This is my first video of yours I've found and I rarely leave comments but this review was exceptional and really answered some questions that others just missed. You got my subscription. Much appreciated!
I liked your review, I'm thinking about getting the p15s, it's a workstation, I'm getting the intel version only for the thunderbolt ⚡ port. I hope your sub count goes up, quality content.
Damnn was shocked to see the sub count, was thinking around 1-2M and for a moment I thought the sub count was ~500K. You deserve MUCH more subs and I wish you get it (subbed by the way ;)). Great review and keep up!
Some of these commercial devices come with Radeon Settings Lite installed, where in the Display section they have this thing called Vari-Bright which tries to automate brightness to conserve battery. Turning that off made a world of difference and a much brighter display on my Ryzen Thinkpad :)
I just f found your channel. Really great video. Nice production quality and all - it’s really professional. I don’t get why you only have more subscribers. But note you got one more 👍🏼😉
great review! covered all the basis. don't be shy to edit out some parts to shorten the length however. thank you for speaker analysis, excited to have in the car with road noise.
My MacBook Pro opens one handed and I've never had aproblem with hinge integrity or screen wobble. Lenovo just didn't want to pay for quality hinges that do both.
thanks for this, your videos are sick. can't wait to see you blow up. really wanna sell my 2019 MBP 13 and get one of these until apple silicon matures.
I am at the point where I don't know what to get I have 2 used notebooks nearby a ThinkPad X13 with an i7-10510u 16GB of Ram or a Dell XPS 13 for a little less money and a 8th gen i5 with 8gb ram. Ram is no huge issue I will be only coding on Linux or hackintosh it. But I don't know if I should rather get the i7 ThinkPad X13 or a way thinner dell xps 9370.
Does the screen show any reduced clarity of image quality on the sides of the screen you are not looking directly at due to the anti-glare? My X13 Yoga does show reduced clarity, especially on white backgrounds. None of my past Thinkpads have ever had this issue.
Kinda bit sad how lenovo recycles a lot to this model since x280 same issues with the keyboard, camera, voice quality, even the screen, and design(varies) Putting a very good CPU is nice but felt like lenovo just called it a day after putting that. Also putting a thunderbolt 3 to bump up the price that not alot of people use is.... meh a waste? And 8Gb ram is just..bad. I wish they'd just have a baseline of 12 just to make it comfortable.
hi, i know this is a year later but can I ask what background image that is? seen at around 5min and elsewhere. I love it! always tryna expand my rotating selection of bgs lol
Awesome review, really informative! One suggestion: could you do a follow up video after one month of use? Maybe talk about whether your thoughts are the same/different from when you first got the laptop?
Great idea! Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately I haven't used the laptop as often as I would like since I'm basically stuck at home and a I have a desktop. But this is a great idea for a future video, thank you!
The battery life makes me sad and makes it a no deal for me :/ Wonderful video by the way, thank you Rajiv for the time and effort you put into it, I really like your style!
Great video, just some nitpicks I have with the video, nothing too major. You mentioned aluminum at 2:32, but most thinkpads except for the cheapest model have been using a magnesium alloy internal frame (magnesium-aluminum to be more specific with mostly magnesium) for a really long time, and this laptop should be using that too. Also with regards to the gaps in the keyboard, I think part of the reason is also because of the spill-resistant design of the thinkpad keyboards that drain liquid spilt on it through drain holes to under the chasis (there should be a few small rectangular holes for that). From my experience, it definitely works but no still excuse for me being this clumsy hahaha. Anyways, I do attest to the lid material being a serious fingerprint magnet, and it's never going to look brand new ever again unless you take the time to polish it :( I suppose one saving grace of it is that it stops me from "baby-ing" the laptop because there's no point in that, which might be the goal of the industrial design perhaps. Excellent video overall, you definitely deserve more subscribers, wish you luck with the growth of your channel :)
925 USD here for 4750U, MacBook Air is 1370 USD here. good review after watching the whole video. struggle between T14s 4650 and x13 4750, same price. what do you think?
Thats a tough call. I like the portability of laptops, thats a big deal to me that often gets overlooked when people are chasing specs. An extra inch on the screen makes for a much bigger machine.
How many models does thinkpad have.. i believe they should just have 3 one for gamers and production one for business and one for non heavy users.. i love thinkpad pad i have and x1 carbon is my favorite laptop
What is the point of people talking about the one hand opening that is just laziness.. i guaranteed almost no one used one hand to open a laptop.. is ntn against you but is just truth . And about the screen is that lenovo is more for business and the anti glare is important for people like me that can't use glass screen because of my eyes.. apple doesn't give that option
I hear you, and get what you're saying. As silly as it may seem, the one handed open is something that people generally consider engineering marvel. Lots of newish cars have a touch screen and physical button controls. Is the touch screen necessary? Of course not. But public perception and cost benefit go a long way.
What are your idle temps like, just curious? Mine ran a little high imo (avg like 60-65c) and I ended up disabling the turbo boost which decreased temps by about 10c
@@Fakeit538 Yup, also have the 4750u. I'm honestly a bit disappointed but I figure that these Ryzen chips aren't necessarily designed with prolonged load for hours in mind. I hit the upper limit of almost 100c playing GTA IV for a couple hours (poorly optimized game so not a great example).
I was looking at a used one it lookwd super nice especially for programming but the fact that it lacks the numbers on the left side and also it was a german keyboard it makes me not so sure 😕😕 I am used with dell 15.6" qwerty keyboard where I know everything by heart so I don't know how I would adjust 😭😭
This video was helpful. I’m currently trying to decide between the X13 yoga and 9i. I was wondering if you thought about buying the 9i and why you chose the x13 over the 9i.
idk man that's on you for getting privacy guard. you got it simply because it was the most expensive option? you obviously never needed or wanted privacy guard
@tarub-tatub's-comment/post "why the keypad have a pencil eraser?": It's called a "pointing stick". And the two left-&-right mouse-buttons for it are directly below the keyboard.
Too much blah blah blah A beautiful shirt but would much better to see the computer itself and last thing please do not always show the same images of the machine You're video is boring it looks a one man show
Bro! The display on the Macbook Pro is high gloss. It shows everything. I hate it! So don't compare an anti-reflective with a high gloss highly reflective screen. Please! The webcam actually looks really good so not sure what the problem is. Anyway look at the NEW X13. It's had great reviews.
Why tf this channel has only 109 subs only. This is a quality channel with quality content OP deserve more.
Loved it subbed it.
Because we see his face more than the product itself.....
Man what did I just see. Your content is highly professional. By now my thanks I was about to get.this pc . Best review I've seen so.far
Dude you should have more follower. Quality Review and good editing. Very calmly spoken. Love it.

Poor viewing angles with Privacy Guard enabled...that isn't a flaw, that's a feature...
This video is of exceptional quality. Of even higher quality than some of the more mainstream reviewers
The advice on the difference of RAM usage in ryzen and intel is gold, thanks!
whoa this is the most detailed review that I've watched. Kudos sir

Buying this laptop used at $650 identical specs to the one you have
was thankful to find your video
This is crazy good content, keep it up and you'll go places!

Nice , I'm looking to give the X13 Thinkpad Yoga a try with it's OLED touch screen.
Did you get it? If so how is it?
Good video my dood keep it up
I've been been stuck in the X13 vs T14s dilemma.
How is the screen with the privacy guard? Is it still 100% sRGB?
Great! Thank you
My X13 microphone quality is so bad, any help on how to improve the quality?

thinkpad screen woes are present since 2010.
theory: owner of a thinkpad x230t from 2013.
Haha that stinks, fingers crossed Lenovo gets a truly magical display on their next line.
you deserve more subs
Great review. Does the privacy screen give this display 120Hz refresh rate like HP's privacy screen does (or did?)?
Unfortunately not; that would be incredible. Thanks for watching!

cool video. keep up the good work.

You said you will use this one for few years. I wonder is it still working by now!

The palm rest of the X13 isn’t plastic, it’s made of magnesium.
X13 has S tier build quality, but the performance is so trash. Lenovo Yoga series is more powerful and cooler temp
But for video editing is better a p1 gen 1 or 2 or the x1 extreme... does this one comes with a graphic card?
Great review 👍
How much for the exact configuration as yours?
Hi there thank you, after shipping and tax, $1162.
