you're practically tipping the scales of justice.... not only the victim is uncompensated but it also does not dis-incentivize people from committing crime..... that way you're practically increasing crime and even budding criminals

I have never understood how locking up punishment helps provide "justice". This imperialistic premise itself was wrong to begin with.
