Talk about a common sense video, this is definitely it. Nothing fancy, no over- explanations, just a simple step by step video. This video saved me hours of confusion. Thank You and consider me a subscriber.
If your switch has 3 prongs, the middle goes to the battery, the big one is a ground, and the last one goes to the light. Also just go to harbor freight and get an electrical connector kit, way easier than bringing a solder out to an atv
Big ups to you for making this simplistic video 🤌🏻 about to wire everything up to my Coleman and this was by far one of the best videos that I’ve scoured UA-cam for just to explain it in a way that made me feel comfortable
Yeah I may need this. I want to put a LED light in my CRF250X but that takes a shit load of money to get an AC to DC stator. Along with the rewiring so I can keep the electric start.
if you have a battery on the 4 wheeler already then use that instead. if your 4 wheeler has no battery then you can use one like i am using and recharge when needed.
I have a question? I have bought the same wires, same wire with fuse, same switch. I tested the switch the way you showing in the video the switch and light works, but when I tested it in my dirt bike the switch wires got really hot and almost smoked the wires do I have to install a relay? And how do I installed it, any help would be appreciated 👍
So if wanted to hook up 2 or 3 lights would I need a separate switch an a separate fuse connector for each light or can I all the lights be connected to 1 switch an 1 fuse connector
🔥🔥🔥Please dont follow this guy he knows nothing about automotive electrics ,voltage drop amps, heat dissipation, switches etc oh and did I mention needing to add a RELAY. Its designed firstly to save the component that it powers and secondly for safety so your car or bike or RV or boat doesn't catch fire! It doesn't matter whether its Leds or Halogen they need a RELAY ALWAYS🔥🔥🔥
10 amp fuse not 15

thanks!
I know thats why I love it
This guy single handedly saved my school project
THANKYOU. It's so hard to get simple step by step, steps!

an on off switch can be wired either way all it is doing is breaking the circuit and the solder im using requires no gun.
Thank you literally just got my sxs Friday and it has some electrical issues
Can you wire aluminium and cobber wires together?? Isnt that like dangerous og bad?
No fuss helped alot ..
Thanks
Do I need the fuse set-up if I'm connecting the light to the controller of a ebike?
If I am putting on 3 lights do I need to have three fuses or can I connect everything to one wire
you should only need 1 fuse
you need friggin RELAY
Can the one fuse power two lights or will I have to wire in another fuse holder?
Great video grandson
I likes this video. Simple and best

can i wire without fuseholder?
good simple how to

If all you want is a headlight you could get a small rechargeable lithium battery and run it off that. that's what i use for my xr80
Hi .. very useful .. quick question is it necessary the fuse if i am hooking up the switch button with E scooter for light ?
you can use no fuse but if the wires get to hot there wont be a fuse to cut the power off so the wire could catch fire.
Is the battery you are connecting to the battery operating the 4 Wheeler , or does it used just for the lights and just recharge as needed ?
if you have a battery on the 4 wheeler already then use that instead. if your 4 wheeler has no battery then you can use one like i am using and recharge when needed.
This video has 34K views. LOL.
if i was to use a 24v batter and light would i use a 20 amp fuse?
What size AWG for the fuse to get
so without the fusable link the wires would burn?
No, But just in case do it, Lets say the light gets to much voltage then it will busy the wire.

yes you will need a relay your light is drawing too many amps! or you could try getting thicker wire.
also your fuse is now blowing? could also make sure all your connection are good
the fuse might need to be a 10 amp that could be why it's not blowing the fuse
@@Ripsky thanks!
@@Ripsky thanks!
What if I use a lithium 12v battery is it the same ❤ also what if u want to wire signal
How do you wire it so it doesn't drain the battery when off
it shouldn't drain your battery as long as the switch is off
I want to use a on off switch to change colour of the led like I want to get one colour at ON and the other colour at OFF...! Help me
So if wanted to hook up 2 or 3 lights would I need a separate switch an a separate fuse connector for each light or can I all the lights be connected to 1 switch an 1 fuse connector
Yes
Could you make a video on how to wire two lights to the same switch?
Thanks
How long will the battery last if there’s nothing to keep it charged
The alternator or stator charges the battery
is this switch waterproof?

If I use a 18v headlight would that be a problem using a 12v battery?
No it just won't be as bright. It would be a problem running a 12v headlight from an 18v battery with no fuse or resistor.
Can I use a 6v?
