My brother just purchased this first edition as a gift for me. I think they are absolutely gorgeous. I don't think I will mind the thickness. I can't wait to dive into the guidebook. Thank you for a top notch in-depth review. 💜
I have this deck and I like working with it. I never rifle shuffle so that is not a problem Hearing you talk about these cards makes me want to pick them up again although at the moment I am totally fascinated by The Wild unknown Tarot. :)
Thank you for recommending this set. I'm just getting started with Lenormand and will get this for my first deck. Knowing the guide book is so thorough is really important at this point, so thank you again!
Just ordered the deck, but the set with the book was not available just now. I'm stalking it though and will order the set as well. Never hurts to have two decks, just in case... :-)
Thank you for a great review! I have The Complete Lenormand on my iPad too, but have been thinking of getting the actual physical book too, for more convenience in using while reading. I think I will also get the deck, because I love the pictures! I’ve been reading tarot for 30 years now, and have just gotten into Lenormand for about 2 months, so I’m still a beginner. I love your videos! Subscribed. ♥️
Hi there! Just dipping my toes into Lenormand so of course I checked out your videos and bought this deck( which I love) ..and second hand copy of Caitlin Matthews book from WOB. Just thought I’d feed back that I have a later edition of the deck and guidebook ( different design package) and I think they must have sorted out the card stock as it’s nice and flexible.
Has anyone noticed that the mountain card looks like a man sitting down with his knees up with his hands on top of them and his face being the highest peak? This is the only card I don't like because it's too busy.
Oh wow, this is another deck I bought years ago and never opened but mine didn't come like this. I only have a shrink wrapped deck. Made me wonder if I had a knock off but I checked and it's from the author. So I'm guessing it has a pamphlet inside since no guidebook came with. I have the 2nd edition. I'll open tomorrow 🤔
Ahh, I had heard that it was released again, but I didn't know it was just the deck! The original book was such a great one. If you get her full book, The Complete Lenormand Handbook, it just expands from this and is really well done.
oh... I like it!!! Maybe you could add a picture with them laid out in a spread? Cause just from looking at the cards I don´t find them busy at all, as the "bull´s eye" (I know it´s supposed to be a crystal ball, but somehow I have this nautic association in my head) is so clear and stands out so well. So I´d like to see them work together - maybe it´ll be harder to get the image straight away then? But after your raving about the book I´ll probably get it anyway :D
Cuilfaen There is a Grand Tableau at the end of the video, is that not coming through for you? I personally think the images still pop quite well because of the "bull's eye" :D LOL I will put another picture up if that isn't showing for you! ~Kelly
***** They do seem to look a bit foggy (which makes sense with the crystal balls of course), which is a slight disadvantage. But the colours might pop a bit more in "real life"? It´s definitely something to grow accustomed to, but I feel like after a short period of time I´d probably perceive the surroundings as a nice background. I like it being somewhat different - maybe not the easiest deck to get used to, but I definitely like the look and the idea.
Cuilfaen Caitlin Matthews does address it in the book that on the back of a lot of sharp and digitally perfect decks they wanted a soft, hand painted look for character and I have to say that it has a great deal of charm to it, it feels like wandering through a story book. I'm going to be doing a full reading with it tonight/tomorrow and I'll let you know how it does. ~Kelly
I agree....for me the cards are too 'busy.' Just my humble opinion. I do like the change for the Cross card, though. WIsh more decks would do that sort of thing.
Brenda M. They are on first glance but I've been working on a Grand Tableau tonight for a client and I have to say they are reading very clearly :) I actually figured it was a 50/50 toss up on what I'd think about them! ~Kelly
I purchased this deck when it first came out, as soon as i opened it and looked through the deck i felt it was rather dark and heavy...none of the cards popped for me, if that makes sense lol .. i have not gone back to it since.. But now i might just to see if i still feel the same with it.
Jewels I completely understand, Jewels, I wasn't that interested in it either and ended up getting it just because I got a good deal on a used set and wanted the book BUT ended up really loving to work with the deck! ~Kelly
What a shame to butchered a classic deck. The cross is missing ✝. It is not a Lenormand deck, she ruined it. It is like, for example to get ride of A♠ in a playing card deck because you do not like this card. At least give the deck another name. ( kind of ) sigh.... Thanks for the review, I won't buy it. Sorry cause it has beautiful images, she could have put an alternative 36th cross card instead of the 37th one......
I just received this Lenormand set second edition and I must say that I am really disappointed with the cheapy, poor quality cardstock used for the cards. I think I would have paid more for a better quality cardstock. The cards could looks so beautiful with really rich colors and a nicer texture cardstock! So disappointed!
I haven't seen the 2nd edition cardstock but it is definitely disappointing when you get poor cardstock, I would prefer everything else cheaply done and the cards good :D

***** The Wild Unknown is a gorgeous deck for sure, I can understand why you would be fascinated :D ~Kelly
Excellent review, just what I was looking for! Thank you!

You are very welcome, it really is a great guidebook and her full book on Lenormand is one I would recommend as well!
Just ordered the deck, but the set with the book was not available just now. I'm stalking it though and will order the set as well. Never hurts to have two decks, just in case... :-)
Oh, that was me btw. I am Nelli and Nelli is me... :-D
Thank you for this video I really like the book and cards and bought two sets plus the book.
You are very welcome, this is a book I return to a lot!!

***** LOL oh no!!! I just looked away from the screen after you said goodbye. Totally missed it :D:D:D That´s so me lol
Oh my goodness LOL
Cuilfaen :D I do the same thing, I should have made mention of it in the video! What do you think of it all lined out? ~Kelly

Hmmm, something to consider. Thanks.
Does the book address the houses?
Lindo esse deck. Adorei.
É realmente um lindo deck!

It comes with the deck :)
