    Thanks a million for posting this. I ordered a traverse rod, and it came with no directions related to adjustment of the cord. After watching your video, I had it all set up in a few minutes.

    This video is super helpful. We just moved into a condo where the previous owners left traverse rods on all the windows. This video helps us to know they are in good shape and we can keep using them if we want. Thank you!

    Absolutely the best video on drapery rods, adjustment, hanging, measuring, etc. I am a self-taught drapery "master" and learned by doing, with some mistakes. As a property manager, I have volunteered to re-string and replace multiple rods through the years. As well as changing the draw or converting from center draw to one-way and even doing a center draw with wands on the side to accommodate windows that open from side to side or both to the center. Thank you for your video. You are the expert!

    Thank you. I had an issue with the left side not opening and closing consistently correctly. Your tip helped. The hook you described was slightly different but I got the idea. These rods and pinch pleated drapes are hard to find. Thanks for posting.

      Hi John, It is a Dewalt with only vertical and horizontal modes. I purchased the tripod from eBay several years ago and don't remember the brand but the only one I could find that will telescope up to 10 feet using two extensions.

    Thanks for making this video, it is very thorough. But I'm stuck - how do I mount the traverse rod to the wall brackets? I can't seem to figure out how to get the rod properly onto the bracket so that the end of the traverse rod don't come loose when pulling the cord to open and close. You didn't include that part in your video.

    • @Factorydirectdesignersworkroom
      @Factorydirectdesignersworkroom  Рік тому

      So sorry I did not include that part! The wall brackets on each end have a U shaped silver piece that holds the rod in place. You will need to place the rod on top of the bracket and push down to lock in on both ends.

    Hi Scott, I really appreciate your videos. Referring to the center support, between 3:27 - 4:20, you mention a common mistake. On my right side one-way draw, pinch pleats, insulated door wall drapes, the right bracket (not the end wrap cap) is being pulled downward. I can't figure out why or what is needed to reinforce/support it. Could the center support have anything to do with the pulling or are the drapes too heavy? Also, could another center support be used along with the end bracket?

    Hello Scott,
    Why couldn't you have left the extra carriers on even if they weren't being used. Also do you offer classes for professional installers that want to learn how install draperies.

    I have a number of your videos saved because they're so helpful! In this video i understand the 55" rod width to accommodate the 7" stack on either side, but then I become confused when you explain the two 25" panels and subtract 12" to accommodate the overlap and end coverage giving a 38" rod figure. Am I confusing the two?

    How did you calculate for height of brackets?

    • @Factorydirectdesignersworkroom
      @Factorydirectdesignersworkroom  2 роки тому

      Hi Glenn! If your draperies do not go to the floor 3” to 4” above the window molding would be a good suggestion. If your drapes are full length than the rod should be 1/2” longer than the draperies. For example if the drapery panels measure 84” long measure up from the floor 84-1/2” and install the rod. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    What do you do with store bought pleated drapes that are fan folded and the space between pleats is steamed so they fold to the inside. But when you hang and pull the drapes closed the centers of each pleat bunches like it should have been steamed to go out when hung.

    Your video is very good except it omits the brackets themselves, how they attach to the traverse rod and what they look like when properly installation. I need a close up look at the brackets and how they look like. The video also omits installing a side draw rod. I put one up yesterday and the 2 ends look totally different, are they suppose to? if not please show a properly installed side drawer traverse rod. I have to completely redo what I did yesterday. I have no idea whether the side draw rod I installed yesterday is correct. Your video is good but incomplete. Thank you for your time.
