The second Air Race of our first weekend!! - The Ginger Lacy Trophy. We came fourth!
A slightly heated moment mid race where I thought I had cut a turn point by enough to be disqualified. Sophie wasn't prepared to let it go as you can see! As it turned out, it wasn't a cut at all so all was good. A few more cameras were running for this race so it's a slightly better edit that Race 1. Enjoy!
This is the Van's RV-7 tailwheel aircraft that I built in my garage over 5 years. Its first flight was in July 2023 and we now fly it everywhere we can visiting people and places and documenting our adventures along the way for friends and family. I flew fighter jets for 20 years and now just enjoy flying around the country with my wife who is also a professional pilot although she lets me do most of the flying!
