I've all ways found Insurgency game mode makes people play the objestive more, since it's forces people more to take one objective at a time. Since you have to find it then swarm it to win. Then the defence is also more concentrated as well. There is less reliance on SL and commands to coordinate a plan since people just natural stay more on target.
my experience over many years of playing pr is that insurgency is the inferior game mode. experienced less teamwork especially on the insugency team. it´s always people scattered around, no real comms and basically just people setting traps for the enemy. teamplay wise i hate this mode
What about the opfor side? I hate insurgency because half the team, the opfor side, plays like it's CoD. Not a medic in the whole team...
Slorgs is basically a funkier and fresher SovietWomble with a better upload schedule.
Nah they're entirely different. Womble has a high focus on edited comedy skits while slorgs videos are more down to earth commentary gameplay. I don't like womble's videos cuz everyone's trying so hard to be funny.

Holy shit that ending was nerve wracking. "C4 down, don't give up!" and people actually listened winning you the round with 5 tickets remaining in the end. This is what I love about PR, people for the most part actually listen. Not the case in Squad unfortunately.

How can I get back plugged in? Is there still an active community? I used to play all the time from v0.5 in 2006 all up until around 2014. Would love to jump back in and revisit some old memories!

They each have their ups and downs; cant say one is simply better xD
@@yann9915pr is better. Squad maps/game modes are linear to push action in turn creating only one way to play. Pr has many ways to play as maps/game modes are more open ended and vehicles/kits are more varied which creates more role playing aspects. It’s slower but more rewarding and alot more in depth. Its like comparing Morrowind or oblivion to Skyrim. Ones prettier and more accessible but the others are just better games.

How popular is project reality compared to squad?
Not.
One is new, on steam, modern graphics, easily accessible, the other you need to have the know-how to download and play, although1 round of PR, with its shitiest players, has more teamwork than the average squad round
