    A very good demonstration! Simple, clear and straight foward 👍
    I have seen a few other people doing it, but I have yet to hear long-time experiences. I'm concerned about the daily water consumption. Is it too little or too much? I will try this myself and do a few meassurements: I will draw lines on the bottle at every 100ml mark and check on them every hour to see how much water dripped into the earth. A german woman has said in a video like this that if less air is coming from a tightened lid, less water will flow trough. The bottlecaps could be a great way to control the amount of water coming trough.
    We are getting less and less rain every year in europe and our forests are dying, especially during the increasingly hot summers. Perhaps that will keep my small crops and flowers alive, which will keep the bees and butterflies happy. It makes me sad to see so few of them flying around in the summer, because they don't have enough food. I will also try to build something similar from which the insects can drink a few drops of water

      Hey Chudea. Welcome. So nice to have you.
      Yes that lady is right about the air absorption. Normally air entering the bottle will force water out. So control and regulate flow rate by the cap.

      @Chudea. Chudea wish you great joy and success. Another tip to consider with this simple but effective method concerning feeding your precious plants. Do you know the concept of homemade "Black Gold' liquid fertiliser? Take a plastic container such as an old garbage drum with a lid. Fill the drum halfway with garden refuse, weeds, cut lawn clippings, in fact anything you have. Fill the drum with water. Put the lid on and let the contents soak for at least four weeks. I would recommend to start filling your plastic bottles with a dilution of this every fourth time you fill them. The dilution ratio is 1 cup "Black Gold" to 5 litres of water. The beauty of it is this liquid fertiliser is totally free, organic, and feeds plants well.

    I think the dripping hole was too big. A hole done with a sewing needle would just be fine as the plant needs only a few drops a minute.

    • @jeoff_rez73

      It should last up to 5 days providing the drip hole is very small and the bottle is upright a d not having multiple ripples. This could exhaust the system quicker than usual.

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  2 роки тому +8

      -Ensure you place the bottle straight
      -Ensure the hole is very small
      -Lightly compress the earth at the drip hole.
      Until you see just one ripple every 3- 5 seconds. So you press and watch for a few seconds until you get it right. If it is too tight just rock the bottle a little to free up.
      Might take you a little time to get it right especially if you're doing it for the first time. Its way more easier for me as I've done it numerous times over years.
      I wish you well. Let me know it that helped.

      If you should watch the entire video you will see how.
      What is important is that the bottle is upright and the flow regulated so one bubble comes up every 2 to 3 seconds. If you can do that then you're in for some success

    Hi, the water won't get hot because the sun? Does hot water harm the plant?

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  Рік тому +2

      It is partially buried underground. The soil down there will be cool and moist so as the water releases into the earth it also cets cool instantly😊👍❤

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  Рік тому +2

      The water though heated by the sun will not harm your plants as it is not poured directly on to the plants. The water would be released into the earth first which has a cooling effect as the soil beneith the surface is already moist and cool.

      The size of the hole will make the difference. So this can last up to 5 days.
