I appreciate how you’re “forever guitars” are mostly made by friends and people you have a relationship with. Makes the lifetime with the instrument even sweeter
I thought I was ready to order my custom guitar until I checked my bank account..
haha
😂👌
At least you didn't have to check with the wife...😮
@@Lookup2Wakeup Don't tell her. :)
I’m getting my first custom soon. Being the first I had a quite a few ideas. When I talked to the builder, he talked me out of a lot of them. He’s seen 25 years of guitars. He’s built this guitar before and knows what looks good. He’s “got it right” as he said. In hindsight, I’m glad I listened and took his advice. I’m really excited to get it and see the subtle ideas we did use. It’s a different guitar without the extras. It doesn’t need them. I’m anxious to see your slope shoulder.
Great to see back! Happy 4th !!
It'll be a beauty, Jeremy! Looking forward to seeing it.
can't wait to see and hear it!!🫡
Wow, how great that you are having this guitar built. I’m very excited for you. Maybe one day…..
Good to see you!
Gorgeous Guitar 🎶✨
Jeremy,
We're in your neck of the woods right now, celebrating our anniversary. -Currently in Shenandoah Park but are headed to Luray later this afternoon. This is definitely God's country.
We were in the park yesterday! Beautiful time to be here. We did upper hawksbill, hope you love it!
@@JeremySheppard Upper Hawksbill is the best! I've been up there, many times. This time around, we're just taking it easy. I'm nursing a sore knee, and we are just doing the tourist thing.
That acoustic sounds absolutely beautiful♡ must be very inspiring. I'd love to have a acoustic that sounds like that. If only I could afford it:(
You can do it! I teach people through my course on how to buy, sell, and build a collection without losing money.
I thought the same thing when I got my Martin HD-28V with the through saddle, that I wouldn't be able to adjust the height and would have to have a luthier do it anytime it needed adjusting.
But after taping up the bridge, so I didn't nick it with the files, I just took my time and was able to adjust the saddle height to perfection for me. Yes, it takes longer and is harder to do. But I think the end result and final tone is perfect for me.
Enjoyed your video and all the decisions you made. I have a big beautiful flame maple J200 that I purchased new about.25 years ago that I have used for many gigs and recordings and still love and just feel lucky to have found. i also feel lucky that I made the big decision at the time to purchase what was a very expensive guitar for me at the time. I had a lot of reasons not to buy it, but so glad I did. When a guitar feels and sounds right it’s a great thing, congrats.
Thanks, Jeremy. I was missing a Jumbo in my arsenal. I thought about a Gibson SJ-200, but couldn't find a comfortable neck. Or a 12-fret. I now have a Kevin Kopp Trail Boss Torrified Adirondack top with maple back and sides, 3 piece maple soft V neck, with a Gibson width bone nut , similar SJ 200 body with a 12-fret neck. Lots of other specifications.
What’s wonderful about a valute? I have one on my d28 and really messes with capo use
You parted with the maple beauty! "Wow" I have often referenced to the first showcase video just out of love for the sound. No worries, same maker, I'm sure the new product will knock your socks off. P.S. draw the "Minn" out a little more in Mcminnville and your good to go.
What was that song at the end?
Beautiful guitar good luck! And I can’t say more about Virginia! ❤
Hello I was wondering if the guild m20 you had had good intonation or not?? Thanks
Yes, from what I remember. I kept the action low.
Where in LA? New Orleans is again?
My biggest surprise was the Sitka bracing, followed by the sunbufst. I thought you preferred natural.
Chris Martin might offer you a job. Lol
It’s pretty different for me. I’ve sent my resume. Haha.
What do you recommend for acoustic strings? I'm kinda new to seriously playing acoustic and so far haven't found a set of strings I'm happy with.
I love Stringjoy Foxwood lights or D'Addarrio Nickel Bronze light top/medium bottom
Thank you, I will give them a try:)
@@19sickboy71 I use D Addario XS 47/ 10 custom lights. Their a coated string but sound great and last a long a time, imo.
Thumbs up as soon as you said SUNBURST 😊. Agrees K&K just works.
How much?
jeremy how much will it cost ?
This one will be $7300 or so as it sits. I’ve got expensive taste.
@@JeremySheppard Thank you for replying. Well thats reasonable for a custom boutique guitar
Sounds like it's going to be a great guitar. The bank account won't let me do one. I guess I'll have to build my own. But it won't be as good.😊
Same. Devil is in the details. I’d spend 90% of the time diving into all of them lol
"Mic - min - vil", emphasis on "min" 😉
Guitar Hunter doesn't order a custom guitar, he "finds" it!... you should've kept 36. You're gonna regret letting it go twice!
Looks like it is covered by 25% pickguard…
You're going to sell it within 2 years. Not getting the "forever" part of all this
why not mahogany back and sides??
Because he wants maple?
Fair question, it's beautiful and readily available. I think Maple is the future of a lot of guitar builds.
