    Hello! Such a great video, thanks! Do you have plans to film video about dividends paying Etf’s? Good luck! 🙂

      Thank you so much Karolina 🙏 Really glad you enjoyed it. In Europe sadly we don't have too many good dividend growing ETF's available with most of them under-performing S&P500, that's why I prefer buying just that as my ETF of choice and then add individual dividend growing companies on top 👌 Cheers

    Nice Video! I'm probably going with interactive brokers for dividend investment. I would suggest you to use tradeview and enable the 100 day simple moving average to see when the stock goes bearish and then purchase at the low. Very informative video, tho! You gain a new sub.

    Hello from Greece I just saw your channel you did a great job well done …i have one question we can’t buy a lot of etfs because of the KID why is that ?…and can you make some video for the best etfs for European investors that you suggest ?

      Hi there and thanks a lot, much appreciated. Sadly these are regulations we can't do much about it, you can read more about it here www.etfstream.com/articles/etf-insight-european-investors-set-to-be-impacted-by-kid-requirements. I don't recommend ETFs as I am not a financial advisor, but made a video here ua-cam.com/video/yR4uBoSnyCM/v-deo.html in which I show how you can find the best ETF for you. Cheers

    Hii Kai, Amazing video as always. just a question, you can buy same stock from Europe stock exchanges with Euro. but why are you converting EUR to USD to buy US stocks. is there any specifics benefits ? I always find US companies ticker symbol from EUR stock exchanges and search in IBKR and buy stock in euro. so i do not have convert EUR to USD. By the way, i will use your link for seeking alpha.

      Hi mate, thanks a lot and great question, I've asked myself the same question many times:) Technically you could buy the same stock listed elsewhere, but I just prefer owning the real deal on the main exchange it is traded on. It's more traded so usually you have lower spreads between bid and ask price and also this way, I will be secured by SIPC investors protection in the US up to $500K and lastly, I like to diversify my currencies as well as I have most of it in EUR I think owning some USD doesn't hurt. Many thanks for using my Seeking Alpha link, much appreciated🙏 Cheers

    Hi, Kai ! Love your content ! 😁
    I got a question tax related. I am from Croatia and I need to report my dividends annually.
    Can the IBKR calculate for me the amount I need to pay in dividends ? Also, if I automatically reivest my dividends, how so that I still need to pay my "income tax" on those when dividends are automatically reinvested and I don't actually recieve those dividends ?? Hope you understand my question. And how do I then calculate my let's say 12% dividend tax on income ? Can the IBKR do it for me ?
    Sorry for all these questions, hope you can somehow help me 😏
    Thank you ...

      Hey there, awesome to hear you're loving the content! 😎🙌
      First off, I'm not a tax advisor, but I can definitely share some insights that could help you navigate this financial maze. 🧭💡
      1️⃣ IBKR & Dividend Taxes: Interactive Brokers (IBKR) does provide tax reports, but it's generally not their job to calculate the exact amount you owe in taxes. They'll give you the raw data, and it's up to you (or your tax advisor) to interpret it. 📊🤓
      2️⃣ Reinvested Dividends: Ah, the magic of compounding! 🪄💰 Even if you're reinvesting those dividends, they're still considered income. Yep, you heard that right! Uncle Sam-or in your case, the Croatian Tax Office-still wants a piece of that pie. 🍰💸
      3️⃣ Calculating the 12%: To figure out your 12% dividend tax, you'd take the total amount of dividends you've received for the year and multiply it by 0.12. Simple math, but crucial for keeping the taxman at bay. 🧮👮‍♂️
      So, while IBKR is a fantastic tool for traders and investors, it's not a substitute for good ol' tax advice. My suggestion? Consult a tax professional who's well-versed in Croatian tax law and international income. 🌍📚
      Hope this clears things up a bit! Keep those questions coming; they fuel the Smart Money community! 🚀💪
      Cheers,
      Kai 🌟

    Hey Kai, question, when we have a right to earn dividend amount, is it going to be reflected directly in our IBKR account or should we click on something to active this thing?

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi, yes it will be shown in IBKR under dividends received, it sits there for a little while but will be available to invest and later on move into your overall cash reserves, but they could make it a bit nicer to see visually, that's why I prefer using it together with getquin to better track my dividends. Cheers

    Hello, Kai, I love your content! I would like to ask one question, it would mean a lot. I live in EU, so my account is in euros. When I buy ETF, I have the ability to buy it in EU, but when I buy US stocks for example, I can only buy in dollars? In this case, should I convert my euros to dollars just to buy stocks and stay with euros when I buy etfs? Cant I just buy everything with my euros? Thank you!

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  8 місяців тому +1

      Hello Arnas, many thanks for your kind words, means a lot🙏I know it's a struggle I had myself too. In the end I decided to buy my VUSA S&P500 ETF with EUR which is also my native currency. As for US stocks, I was thinking to also buy them in Europe in EUR which you can on most large EU exchanges, though I opted to go for buying them at their main stock exchange of listing i.e. in the US in USD. This way I also spread my currency risk. I usually convert my EUR to USD on Revolut and then deposit USD via Revolut to IBKR. In fact I will actually make a video on this process shortly as I've been asked about this quite a bit and it's not the easiest process. Ultimately it's your choice but as I said, for me, spreading currency makes the most sense. Cheers

      @@SmartMoneywithKai i do live in Lithuania and my currency is also EUR. Howeverr, for some reason in interactive brokers I can’t find a way to buy everything with euro (for example if ETF is in pounds, stocks in usd). Is there a way to buy everything in euros or am I missing something?
      Thank you for response, always touches my heart to see european investor making content!

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  8 місяців тому +1

      Lithuania is just amazing🇱🇹🙏 Try going into your settings change trading permission, might be that certain exchanges are not enabled by default, especially European one's. So once you have them, you could look up the ticker symbol and it show you different exchanges your security of choice is listed on. Not all are EU listed but some are👍 Hope this helps.
