You've made a very useful video once again. You have a great way of explaining it Hard work is required to do any work and when it comes to drawing then a lot of hard work is required. Hopefully, you will continue to make more videos like this. The way you draw looks great
Thank you Mohsin! Agreed - there is a lot of work in drawing; but also don't forget inspiration, sometimes you can have a breakthrough and develop your drawing in an instant, through a really inspiring moment. I guess you have to be continually practicing and showing up to be ready for it! :)
The "point-to-point"?... I find it incredibly useful, it works so well as an under drawing for a longer study, but is a great gesture exercise in itself. 😊
Thanks for the excersices. If a pose is difficulty than I use the 3rd method for exploring the pose. I make sometimes multiple iteration before I get a result with which I can life :-) Please keep going on gesture drawing. This is a subject I am interessted more than in realstic drawing. Currently I am learning (blind) countour drawing. Sometimes the pen moves from alone if the eyes follows the contour :-)
Thank you so much George! I really appreciate you leaving this feedback, great to hear that you are interested in this more expressive approach to drawing. Don't worry I will continue with it! :) Blind contour drawing is one of the best techniques - it's exactly like that, the pen pen moves by itself to follow the eyes. Keep going with it!
¡Seguir dibujando! muchas gracias
Id like to make a curriculum for myself for figure drawing, and Im not sure in what order do I learn things such as gesture, contour drawing, construction, basic anatomy, etc And to improve in gesture drawing do I repeat the exercises you listed for a period of time every day? Or is there a better approach than just spamming figure drawings every day.
Hi Carmen! wow, that's a big question!! haha.... not sure I can fully answer it here. The curriculum I was taught started with gesture and contour drawing exercises, then moved into anatomy of the figure in sections (torso studies first, then limbs and head) and finally moved to compositional studies, design and then introduction of color and painting. The trouble you will run into over and above anything else, when you are studying on your own, is different people telling you what they think is the right curriculum, and what they think is the wrong curriculum so that will be very confusing I think, and can be really damaging to emerging artists and to creativity in general. As I said, it's really hard to answer this question here, especially since I don't know your drawing .... Can I make one suggestion - and I'm not trying to promote my class - BUT.... if you use the link in the description here, you can actually join Skillshare for free and watch figure drawing classes for 1 month. You can take my class, or if you like check out other teachers there, I can highly recommend Brent Eviston, he is an amazing drawing teacher and his figure drawing series is brilliant. That way you at least have a curriculum, made by a qualified TEACHER, that you can follow and then after that you can explore in your own way, according to what resonates with you. It's really hard to study this on your own, and with a simple Skillshare class you at least have a structure to follow. What are your thoughts on that, is this something you might be interested in?? Let me know - I realize I haven't answered your question properly, but it's the best advice I can give without knowing your work.
Hi Tony, no, not necessarily, gesture drawing is not about details or exact proportions, although I do think that eventually, it helps you to become much more instinctive for judging proportions. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! :)
Im good at drawing but the problem is the place where i live people give around 20 dollars for a portrait in which i have to spend like 15-20 hours minimum
Hi Mohsin, I am going to set up an instagram for this channel - right now I have a personal instagram, but I prefer to have an account that is dedicated to the same content and same audience from UA-cam, so stay tuned, I'll let you know and then it could be a good place to see drawings (sorry for the delayed response on this comment!)
@@Drawing-Life Thank you very much for answering my request I hope this will happen soon Thank you very much For beautiful drawings (You have no need to apologize It is my good fortune that you responded to my comment)
Thanks for watching! Let me know if any of these drawing exercises are helpful to you or if you have another method that you like to use?
I wish I could draw like you

The third option is interesting to me and I haven't tried it that way before so I will be giving that a go. Thanks! 👍

This is really really helpful! Thank you so much! I'm going to work on these today.

something about "balance" and what is the center of gravity in a figure or gesture
Hi Mohsin, I didn't get a chance to reply to this - I will try to make a video on this topic soon 👍
Awesome 👌 🆒️ 🙌 👏
Thanks friend! :)
When drawing gesture are you concerned with proportion as well as capturing the pose?
Hi Tony, no, not necessarily, gesture drawing is not about details or exact proportions, although I do think that eventually, it helps you to become much more instinctive for judging proportions. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! :)

Have you tried selling online instead? You can access different customers who might be more interested in paying more for good quality work
