I just played Life is Strange 2 just last year, I truly didn't believe this was possible. The last video game that made me cry was Detroit: Become Human, until last year when Life is Strange 1 arrived. I fell deeply in love with Max, knowing that I forgave Chloe and had the courage to sacrifice her for the greater good, it only made me shed a couple of tears. But then Life is Strange 2 came into my life... and it's going to stay there. I didn't think it was possible for a video game to make me cry so much, to leave my clothes soaked in tears. Those tears are not in vain, it's because the affection and love I have for the Diaz brothers is something insurmountable. I now believe it's impossible for another game to make me feel this way. I'm so happy I found life is strange franchise with those two. I wasn't fond of Max and Chloe tbh , but I feel a deep connection with those two .Sean became a model and I really want a son like Daniel .I shouldn't have been so happy for the episode 5 .I cried for days , week because I will never see them again .I was so heartbroken when I knew that Life is Strange will not feature them .I was so happy before and now I feel like a void ...it's so cruel .The only thing I have to do now , it's to look forward and try to get a real life ...But this game learned me how to love and that now I want to live like Karen : travel around the world , be my self , with my future kids if I can .I'm just so sad that my parent's are not supportive as Karen nor Esteban ...but this game was a mental support for me and showed me that no matter who I am , where I will meet people who will love me and support me ..
I juste had the same experience. I cried day and night for 3 weeks, specially because whatever ending you get, it's a bitter win and also because I won't see them again in another LiS.
This song brings me to tears every time 😭😭😭 It has the same chord progression as Karen’s theme from episode 4, but instead of the electric guitar, it’s a gentle acoustic with piano, like the main instruments from Into the Woods. But as soon as those vocals come in, we have one voice singing Karen’s melody, while the other one sings the brothers’ melody... it’s like they’re finally singing in harmony, but during their last intimate moment as a family... the bittersweet calm before the storm...
This scene with the music had me all in my feelings when I first played through it. Just seeing Karen, Daniel and Sean bonding like a family got to my heartstrings.
When once again a place of quiet and love gets dangerous again and you have to leave a new found family. That's life is strange ;( Was very sad hearing it and cried every time I heard it.
Thx Dontnod for doing something different, touching somewhere different. Wolf Brothers' story are always gonna have a special place in my heart alongside with Max&Chloe's.
This is also one of the most unique things that I've seen in a video game(and Ive been playing for almost 5 decades:) They broke the 4th wall by saying farewell to the gamer before the final part. This was not essential to the plot, and yet, it felt like it was so much more...
I feel like this is where Sean and Daniel felt the happiest in a long time.. of course theyd rather he watching Lord of the Rings with Esteban at home but.. they way I played Away really gave me feeling they could finally breath and rest you know? Sean accepting Karen's flaws and her love eventually really makes me emotional. And Daniel..he was truly happy here, I wish they could stay in Away forever, shielded from pain and struggles, damn this makes me sob
This scene, alongside the giraffe scene from TLOU1, spaceship scene from TLOU2 and arthur morgan speech with the sister are the most beautiful scenes from gaming ever…
