      Please don't generalise and say that all the Indians are like this.. Because it's certainly not true.
      Those touts are definitely a big problem and issue in some parts of our country, because somewhere the administration over there itself doesn't mind much about these activities. I've seen many times that even some cops of that area take the share of the money that these touts earn....
      But this is certainly not the case in the entire country!
      Those touts harass us Indians too, and when they see a foreigner they harass even more, simply to earn more...

    I've visited India three times. Met some of the most gracious and hospitable people you could ever wish for. HOWEVER ! The beggars and and passive aggressive touts ruined every visit.
    I once had a guy shadow me for five hours in Madras !, constantly inserting himself into any conversation I tried to have with others. In all honesty ? After two hours I just wanted to knock him out.
    India, fantastic country, some beautiful people, but as "Westerner" you are often viewed as a walking cash machine. Visiting India is not a holiday, It's a challenge. After three visits I've had enough. I'll never go back again.

    Hi Chris, even if you are not a TV person, but it’s better let him open the TV to check if it’s functional properly or not. Some hotels, when you check out, they go up and check the TV, then inform it’s broken, claim it on the customer usage, and ask customers to pay for the fixing. Even some customers don’t open TV at all for the whole stay there.
    Better be safe than sorry, just my own opinion 😅

    • @linkbombchu168
      @linkbombchu168 Рік тому +1

      I get it and therefore it's smart, however he has video material of it being broken at check in. but that's the responsibility of the employee who is showing the guest his room. He noticed the TV was broken. So he should make it note of it and fill in into the system. And give the guest the privacy when he says I don't need it to be fixed.

      @@Sourav_Indian I am 1/2 Indian and I know many amazing Indian people in my country, but you shouldn't take it so personally when people are bothered by strangers harassing them none stop and treating them like fools. I believe anyone on earth would be annoyed by that, and you can see how it would taint an experience of a place regardless of whether it was Indian or somewhere else. Its a lack of respect, I would not go to another country and disrespect it, but I expect a little respect and dignity back. Being treated like a fool who cannot see bullshit, and its constant. I can see that the guys in the hotel room are making a meal of trying to get the TV working so that they will get a fat tip, its blatant. Why would I want to give someone money who is blatantly trying to extort it from me, instead of just doing a good job, being friendly and open human to human. For me its just a respect thing, you arent respecting my intelligence or my integrity purely because of the colour of my skin or because of how much money I may have. I think if we all just saw each other as people I wouldnt be spoken to like a fool, and then discredited because I didnt want to give money to someone who treats me like that. India is a wonderful, rich with culture and human history, numbers were born there, Buddhism was born there (my religion), and every Indian that I have met here i have given respect and they have given me respect, and they have all been wonderful people. Nothing against any Indian anywhere, but that shit is annoying.

      Just my observation only as a non Indian or Pakistani who’s been watching a lot of vlogs on both countries. Both are very friendly people by nature but I do feel that the Pakistanis tend to exhibit more heartfelt welcoming and treated the foreigners more like their guests most of the time instead of like their customers. Of course this can be explained by the sheer amount of exposure to tourists experienced by India each year so they tend to operate more of a business oriented society. Again this is my opinion only but both are great places to visit nonetheless so a comparison probably doesn’t do any justice to either countries.
