Big Health Day 2024

We celebrated the 16th Big Health Day this year. This annual event features accessible activities designed to help people with a disability, a mental health condition, hearing or sensory loss to stay active and healthy.
The event was a great success (despite the early rain showers!) in bringing organisations and people from across Gloucestershire together, making a difference to people's quality of life, as well as reducing health inequalities.
As part of Carers Week 2024, this year Big Health Day also hosted various Carer support organisations as part of the event.
This year, we saw:
• 1,502 in attendance
• 155 volunteers
• 126 stallholders and static vehicle displays
• 400 Health Goody Bags provided by Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Trust Charity Fund
• 10 Inclusive sports and leisure activities
• 6 interactive workshops
• 2 Mounted police horses
• 5 Therapy dogs
• 1 pony
• 2 goats
• 5 Goslings / ducks
• 4 Hens
