonly understood definition of whistleblower. What they are saying is if you tell Congress or the public that an agency is acting illegally or unethically and that disclosure isn't legally protected then when you are retaliated against you're not a whistleblower because we didn't agree you could be protected for disclosing that information. I was a whistle blower at the city level. I experiences horrific tactics by my co workers, managers, supervisors and the almighty city librarian. I’ll never forget the corruption within my department. I was not brave to face the retaliations but put up with years of it. These hearings make me feel a tiny bit of justice will take place but the FBI is truly above the law!

The fact that R's are calling out the corruption of the federal government shows that there are a growing number of representatives who are actually listening to their constituents. Considering how the Democrats handled the J6 hearings it is pure comedy that they throwing tantrums about not having access to whistle blower info prior to the hearing. At least they are allowed to send whoever they want to the hearing and ask questions which is more than they were allowing with all of their J6 witnesses (even those who were not whistle blowers) , whom they would not even allow any cross examination. Their time would be better spent listening to the witnesses and asking insightful questions instead of attempting character assignation. Considering how the Democrats handled the J6 hearings it is pure comedy that they throwing tantrums about not having access to whistle blower info prior to the hearing. At least they are allowed to send whoever they want to the hearing and ask questions which is more than they were allowing with all of their J6 witnesses (even those who were not whistle blowers) , whom they would not even allow any cross examination. Their time would be better spent listening to the witnesses and asking insightful questions instead of attempting character assignation. After the hearing with Matt Taibbi I am not shocked at their actions but I keep hoping things will improve. They knew this hearing was coming why didn't they bring evidence proving that there is not any weaponization of the Federal Government. Perhaps because they can not provide that.
