Anyway, this is 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural dramatic contralto (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Arsenyev, 160 km northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It makes it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia. Diana has a much larger 'range' than most singers. 'Human' is actually her favourite song to sing because it falls totally within her natural range and is therefore effortless to sing.

I think I heard Human after I saw Wicked Game and Rechenka - and that is usually the order reactors take. I think that is wise because Human can be a bit severe. After you have watched a few more of her videos you will see she is insanely talented in her vocals (and a great performer). I've come to believe she has no equal in the world today. She is unique.

That's what all the fuss is about. It's a REAL voice. )) As many of the reacting voice teachers say,. Diana naturally lowers her larynx in such a way, that low notes start sounding both on the main pitch and on sub-harmonics, an octave below. So that's polyphonic. ))

Hi! Good reaction. Usually, for the first reaction, it is advised to start with an Wicked Game, this is a win-win option for meeting Diana. Human a wonderful cover, but it's like throwing the listener into a Ice hole, for some it's a shock but you did it. Almost all of Diana's covers are individual and sometimes very different from the original. Diana is incredibly unique and has stated this is the easiest song for her to sing because it's closest to her natural singing voice. Diana doesn't copy any sound or anyone...she has the confidence to just do her thing. Her vocal color is one of a kind. She has a voice classification of a contralto (like Cher), the lowest female voice type.

Thank you for your time and comments for Diana. As per her voice coach, Diana has a range D3-D6, also states her voice type is Dramatic Contralto, lowest and rarest of all female voices. Diana has polyphonic harmonics or overtones, producing more than one volcal pitch at the same time. She is also blessed with what is referred to as a spectacular lyrenx, I can't speak to anatomy but the other two there is no doubt. This might not have been the best song for you to be introduced to Diana. Highly recommend you seek out other performances, Derniere Danse by Indila sung in French, Wicked Game by Chris Isaac sung in English, Rechenka meaning river sung in Russian also Blizzard sung in Russian. I came across a reaction video almost six months ago now and have watched and listened to many more on Diana. She is a rare contralto (like Cher) but to add to it she can Yodel which if you watch her perform “ Yodel Time” on the Russian version of Kids “Voice” you will see how she integrates her yodeling technique in a lot of her songs that she can easily change to notes that most artist can’t do. There is not one song she has sang that I don’t like, in fact there are some even after 6 months that still gives me the chills. She had a very tragic childhood and if you research you will have a better appreciation of Diana. She is a blessing to the world that could have very easily been taken away. Thanks for reacting🙏🏼

Yep, a predominately low register song like Human is not the best first intro to Diana. Wicked Game or Rechenka are better first looks because you see her mastery of high and low octaves.

It's not so much her voice, but her range. She's a contralto which is the lowest female voice range. It's lower than a second alto if that makes it clearer. Another example of a contralto would be Wé McDonald from the Voice USA 2016 She blew away the judges when she sang I'm Feeling Good at her Blind audition and got a four-chair turn from them. When she spoke afterwards, the judges were even more perplexed because her speaking voice was higher than her singing voice.

I am grateful to her early teachers and to her as well for not trying to sound like something she isn't the way they used to make left-handed people try to be right-handed About 20 years ago the CD came out called la Mystere des Voix Bulgares. Actually, in an interview Diana said that Human is in the sweet spot for her vocal range, its the easiest for her. Diana is a contralto, the rarest range for female vocals, Cher is another contralto though diana is deeper. She has a very sad story but its having a happy ending. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history. It's a safe prediction that you'll have goosebumps and say that's the most unique voice you've ever heard.
There are different versions of many of her performances so when you are asked to react to a song, don't do it unless a link is provided or you will get comments saying you reacted to the "wrong" version. Pretty much any version is going to be really good but, as with any other performer, she has "really good" and "mind-blowing" so, as far as you are concerned, if you pick anything that appeals to you, you're good and the commenters are "wrong". I applaud that you actually give your 'in the moment'-reaction. And not some watered down version, tweaked to recieve minimal hate. People are bold behind their screens, so I know it can't be easy! I've never understood why people would want carbon copied reactors. Sure, it can absolutely sting a bit, when someone doesn't see/hear what you do. And sometimes you can bristle at a remark that feels flippant or unfair. But as long as there are no truly derogatory statements, I don't get why people can't just go find a reactor that is more to their liking. Personally, I'd much rather watch an opposing opinion, than a dishonest one!

Greetings from Scotland! NO - this is her real and natural voice. It's Diana's favourite song to perform because it's very comfortable for her to sing. Anyway, this is 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural dramatic contralto (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Arsenyev, 160 km northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It makes it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia. I think I heard Human after I saw Wicked Game and Rechenka - and that is usually the order reactors take. I think that is wise because Human can be a bit severe. After you have watched a few more of her videos you will see she is insanely talented in her vocals (and a great performer). I've come to believe she has no equal in the world today. She is unique.

Human a wonderful cover, but it's like throwing the listener into a Ice hole, for some it's a shock but you did it. Diana doesn't copy any sound or anyone...she has the confidence to just do her thing. Her vocal color is one of a kind. Thank you for your time and comments for Diana. As per her voice coach, Diana has a range D3-D6, also states her voice type is Dramatic Contralto, lowest and rarest of all female voices. Diana has polyphonic harmonics or overtones, producing more than one volcal pitch at the same time. She is also blessed with what is referred to as a spectacular lyrenx, I can't speak to anatomy but the other two there is no doubt. This might not have been the best song for you to be introduced to Diana. Highly recommend you seek out other performances, Derniere Danse by Indila sung in French, Wicked Game by Chris Isaac sung in English, Rechenka meaning river sung in Russian also Blizzard sung in Russian. I hope to see another reaction for Diana, she is a world class talent and artist.

I came across a reaction video almost six months ago now and have watched and listened to many more on Diana. She is a rare contralto (like Cher) but to add to it she can Yodel which if you watch her perform “ Yodel Time” on the Russian version of Kids “Voice” you will see how she integrates her yodeling technique in a lot of her songs that she can easily change to notes that most artist can’t do. There is not one song she has sang that I don’t like, in fact there are some even after 6 months that still gives me the chills.
She had a very tragic childhood and if you research you will have a better appreciation of Diana. She is a blessing to the world that could have very easily been taken away. Thanks for reacting🙏🏼

Of what I consider Diana's 'Big 4' songs which were all performed during this Russian TV competition, I feel that "Human" is the most 'severe' vocally with her staying in her low range with all its huskiness the whole time until the final note. I enjoy your commentary and the personal experiences you share with us. I look forward to watching your reactions to her songs "Rechenka," "Wicked Game" and "Derniere Danse" where you will hear more of her 'normal' and higher registers. By the way, I have heard vocal coaches explain that while her low vocals seem SO low because of her singing techniques/the manipulation of her larynx and natural laryngeal anatomy, they are technically an octave higher than perceived.

Diana's mother became her daughter's manager. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
So, 2012 Irina’s family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. 2018 (3rd season) Diana sang 'Derniere danse' (French), 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' (Engl.), 'The River' (Russ.), 'Tomorrow Is A Lie' (Engl.) and 2019 (super season) Diana won the Grand Prix with 'Blizzard' (Russ.), 'Wicked Game' (Engl.) and 'Human' (Engl.).
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to UA-cam and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start studying and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment in Moscow. So, she could start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. Those of us who speak English are prone to mispronouncing Russian names. It's just the way it is as Russian is a completely different language! To the best of my knowledge, her name should be pronounced as dee-AH-na ahn-koo-DEE-no-vah. (rather than die-anna ann-koody-NOVA which is what almost everyone guesses) 🙂

It's not so much her voice, but her range. She's a contralto which is the lowest female voice range. It's lower than a second alto if that makes it clearer. Another example of a contralto would be Wé McDonald from the Voice USA 2016 She blew away the judges when she sang I'm Feeling Good at her Blind audition and got a four-chair turn from them. When she spoke afterwards, the judges were even more perplexed because her speaking voice was higher than her singing voice.
She is a natural contralto it's very rare. I am grateful to her early teachers and to her as well for not trying to sound like something she isn't the way they used to make left-handed people try to be right-handed
About 20 years ago the CD came out called la Mystere des Voix Bulgares.
It was a group of women who did acapella singing and it sounded very much like this you got a sense of wilderness of women who communicate in the open air with nature. Perhaps this gift is more prevalent in that part of the world

Actually, in an interview Diana said that Human is in the sweet spot for her vocal range, its the easiest for her. Diana is a contralto, the rarest range for female vocals, Cher is another contralto though diana is deeper. She has a very sad story but its having a happy ending. You should check out her singing wicked game or rechenka. Another artist you should check out is Aurora, best to start with runaway 2015 Nobel concert.

Тут, конечно, нужно сказать огромное спасибо конкурсу "Ты - супер" на канале НТВ за то, как сделана аранжировка песни, декорации, постановка и режиссура песенного номера. Всё это и исполнительский талант Дианы вместе дали этот потрясающий номер.
Но, если кто-то увидел Диану именно с этой песней, то тот обязательно должен послушать и посмотреть другие её песни, так как там она совершенно другая и впечатление о ней там сильно отличается. Неизменно только её уникальное пение.

I applaud that you actually give your 'in the moment'-reaction. And not some watered down version, tweaked to recieve minimal hate. People are bold behind their screens, so I know it can't be easy!
I've never understood why people would want carbon copied reactors. Sure, it can absolutely sting a bit, when someone doesn't see/hear what you do. And sometimes you can bristle at a remark that feels flippant or unfair. But as long as there are no truly derogatory statements, I don't get why people can't just go find a reactor that is more to their liking.
