- After years of extensive restoration, we are delighted to welcome you to Sir John Soane’s Drawing Office, the oldest surviving example of its kind. Deputy Director and Inspectress Helen Dorey and Head of Conservation Jane Wilkinson talk us through the restoration of this unique space and outline its exciting future!

Coming in December 2023. Very excited.
Thank you for such a focused and patient restoration.
We're excited to share the results with everyone. Thanks for watching!
This is wonderful! You all deserve to be proud. I love these timeless architectural pieces, which were a 'revival' in the early 1800s. This type of video is so encouraging. This is history intact, in its original space, now restored for future generations to enjoy and understand. Very rare indeed.
It's such a special space, preserving its history for future visitors was very important to us!
I have to say : Classic !!!
Well done
Thank you!
I would love to work in this space!
Look at this place! 😍

❤
Was in the area yesterday and we visited the Soane's house, wow, so much on to see, will his office be open the visitors?
Hello! Small tour groups will be able to visit the Drawing Office on a first-come-first-served basis on Thursdays and Saturdays, with tours taken at 2.30pm.
