The miles of hard-packed sand served as a playground for the elite, attracting rich men with their fancy new toy - the automobile.
Land-speed records were set on these beaches and stock car racing was born here.
Travelers from all over the world come to the Daytona area every year, and visiting one of the many beaches is always a priority.
But like most beach towns, there are other things to see and do here.

i climbed that lighthouse! i definitely recommend bringing comfy shoes and bringing some water. i had to stop once or twice.. it gets hot in there!
Thanks Chad and Abby. If it wasn't for your vlogs, I might not ever some of these great places to visit in Florida. Be safe.
Thx Nancy!
I lived there for 5 years and had not heard of Zeno;s or the cottage of snow white. a bit of advice....1) make sure you wash everything off before you leave the beach, sand fleas are nasty and like to burrow under the skin. 2) don't set up too close to the edge of the water, when the tide comes in your beach chairs may be floating out. 3) Make sure you get sunscreen under your chin, behind your ears and under your arms, the white sand reflects the light and you can get a sunburn in the most unexpected places. 4) never leave your property unattended if you go into the water, there are thieves where you least expect them. 5) don't go during Spring Break, Bike Week or the Daytona 500, the traffic is stupid and the waits in the restaurants is long. 6) lastly, don't go in august or sept, the humidity is awful.
I always loved going to the Daytona races when i was a kid. My grandmother didn't live to far from DIS when i would go visit her.
Your videos are AWESOME!! Enjoyed this one very much!! Thanks for sharing💛
Thanks Mermaid!
I just want to go to Daytona Beach to say that I finally fulfilled my teenage dream of going to Daytona Beach. I wanted to go there in 12th grade during Spring Break.
Best Chad Gallivanter video yet! Great work!
Thanks man! You’ve been cranking out the videos too lately. Keep it going!
One of your best this far, Chad. Thanks. And yeah, you and Abby be safe.
Thx Luther!
Very professional work! Deserve more views ❤️
Thank you Chad
Nice job!
Thanks!
Nice work! I always love your videos. I'm local to the Palm Coast area. Thanks for putting out some great content.
Thanks Jason! Appreciate those kind words!
Another great episode Chad. Pretty soon you’ll be able to add one of the largest Buc-ee’s to your list.
LOL! We’ve talked about that, but it seems like it’s been done so much by other channels at other locations. Not sure I really get the fan devotion. We will probably end up there. But my wife says not for a while because that exit at LPGA is already a cluster.
How about a ball game at Jackie Robinson Field? Or a walk on The Black Heritage Trail? Or a visit to Lillian Place?
Great tips!
Love your channel Chad. You are the best.
Very cool, DAB resident here!
Ed Walden's Bar on the south end of Beach Street. Always stop there Bike Week for a beer; friendly neighborhood place (beers half the price as rest of town, tip them well please!) that I think was an old gas station...
You do a great job. I really wish someday we can get together and maybe you can show me around. Take care little brother.
Good tip!
@@martygoodman559 Any time!
as a new residence to Daytona, thank you!!
Thx for watching!
Great vlog of Daytona
Where did you get your drone footage?
Thanks Chad and Abby. Wish I were visiting those places. A woman can dream!!
Thx Sally!
Two other things I love in Daytona: 1) Daytona Zipline.. Climbing ladders, walking across wooden bridges, tight rope cables and zip lines. 2) Daytona Lagoon.. Very affordable water park, with arcade, obstacle course, bumper cars, and mini golf nearby. The Daytona Lagoon isn't the most impressive water park out there, but good value for your money.
Don’t forget Tomoka State Park!
How about mention St Augustine. That is country's home of the 1st schoolhouse in America. You can still see history standing still as it was so many years ago as they began education in America in that tiny little class room with one or two desks and a chalkboard. It's amazing!
A Skywheel like what they have in Orlando,Panama City,Myrtle Beach and Atlantic City would be nice!
Don't forget we have buc ees THE LARGEST GAS STATION IN THE WORLD
Have you ever gone to Cow Licks Icecream on the strip
Many times years ago when I lived beachside. It’s probably been a good 8 years or so since our last visit.
@@ChadGallivanter cow licks best icecream.
i lived there from '92-'02. my 10 things to do besides visiting the beach were as follows. drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed. true story!
Is it fun there? I live in Minnesota currently and am 22 years old but just got a job offer down there.
