Tearout sometimes has "machinegun", and it's more chaotic then deathstep. Deathstep is heavier and has more harmonious basslines.

Tearout is more like full on rage ....heres a simple distinction. Tearout is supposed to make you feel angry and deathstep makes you feel anxiety and feel of impending doom

Heft is much slower and heavier. Heft also uses continuous bass and reverb drums.

Классический Tearout появился раньше Deathstep. Из-за звучания старого Tearout возник Brostep, из которого уже возник Deathstep. Позже из Brostep и Deathstep появился Tearout Brostep. Рекомендую ознакомиться с историей обоих жанров на rateyourmusic.

В примерах легенды обоих жанров. В Deathstep это Code: Pandorum, Evilwave, а в Tearout это Marauda, Nimda, Agony. А вообще, это вкусовщина.
