Ive always loved this song, it reminded me of my youth when I used to go out drinking with my mates. My best mate died a few weeks ago and this is the first time I've been able to watch this again, he was only 49 years old, WTF. The solo in this song is awesome, I love the fact I've shaken the hand that plays it. Thanks Oli and Evile.
@@xerayer well, Matt decided to leave due to his health and time he wants to spend with family and kids. They are gonna release new record soon on which Ol has taken the vocals.
I really am tired of people passing this off as Metallica. Give these the guys the credit THEY deserve for this kick ass tribute to a fallen friend. RIP MIKE ALEXANDER!
Dedicated to my grandmother, who died two days ago. I did not attend my job for this week (with a late notification to it) at the risk of getting fired and went to Costa Rica in order to get to her mass and her burial. Good bye, great lady.
This song always brings tears to my eyes. It was running through my head as I watched my father slowly die. 2 years on and it still hurts to listen to this.
They played this in Holmfirth last night, and I couldn't hold it in any longer. I started crying. At the part before the solo, Matt looked me right in the eyes and gave me a nod. Then a woman decided to hug me to console me. I'm not seeking attention or whatever, I'm just astonished at how much the metal community looks out for each other like that. Mike was one of those nice guys within the metal community. R.I.P Mike Alexander, you will never be forgotten.
Ya Broni Yeah, man.Same thing with Exodus,Testament,Overkill....Booty and tits get views not original music that has meaning. The booty gets money not guitar......
This song is simply amazing. Not only is it beautifully written and performed, you can hear the passion and emotion that went in to it, and given the sad circumstances surrounding the context, it adds to the atmosphere. I don't care if it's not distorted and at 30000BPM, this song is a testament to a friend, a musician, a brother. RIP Mike Alexander, may this elegant piece of music represent the pain of your loss.
Excelente trabajo, se nota en las mismas miradas de los músicos el dolor y el sufrimiento por la pérdida de Mike, esta canción llega y sobre todo al mirar esas caras tristes, muy buen trabajo, saludos desde Chile

For me, the last 40 seconds are the most powerful of the this song. Right from where the camera pans upwards, as if watching their fallen brother ascend. You can feel the emotional weight of the song hit you, especially when you can see the drummer and guitarist thinking about the times they had with their bassist. Incredible video. Rest In Peace, Mike Alexander.
They sound more like Metallica than Metallica does nowadays, he he ;) 'Course I'm just making fun with the statement above ;) They're really good, that's too bad that they're not so much known around the world.
WTF I've just noticed I'm not subscribed to Evile, how does that happen? Check your status guys. The reason I noticed was I saw that only 10.8k subscribers are on this band. That can't be right. Click that button people, this band should have at least 1 million.
Zack Serrott Agreed. Enter the grave was a fantastic metal record. I firmly believe that if it had been released in the 80's, we'd be discussing it as a classic of the genre.
HOLY CRAP! A metal bassist that actually used a 4 stringer! Not only 4 strings, but it sound menacing as hell! Wow! Guess that proves all the 8 string bass, Guitar Center, Slipknot trolls are full of it!
To be frank, for all Metallica fans and diehards out there who are honestly not into metal and oblivious to alot of metal that doesn't revolve around or is Metallica, Evile is basically the "New Wave Thrash" band for you. Now keep in mind, just because they sound like Metallica doesn't automatically mean they are the second coming of Metallica. Alot of thrash lovers out there who know the landscape of metal very well will tell you that they aren't so hot of a band, that they can be generic and stale and derivative like alot of the new thrash bands out there and that they don't bring anything new to the table, that they aren't really impressive compared to some other bands, but they will still tell you that Evile at times sounds very original and good, and that they can have their moments. In my opinion, Evile has ALOT of potential to firmly be considered one of the best new bands if they find their own sound and stop worshiping just Metallica (because Evile is better than just being another Metallica clone, no offense) and branch out to their vast amount of various influences to find their own completely original sound, and if they can do that, then they pretty much will be able to pwn all the bitches in their league the same exact way Metallica did in the 80s, and hopefully they'll kill it like the older bands :P
Its crazy to say that this is better than any new METALLICA since the black album. All Nightmare Long blows this out of the studio the outlaw torn bleeding me The end of the line that was just your life the judas kiss fuel the memory remains just a bullet away just to name a few. Don't get me wrong Evile are by far the best new metal band and are the future of metal but they have a long way to go to be better than the metal gods that are METALLICA!
if you will mention some Metallica's songs make sure they are from Kill 'Em All to And Justice For All, not some Load, ReLoad or Death Magnetic stuff! that's not metal at all
ah now its not fair to say its not metal. its not necessarily their original style but what band is able to keep the same style over a fair amount of time? very few anyway.
The future of metal is Mastodon. Evile isn't even a top New Wave Thrash band in many ppl's books because they sound too generic and derivative, even though they have alot of potential to be the best. They worship Metallica, sure, but they need to take into account that there are other great bands to emulate, and they need to emulate them in the right ways instead of just copying their style. I think once they do that, and find their own sound, they'll be great like the other new thrash bands they have to compete with, like Havok, Vektor and Hexen.
Evile are on of my favourite bands! these guys deserve to be up there with Amon Amarth and Trivium! love you guys keep it up!! evile are fuckin amazing! \m/

Lyrics:
When the darkness takes from me
Cruel hands are scorned
How our light dims carelessly
Bringing bare minds torn
Come with me
When the darkness comes
We all must leave
When the darkness comes
Sifting through my memories
Lifting spirits once more
Ones we lose forever breathe
Through the past reborn
Come with me
When the darkness comes
We all must leave
When the darkness comes
Wasted seasons surround us
Take not for granted your time
Such a thing waits for no man
Stone gardens stand before us
Lifelong the memoirs always rhyme
Try to live before one dies
Come with me
When the darkness comes
We all must leave
When the darkness comes
Its perfect. Mike must be really proud of you all, wherever he may be.
