Sad, painful, crippling hooves. The proper preventive care is as important as the food, water and air for the animals. St Francis and the angels in heaven are very pleased with the Master.
The animals live on soft ground but they evolved to live on hard ground which grinds the surface of the hoof away as it grows, people used to rescue donkeys from the bogs of Ireland were they suffered similar problems.

Если видят абсцесс, полностью вычищают эту часть копыта, обрабатывают лекарствами, разгружают плраженную зону. Трегины по максимуму вычищают, чтобы она не продолжала расти. Учат лошадь спокойно относиться к этой пооцедуре, делают удобные подставки для копыт. Китайцы: стамеска, серп, огромные садовые кусачки, срезал до приличного вида и нормально, на грязь пофиг, трещина? Да напихаем в нее волосы и замажем, будет норм. Плетьми пофигачим за пугливость еще, а копыто можно и привязать, и так норм. Порой этот народ меня ужасает

Generally these donkeys are treated dreadfully- no grooming, infected feet, brutal methods of foot care, beaten, ignored, worked hard. This gentleman seems better than most- he focuses on the pain the donkey is feeling. We now know donkeys are highly intelligent, social and sensitive besides being faithful guardians of livestock. Although he is quite a skilled “ master”, we are looking at brutal methods of animal care. I will not be subscribing

I may be over-simplifying things but I wonder if anyone has tried soothing the donkeys by talking gently and petting them. I know they're just livestock but if they're anything like horses maybe this could help when they're agitated or scared?
I 100% agree. I understand it’s dangerous and risk for both the master and the donkey if they move but you’re not helping the situation by hitting the animal or hurting it. It’s natural instinct, if something or someone hurts you naturally you’re scared and panicking /cautious. Show kindness and it will help wonders with having a calm and obedient animal.

Agree, Those animals were left unchecked for to long, those should of been trimmed well before they got to that length. What did they do, put hair in the hoof crack then cover it with grease. That inner / outer hoof is separated, it won't just connect back together, it may grow out and develop new growth that is connected. But its just like your finger nail. Cut into it from the side. does it reconnect where you cut, or does it continue to grow out with the damage section remaining.

工具還得進一步改善啊你們。老師傅就一把鏟子，連個像樣的支架固定和板凳護腿手套都沒有，這種修蹄力氣活老師傅鏟得辛苦，手容易受傷，驢子也跟著遭罪。

@@user-nv5hc2rp5q 不要說驢了，其實現今的馬也都不需要打鐵蹄了。打鐵蹄主要是為了減少馬兒因為長期奔跑造成馬蹄磨耗太大。現今馬早已經不是交通工具了，更不要說驢了，就算平常須要靠驢來幫忙農活或拉貨，但是你也沒看那些農耕牛在打牛蹄阿。

沒再當交通工具但還是有娛樂阿，馬場裡幾乎所有的馬都會上蹄鐵(因為每天都會騎)，更不要說走在柏油路上的觀光馬絕對要上蹄鐵(跟你赤腳走在砂紙上一樣)。
蹄鐵除了防止過度磨損也能降低感染機率，能防止踩到小尖刺之類的造成感染，馬的蹄和眼睛是兩個最容易被感染的地方。
影片裡他們沒有熔爐也沒有打鐵的技術和工具，他們甚至連現代的修蹄工具都沒有，自然不可能會有打鐵一事，他們其他的影片修馬蹄時甚至不會去精修，就只是大概的剪短而已。
而牛羊不打蹄是因為他們的蹄跟馬蹄結構完全不同啊@@，這點你眼睛直接看就看出來了吧。
驢的結構與馬也略微不同，馬蹄只有外圈會生長，而驢則是實心生長，不怕磨損。
還有上了蹄鐵一樣會變長，一樣都需要修蹄，馬蹄是從裡面長的不是外面。
