Just completed mine. Quite pleased overall. Points to watch-visor covers on cupola are included but omitted from instructions as are individual driver visor covers- you’ll need to drill out the fixed driver covers to fit these. I used a Dremel to remove mould marks on track inners after constructing but before fitting - takes about 10 mins to do. Take care with the suspension springs as there are 2 which are slightly longer and are only differentiated on the instructions in Chinese script ( iand ii) I’ve cut around cupola hatch cover internally and slightly opened. I also scratch built a rear light box using the supplied on off switch cover as the housing. I’ve bought some cheap in line leds from Ebay to install as I did with the Hobby boss Tiger- controller fits comfortably in the hull underside battery compartment.
I don't have the instructions anymore, sorry but the Scalemates website is a good source for info and copies of parts layouts - it's possible that HobbyBoss itself has a downloadable spec sheet?
This model is the Heng Long tank without the radio control equipment same as the Tiger tank hence the battery box in the lower hull.Trumpeter have released this and the T34/76 with full interior detail.
Massive chunk of styrene.... in deed ! good luck with it The older Dragon had full interior... maybe that explains the price ? Good Review ! HUGE project .... looking forward to your WiP ! later mate!
The battery box gave it away -- it was meant to be mobile. How can it move using the shoddy tracks, I do not know. This reminds me of 1/25 Tamiya one I built almost 40 years back. That one had workable tracks and suspensions and moved quite well -- never threw its tracks.
TO ALL OF YOU! 1/16TH SCALE LOVERS! LIKE ME! JUST A FRIENDLY TIP THE TRUMPETER VERSION OF THE T-34 IS A MUCH MORE FANTASTIC KIT INTERIOR, AND ALL THE PRICE VERIES BUT MUCH MORE CHEAPER THEN WHEN IT FIRST SOLD!
I have to say it does look somewhat toy-like. The parts not on sprues, the simplicity of the kit, hatches moulded on, a lot of construction done with screws and nuts etc. Just compare it to the Trumpeter 1/16 scale T-34/85 for example. Having said that it looks ok, a reasonably priced base to build on, provided you don't want any interior on display. My only misgiving is the amount of filling and hiding of the compartments on the lower hull etc to accommodate RC. Should be a fairly fast build, there isn't a great deal to a T-34 so you can get away with a simplified kit.
mrbeast85 Those compartments are a boon for me, but then again I'm probably going to RC it if/when I build it. Currently pondering whether to pull the trigger on it myself, it's currently 70 bucks or so at Tower Hobbies.
I pulled the trigger on that sale. Unfortunately they wanted $48 GBP to ship :(:(:( which put it out of reach for us canucks :( Lee, Do a search there is shit load of AM stuff for this kit.
Lee, Let me see if I could come up with my links again. I dumped them when I cancelled my order. TZ was one though. Anything in particular you are looking for?

Patryk Rachwał hatch dont open. It a kit reissue of a RC version. Bloody awfull kit. Woudnt not waste my breath on it. Trumoeter make a nice kit with interior, open hatches a must.
The NUCLEARWARHEAD but the trumpetwr kit. The Hobby boss has built in closed hatches. Look at tbe turret its closed. Its an awfull reissue of a RC version sold as kit form. Why it needs screws. Buy Trumpeter better. Full interior

Useful. What's the parts number of the visor covers for the cupola?

seems like I wouldn't have to use my "coke bottle" glasses to see the parts....that's big. can't wait to see the build.

This tank is the ex Heng long radio controlled tank hence the battery box and the turret toothed ring
The innerboxes look identical to my Trumpeter Su-100 ones. Repackaging perhaps?

Russian casting was terrible so joint lines are not a problem
