Yeah, although his team let him down a few times today as well, allowing him to get undercut not once, but twice, and stops weren't very fast either. Max should have kept calm, wait for a better gap, but then again he's also a passionate driver and a human being. The fact that Lewis thought it was a race incident, instead of asking for a penalty for Max, may also show that he understands what happened.

McLaren should have pitted the race leader Piastri first instead of trying to hobble him as they have done all year. Piastri would have beaten Norris whichever way you look at it. Norris was just dirty Piastri drove better than him for 80% of the race. What McLaren should do is have a rule that's set in stone. Whichever car is in front gets pitted first or if they need to double stack (due to weather) as was the case at silverstone you double stack. Ends all trouble and undercutting a race leader. Stop manipulating race results mclaren, let them race. I'm pretty sure oscar will come out on top over the long run.

This was his first win, and they ruined it forever.

No penalty for max the reason Lewis said in his mind it was a racing incident, Max was blaming lewis so the stewards checked his data and cleared Lewis even though Max was still putting all the blame on him. Case closed.

If Norris loses the championship by a few points, they will regret this issue. I don't understand why they felt Norris had to give the place up cosidering he was so much faster than Oscar at the end. The pit strategy change wasn't that much of advantage, I don't think. I found it funny that thought Max was complaining of being driven off the track when that was exactly what he was doing to Hamilton to win one of his championships. (Of course Hamilton give some Karma back to Max today by turning into the corner where Max was just plowing through out of control. Should have done that a few years ago Lewis!!!! Anthony worked in IT. Later was a contractor on 60 pound per hour in the later 90s.
They lived in a middle class neighborhoods. His Kart was 1500 pounds (new ones were 3,000) aged 8 years old in 1992. That's a month salary, Then you need another 15K to race in the following 2 seasons. Lewis also had a Senna replica helmet which was 500 pounds just for the paint. A weeks wages. He had his own formula created for him using a batch of unwanted Yamaha Kt100 engines and his contacts got it televised. He got a oot of media attention that other kids just as good didnt. I wonder why. The hard classes (That Button went through) used the UK Talko engines. He was spoilt. He also raced very expensive 2-stroke RC cars aged 6. Often speaks about playing PC racing games when he was a kid. He was spoilt.
Max has always been childish! I knew once he wasn’t 6 tenths a lap faster than everyone we would see the real Max again. Hope no one gets hurt in the future because he can be dangerous and the FIA lets him get away with anything for the ratings!.
They broadcasters were right. Max stayed up real late playing video games, woke up early to play video games. And then raced. He clearly was cranky and tired. And yea I know it was sun racing, it still.

1) In the opening lap, when Lando force him 'off track', what could Max have done to avoid Lando, who was behind him?

According to F1 rules, both drivers must give enough room to keep the cars 'on track'.

I am glad I grew up in time when racing was racing , man against machine. The move Max made would be called ‘racing’ in the 80’s and 90s.
I suggest you watch the 1986 first Hungarian GP and the epic battle between Senna and Piquet.

I would venture to say that any of us who have followed F1 for a while - as in before DTS - are not surprised by Verstappen's form as of late. Ya Max was grumpy but the thing is, Hamilton still did turn into him. There is no question on that one. Hamilton could have easily avoided Max. Generally you don't run into someone with the front of your back tire.

Interesting…. Years ago, at Silverstone, Lew is on the inside and turfs Max. Max is out and could have been badly injured. Hungary, he gets the inside, and locks up. Interestingly, Lew is somehow not able to process the fact that there’s a lock up and (again) hits him. There is a dirty driver out there but it ain’t Max.
