Great video , thanks for your hard work I’m thinking of going for Buchardt bookshelf speakers but they are 4ohm about 87 db sensitivity do you think these amps will have enough power to drive I definitely want the hdmi arc connection so that basically just leaves the marantaz but worried it’s not enough power to properly run these speakers

Most people are not aware that MQA has two distinct decoding modes, particularly when playing MQA cds, Bluesound have only opted for the minimum decoder spec, which unfolding does only the first stage, which is 88.2 KHz 24 bit. If using an external decoder (via spdif or optical) then the MQA flag triggers the external DACs to activate the decoder at the full level, 352.8 khz, 24 bit. The difference is audibly obvious, so I use an external dac(via spdif) . Downside? The initial switch to MQA causes a momentary loss of audio, roll on an MQA cd player!
Hi King, I have Polk Reserve series speakers, the R700 towers 38Hz-- 38Khz, the R400 center 48Hz - 39KHz, and the R200 Bookshelf 51Hz - 38KHz. what cross-over settings do you suggest for these speakers? I'm very new to home theater.
Hi. I am planning to connect Marantz 40n to my PC. I basically stream videos and music from my PC mainly. Do you think I could use HDMI ARC for this purpose or am I forced to use optical instead? If only this amp had USB DAC it would be perfect.

Hi mate, awesome video. Have you had the chance to hear the Klipsch Heresy IV? It seems like you have glowing reviews for the Heritage line up in general, would be interested to see if you get baby brother in the Heresy IV lives up to the Heritage standard in your opinion Cheers
Tried to love marantz 40n but im going to return it. Way too bassy to my liking. Also Dialogues are always subdued. Did you notice something similar? Everyone is praising 40n as next best thing :/ I have klipsch rf 7 II. Do you think rotel s14 would be better in this regards? I like how onkyo(nr7100) sounds with my speekers but wanted something nicer..(and with even better sound)
So tiny difference between 2 amplifiers of the same category, and so big difference between 2 speakers. I wonder why people (I mean "men", women don't care...) like so much splitting hair in four why amp, or cables, or turntable. This explains why they are so often bald I guess 🤔
im totally a Marantz boy own 2 in champagne gold silver. don,t know why i hate Rotel Exeption the michi series also Nad i remember us teen i was searching for a av processor reciever for powering a home cinema with monitor audio silvers and the sales person was trying hard to sell me the rotel i wanted the meridian or arcam instead at a moment i sayd fu... i don,t want the rotel lol i say it loaud there where like 5 people they hear it.

Not at all and im even shocked that you would think that. The S14 is worth a try.

Rotel is doing huge things atm and i really love both units👌
