when my boy kitty who i had for 11 years died, i was sitting in the lounge and crying and my girl kitty who i had recently adopted came and sat in front of me and i told her that my boy is gone... She is not a vocal kitty but she stood up on her hind legs, tapped me softly on the cheek with her paw and said a meow..

I never realized how intuitive and amazing cats are until UA-cam. Thanks internet! lol. I’m ashamed to admit that I used to HATE cats. All my siblings own cats and so I’ve been able to enjoy them whenever I pay a visit. Now I can’t get enough of them.

The clip of the terribly obese gray cat broke my heart. I thought I was showing love to my beautiful Callie girl by giving her as much of the foods she loved as she wanted. Instead I fed her straight into diabetes. It took weeks of experimentation with the veterinarian to find the correct dosage of insulin. And the adjustment to giving Callie two shots a day, not to mention having to cut out all her favorite foods and adhering to a strict diet. Even with all that occasionally her sugar would crash which was terrifying. I kept a bottle of Karo syrup on the shelf just in case that happened.
If you love your non human friends please please do not over feed them. It's very hard to forgive yourself if you do this to them. I know.

My cat and I totally understand and communicate with each other . She lets me know her needs and she seems to know my mental issues and reacts accordingly. Had lots of dogs, but cats are on another level.

Get an elderly cat. They sleep more. Ours is now 16 and has changed forever homes three times due to unforeseen circumstances in owner lives. She settled well each move, has a funny side, has a delightful loving nature. She tends to sleep between 10am-4pm when we are at work and she sleeps at night. She shows she adores us in so many ways and we in turn think her wonderful.

I have a wonderful little dog that I absolutely adore, but I really miss my cat. We got her as a kitten,enjoyed her company for 18 years! Not only did she provide unconditional love, but she would attack a grizzly bear if she thought it was going to hurt us.
My cat tried to take on a snow plow. It woke her up from a nap. Then she jumped up on the window sill and started hissing and spitting at it. I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life. She was three months old and could not have weighed more than three pounds.

We rescued a kitten who we TRIED to keep indoors. She and husband yelled at each other, husband being ignorant of kitties, made an enemy. Now after years at each others’ throats has developed into a love affair. Kitty is so attentive to husband’s painful ailing, it is wonderful to see her pay attention to him in his pain.
I had a cat that would go on walks with her dogs. When it was just her and I walking she would ride on my shoulder.

true. when we lost our beautiful dear kind Mother, our cats and dogs would comfort me when i was crying. it was obvious they all knew how heart broken we all were. as my Mum always said...a lot of pets make better friends than a lot of people. they wont steal from you or betray you or let you down ever. sure you shout at them sometimes but they still are the best friends you can have! ❤❤

Yes, its more of a shock to me of how Cats are so human like if you spend the time NEEDED with your cats daily. Yes, I am amazed on how smart and how easily they relate to your attention as I never thought I could train my Cat and her 3 8 monthh old teen cats of going inside once the sun sets. I am still amazed of being so impressed of my own efforts to spend the time around them daily for them to pick up my habits and communication skills with them.They know words just as much as dogs do.
