New Crankshaft Position Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/ACCP...
This video shows you how to install a crankshaft position sensor on your 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala. The crankshaft position sensor is an important component of any electronically controlled ignition system. The sensor provides the computer with data about the position of the crank shaft to properly adjust ignition timing. If the sensor in your vehicle is broken or malfunctioning, you may suffer poor performance, or get a check engine light.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2006 Chevrolet Impala
2007 Chevrolet Impala
2008 Chevrolet Impala
2009 Chevrolet Impala
2010 Chevrolet Impala
2011 Chevrolet Impala
2012 Chevrolet Impala
2013 Chevrolet Impala

great video, loved how you got the camera in there so we could see what was what. If you have a big pair of side cutters, you could also put the flat side of those against the block and pinch under the sensor and try to wedge it up. I'm about to go do this very thing on a car.
Thanks for the video, great camera work and description of work being done!
Helped me bunches, got it done myself and believe me I am not a mechanic by any means.
I know one thing this is not a 3.9 camshaft position sensor
This is the best video on “how to” that I have ever seen and so amazingly put together I love the good quality feel of the whole video. Most videos are potato quality and the person speaking is hard to follow but she is sold 👍🏽
Thank you very much for the video 2 years I look for the p roblem till I decide to remplace the engine but the crankshaft sensor remplacement make my chevy traverse new
They make it look so easy
Will this help my Chevy impala 2012 when I’m driving the idle drops to zeros.
A lot of help and the best video I’ve seen on this. Thanks
it sucks they don’t specify the engine size or the trim. 👎 this was my to go to channel
gS that’s how it’s done with experience, smRts, & choice tUls. I’ve never seen, nor even heard of, ANYONE- who managed to unplug a plastic impala plug without it breaking.. impressive👋😒(btw Iv heard, & maybe it’s true, that silicone wd40 doesn’t ruin rubber or plastic.. IdOnO).
Good video, too bad we don't know what its on? LTZ, Police Package, SS? Which car is she working on?
So this video was helpful, however, is this a sensor that has to be reprogramed or relearned for the ECM?
Did you use anything to hold the engine or the bracket just needed to be removed to access the sensor ?
if u remove a motor mount all stabilize the motor
Does the bracket need to be put back?
What engine is this being done on?
I have a 3.5 v6
For anyone who is wondering what engine it is it’s a 3.5
So how did you get the 10mm on the sensor with the other sensor being in the way
Great Video and Great Job!!!!
Can you do one for the camshaft position sensor
A bit curious to know what motor this is and if this is the same motor set up for the monte carlo ss 5.3. Mine looks different.
You are a dream ❤
Quality video....
What side do you take the wheel off first?!!
This is for P05CC correct?
Anyone know yet if this is for the 5.3 V8?
I’m just went thru the top
How much should this service cost me?
I didn’t do any of that
I got a 2010 Chevrolet impala LT. Replaced the computer and done a key relearn and everything was fine. Only code I have now is crankshaft relearn with no check engine light on. I tried to do it myself at 4,000rpms ect. Didnt work. I also read it may just need to be driven up to 100 miles for it to relearn. So I drove it about 10 miles and check engine light came on. I dont want it to go back into limp mode like it was.
+MistletoeXO We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Wrong part. Change the title... Thats the camshaft position sensor not the crankshaft position sensor!
