- How to grow and care for Allamanda in pot? Allamanda is one of the easiest to grow, permanent and very hardy summer flowering plants and here in this video, I have provide all info with the updates from 2018. I collected my plant in 2018 itself and so far it's doing quite well.
Please note, there are many varieties of Allamanda plants and I have shared the info about Tiger Allamanda, also known as Allamanda blanchetii or Purple Allamanda. But we can care for other varities the similar way and few other varieties that you can grow are - Allamanda Bush, Allamanda Vine etc.

Do these tips work for yellow bush allamanda? I have one in a pot, and it isn't doing well :( It still have very few green leaves, but it has lost so many and I'm afraid it will die. It was my first plant, the one that got me into house plants. I got it in memory of my dog who passed away early this year
I'm thinking I may need to repot with new soil, I'm going to try that and hope it helps

Sure, same works for Yellow Bush Allamanda too. If it's losing leaves, please see whether you are over watering or not. Leaves fall off drastically if the soil is soggy. But, good thing is they are very hardy and don't die that easily. Before watering, always please let the top 1 inch soil dry out. Also, please try to provide 5-6 hours of direct Sunlight. They can tolerate shade too..but flowers would be less. Wish you all the best!

Is Alamanda vine same as vinca minor vine? They looked similar to me.
No actually...both are different!
Please do a video on Yellow Tecoma too. My Tecoma plant just produce buds but they all fall off without blooming. I do fertilise them but gives no results. Please throw some light dada😊
Sure, I would try my best to do. My plant is in ground and I would do a video about growing in pot successfully. (plants which are in ground don't need any care almost)

Please avoid feeding them too frequently or else, it would just think about growing.
If you can give me some more ideas (like when you bought your plant, size of the pot you are using, Sunlight), I would be able to give you more info.
I cam only guess 2 reasons as info is not available -
1. Pest attack - Mealybugs and Aphids attack Yellow Tecoma a lot and they attack mostly at the top part, means at the place where it form buds. If there is any pest attack, buds would fall off drastically.
2. You have got the plant recently and that time it was blooming. Plus, you have repotted in a minimum 8-10 inch pot by using rich soil mix. If yes, plant would focus on growing fast and then it would think about bloom well. It happens with many plants..even with Bougainvillea. In such case, you would get more flower in next season. Sunlight is another factor too..please try to provide minimum 4-5 hours of direct sunlight.

@@GardeningUpbeat thanks a lot for your generous response. I had bought the plant a month back and it’s placed in the balcony where it receives just a hour or 2 sunlight and in a 10 inch pot. I can very much relate my plant circumstances with your second guess.

Allámanda likes to be rootbound?
Can say like that and they bloom well when they are rootbound. But, next year repotting would be needed or else, leaves would become smaller and flowers would be less!
