Haven't banged my head as hard as this since I was dropped as a baby.
Evile is arguably the best band from the New Wave of Thrash Metal. This song is one that goes to show that Evile are the best. You can also hear the strong Pantera, Metallica and Slayer influence.
TheDarkomasia i'm sorry...but there are bands that are way better that evile...ok evile is a great band, with a great vocalist and a great lead guitarist, but if you check out bands like Vektor (listen to outer isolation) you'll change idea
Andrea nicolò That didnt change my mind
Andrea nicolò Vektor has a different sound, closer to a progressive set up. Evile however has riffs and vocals so similar to the aforementioned bands that they are bringing back the thrash style we all love and cherish(if it ever left). Not saying that Vektor is not as good as Evile, It just seems wrong to classify it as a complete thrash metal band, like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth....It would be wrong to compare them, but Evile seems to be part of the New Wave and Vektor is on the fence.
Havok is really sick my favorite at the moment. Time is up is a thrash masterpiece
+TheDarkomasia HeXen is (was) one of the best, it's a real shame that they're no longer active.
Matt sounds like a perfect combination of Tom Araya and James Hetfield. Best vocalist in metal right now!
When i heard this song first time in the radio, i honest to god thought it was Metallica song, that i had never heard before. 😆😆😅😅🤘🤘👌👌
dave padden
I thought it was Matt Tuck 😂
I am so stoned I read this title as "Evil- Cunt" and I was so freaked out until the mid song that this is so brutal but then I read it again and realized that "Okay, MY Bad" but thankfully I opened this just because I was confused with the title and now i'm a fan of this band
Probably the best comment i've ever read anywhere :DD
Now I understand why Ol Drake had to make sure we said Cult and not Cunt at bloodstock 2021 😂
EVILE is saving the heavy metal music.
I absolutely love how Evile actually lets the bass track be heard, and very prominently! Unlike many modern bands who just mix out the bass track and only has the bassist like some kind of mascot.
These guys reminds me 80's Metallica.
The vocals remind me of hardwired
No
Rens Langerak nope more Of SLAYER
Correction: 90s
@@Dosemen ever heard of an opinion, peon?
I'm about to blow minds here with a never-before seen comparison, so daring, so new, prepare to be both shocked and aroused. This modern thrash metal band....... Sounds like one of the big four.. "WOW, BLAM, OMG, WOW. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S SAID THAT! I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A COMPARISON MADE BEFORE!"
But they do, either way
They actually remind me of Annihilator more than anything else.
i have been following them from almost at the beginning
and they never seize to amaze me
they get better everytime
and they deserve the respect
Any 2020 appreciation passing by?! Most underrated band i know!
flicking through some older material waiting for the new album to drop
Thank God for bands like Evile , Havok, Warbringer and Lazarus AD for keeping thrash alive ... Exodus , Testament , Overkill , Etc. can't hold it down forever .
Yyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhh
this band is totally underrated!! they are saving thrash metal from extinction! i cant believe theres only 600 thousand+ views it deserves more!!!
Lyrics
They say believing is what we see
Though faith we sell
You want reward beyond where you lay
Look where we tell
Have you been searching for an answer to what you hide?
We'll keep your soul and your emotion
In us confide
Purify your eyes
For you beg to be ever god's size
We can end your cries
All we ask is that you join our cult
We are the friend you can't trust in now
We are your grace
Nobody else will dare question us
This power saves
You haven't seen beyond the real world
We'll take you there
But not before we hear you confess
And say our prayers
Purify your eyes
For you beg to be ever god's size
We can end your cries
All we ask is that you join our cult
We can deliver you
Four winds come into view
Breathe deep of our beliefs
The cult knows you'll never leave
Purify your eyes
For you beg to be ever god's size
We can end your cries
All we ask is that you join our cult
its 2019 and this song STILL rocks !!!
I love the clear and crisp tone of the guitars
I love this riff
"Infected Nations" was a brilliant techno-thrash album. You can't find such gems nowadays. We trust them so let's see what this one is all about...
Yyyyyeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhh
Evile é vida!
E bota vida nisso!
não canso de escutar!!
I love that opening riff so much
Damn this shit is good
They say believing is what we see! Though faith we sell! You want reward beyond where you lay! Look where we tell! Have you been searching for an answer?! To what you hide?! We'll keep your soul and your devotion! In us confide! Purify your eyes! For you beg to be ever god's size! We can end your cries! All we ask is that you join our cult!
heh

As an addendum to my previous post, Evile wins massive respect from me for making a song that has that Big Metal Boom sound to it and they do it in E standard; It was good enough for Metallica and Megadeath, and it's good enough for Evile too.
LOVE THIS
Add to my favs thanx.
So Metallica, Pantera influenced. Love it
slayer influenced them as well.
Metallica, Slayer and Pantera's Daddy Exhorder
New Big Four.
Havok
Evile
Lost Society
Vektor
\m/
I prefer German Thrash :P Sodom and Kreator. That's the stuff.
Mine big four would be
Sodom
Kreator
Venom
Evile
That's all personal preferences mate :P
You hit that shit on the nose homie. All great fucking bands. Out of most the NWOTM bands coming out these 4 are def the best in my opinion. And 2 of them aren't even from the states haha.
Warbringer and Havok have to be in there. Other candidates would be Violator, Municipal Waste, Evile and Lazarus A.D. I think my list would be:
Warbringer
Havok
Violator
Municipal Waste
But I suppose it's just a matter of personal opinion in the end...
mine are Evile ,Havok ,Warbringer ,Savage Messiah
Revocation and Skeletonwitch though. They're top tier as well.
Holy Crap!!! Can't stop banging my head...great riffs
discovered these guys at half four in the morning . . . . best decision to stay up ive ever made
even as a christian, i can't help but like this song. it's just so awesome.
Are they against religion??
the point of the song is to say that christianity is a cult. a lot of metal bands have these sorts of lyrcs, but may of them at least have members who don't actually believe in these anti-religious themes. even if these guys do, the song is still too damn cool to not enjoy.
Still you shouldnt let your beliefs affect your musical taste
Cory Codling I try to do that but i can't stand it. I like slayer musically but i can't stand their anti-religious theme's . I know that i'm a muslim and slayer is mostly anti- christian but it still bugs me.
soulaiman agalf if it helps any tom araya, the lead bassist and vocalist for slayer, is catholic
If anyone knew anything about the band, they would know that their first album was produced by the guy that produced Master of Puppets. They used to be a Metallica cover band.
awesome !!
i love this track
To all the people commenting on how they sound like Metallica, the reason is simple. They started out as a Metallica tribute band. You're welcome.
Clearly.. who cares.. IT SMOKES.. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@MonoChronicle yep they were called metal militia
Excelente banda, excelentes musicos...y aplastan a unas cuantas de las bandas grandes del Thrash.
The end part gives me the chills... Mindblowing greatness !!! HAIL EVILE !
i love this song so much right now!!!!!
Five Serpent's Teeth is definetly Evile's strongest album to date imo,
Feels bit like an alternative universe where Testament's line up's genes were mixed with Anthrax in freakish accident involving radioactive beer and they made Leper Messiah, but unfortunately somehow made even worse videos.
I love the great guitar work and very clear vocal style. Awesome!!!
An incredible mix of irony and awesomeness.
I hereby suggest to every poser here, to stop comparing those guys with Metallica.
I hereby suggest to enjoy the music.
Because the music's good.
Thanks.
+TheClay005 так Metallica давно не играет такого треша!!!
Sorry to tell you this but he does sound incredibly close to James Hetfield
I heard they used to do covers for metalica.
@@kemi9403 you think so? You should say the same to sacred Reich - the American way
still not as much as this one though.
am I only one that thinks he sound was away more like araya than hetfield
+TwixtheWizard I'd say a mix of both of them, other than that he does have his own voice once you get into it
+Ivan Kokan mm not saying he doesn't...just think he sounds more like tom than james
vocal of araya and metallica old instrumental....perfect
To me he sound like Belladonna
Threw 4 of Evile songs on my youtube playlist now. They really have some solid playing. I'm not sure I like all off there albums, but I sure hope they get the recognition they deserve. I mean they really play solid, and it sounds good.
Amazing
Sounds awesome on x2 speed haha
+DreamPurpleFloyd shit, it's true
+DreamPurpleFloyd x1.5 was even better!
I may be wrong, but if this music works well at various speeds, it's quality.
+Reggie Postlethwaite I have always had that thought about thrash metal and that's why its my favorite genre, because it can be played in any speed and it still has a lot of magnific riffs!
+DreamPurpleFloyd 1.25 and it's slayer all over
I can't take it. He sounds so bizarrely like Hetfield that it creeps me out.
Metallica does need to check what amps Evile has been using cause they sound awesome
He does sound almost IDENTICAL to Hetfield! That's an awesome thing, though.
De mis favoritos!! lml
great song, want more!!
New school of trash metal
Luis Juarez Thrash tem H
New wave of thrash metal
They are a mix of metallica and slayer
onii-chan 69 and Pantera
Nice pic, rokkinpo Goroshi
Amazing!
one of the best songs ever
it's like slayer+master of puppets
and that's awesome.
Guilherme Juquênzio reminds me a little of Leper Messiah.
Play it in 1.5
very good song...and album too..
One of the best songs with nice riffs 🔥🎸👻🤘
kinda sounds Hetfield
+Krispynachos 99 It sounds more like Tom Araya.
+Luis Valdés FINALLY SOMEONE WHO THINKS THAT TOO
No yeah
I'm catholic, so in order to listen to this song i like to think that it talks about those religions that charge the believers D:
Catholicism doesn't charge you anything... You can be a catholic ang go to church for your entire life without spending a penny :D
Túlio Alves
Depends on the country, for example Finnish church has a "church tax" which is of course utter bullshit.
I believe that the song is about Scientology or various 'ism movements. Though, they are so huge that they fall under the 'sect' category. Don't worry Catholics, a few (or more than a few) of your priests may act with the same lack of accountability as cult leaders, but you are too huge to be described as a cult. Honestly, I am certain that belonging to a church can be quite spiritually beneficial to a number of you.
Awesome, I share sentiments. Catholic Metalhead from India here.
***** why do you speak non sense? Have you even ever been to a Catholic Mass? If not, please don't come either. The church is for wise people, not for silly superstitious people who believe the World was formed of a random collision between two objects that was created by no one.
GREAT
Talent absolute !!!
Great band. Matt Drake looks kinda like Chuck Schuldiner, but only kinda.
This is what Metallica should be, now adays.
pekka paviaani They could, but they play what Lars can keep up with. Just watch some of the soundcheck videos on their channel and you can tell he annoys the shit out of them and you can even see the disgust on Kirk's face in one of them.
RainingBlood97 Eviles vocalist is singing 5 songs on the new megadeth album, imagine megadeth fronted by James hetfield of the 1986s era. I need to know are the rumours true?
Ed Ok I have no idea, I know Lamb of God's drummer and Angra's guitarist is playing on the album. Also Steve Wariner will be playing steel guitar somewhere in the album, but as far as Matt singing on the album? I have no idea. I'd like to hear that, though. I know Ol wants to focus on his own music and family but imagine if he joined Megadeth if Kiko doesn't work out? That would be awesome in my opinion.
No, he shouldn't quit his band he just need to guest star in 4-5 song of megadeth's new album. Spread the news. DEMAND it, and we shall be SUPPLIED!
Ed Ok Ol actually quit Evile in 2013 to work on family and his own solo stuff. He actually has an album coming out this year I think. The old guitarist for Fallen Fate is his replacement in Evile.
i kept thinking this song was a cover cause it had such low views on every platform, despite me recognising it so well as soon as i heard it
Otima banda, muito foda, sucesso!
Reminds me of Metallica.
Let's take it as sarcastic song against tons of stupid religions - we will save you, you will live, we will give you all you need but once you join you can't leave.
man cant fucking wait for it
Great Song
He sounds a little similar to James Hetfield.
Mattulaak yah i agree now. Now he sounds like tom Araya in this song. although i like this song
yo también estoy de acuerdo estos sujetos me paresieron muy similares a metallica por su forma de cantar y tocar pero ya después puedes notar las diferiencias
I`ve always thought he sounds like a mix of Araya and Hetfield
James of and justice for all and tom of season in the abyss
Mattulaak But his style is not really unique... That's the point
That drummer doesn't fuck around.
Good way to start the day
Damn good, so powerful riffs
Religions are just a plain waste of time. I was a Christian praying to The Lord everyday and going to church, living by the commandments, etc. it is a waste of time because I thought praying would make my life better but it made no difference. Than I had to go to church and shit and that was a waste of time. I always had doubts about Christianity but I became an atheist at around 10 or 11, proving that I was smarter at 10 than most adults and seniors
so you grew a brain and opened your eyes. fuck religion
Are you trying to say that becoming an atheist made your life better ?
3:59 onwards...I really wish it didn't fade out, i want that shit to carry on!!!
Amazing band!!!!
great song
Sounds like a modified version of Lepper Messiah by Metallica. The way this guy sings is strikingly similar to James Hetfield. The lead guitarist is doing a decent job at copying Kirk Hammett's style, but there will never be another Kirk Hammett. I'll hand it to these guys, they've got skill. These guys need to break away from being like Metallica. I know a lot of people have beef with how Metallica is now, and want to relive the Puppetz days, but these guys need to find their own identity. Like I said, these guys have skill so I'm not attacking them. I actually love 'In memorium'. Some doofus dubbed it a Metallica song and gave it the title - 'The Darkness'. Unless you've never heard of Metallica, they could easily confused with them. I hope they don't get all Satanic and shit, unless the name 'Evile' really represents that, that'll be a shame. All these guys need is their breakthrough album that seperates them from the rest and they might be the next best Heavy Metal band out there. Metallica had 'Master of Puppets' and 'Black' and Megadeth had 'Peace Sells' and 'Rust in Peace'. I wonder what these guys will do. Good Luck to them.
they're not tryineg to copy anyone they're a retro-trash metal band, that is why they sound a lot with metallica and slayer.
Mattulaak Thank you for saying it, someone needed to! People give me the furry eyebrow when I tell them I prefer Ride the Lightning.
Mattulaak You forget that a lot of techniques have been refined over the years by learning from what Metallica did. There are faster and heavier bands, but as far as melody and song structure goes, Metallica will always be one of the best heavy metal bands.
Mattulaak I wasn't referring to Kirk, although his solo stuff on AJFA was probably his best. I was referring to what the band as a group produced in the heavy metal genre.
Kyle Batteson I love kirk and his style and there is no doubt in his greatness but Ol Drake is a million times better and the only living guitarist better is Jeff Waters
Metallica 2.0
Hell YEAH!
been a big fan since 2010
glad to see them growing =D
Just found this band¡¡ Awsome¡¡¡
OMFG SO AWESOME !!!:D
this song was playing in my mind when i was taking my exams some while away
Amazing powerful music! I wait for new album!
Really. They have an amazing future.
they sound great. I heard this band yesterday for my first time.
the music is really AWESOME.
greets form Argentina!
seen these guys backing up exodus a few yrs ago.....pretty cool!!!
Every time when i listen this i'll lost myself into this, it's only almost 5 min long but that time seems like 15 min atleast when i listen this one ! It's perfect one, good job, long live to metal & rock ! \,,/ HeadbanG \,,/
Crisix!
I like this alot.
KILLER TRACK!! \m/
This is my new favorite song \m/
dude. this song started playing and i did not know what it was, but the for the whole song i was like, wow this is a awesome song by metallica...
its about time we get some new fucking metal that still has that old school sound!
sounds like metallica and trivium Slammed into each other and combined themselves together as one! .... good band .. glad i stumbled across them :)
Que chimba haberlos visto ayer en Rock al Parque, gracias
Five Serpents Teeth is truly one of my favourite ever albums
head banging!!!
oh my god i discovered evile about 6 months ago on youtube there was this video that said metallica new song in the darkness i searched it and it was evile in memoriam then last month i heard this song on the radio and i got to say this band may be the future of rock it is so good rock can come back to life with this band there really is no good band out their right now except like metallica but you get what i mean
whouaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!! j'adore !!
Argh why does this song have to start fading out 4:25 minutes in, it's one of the most emotional guitar riffs I've had the pleasure of hearing!
