I'm 54. So "fifty something" when I first heard it. What I love about this song is that it reminds of when I was younger and just sort of "experiencing existence. There wasn't much thought to it. As it should be. Now that I'm older, it warms my heart to see videos like this of young folks just out there in the world. The funny thing is that now that my kids are grown and out of the house, I'm experiencing a sort of old person's version of this. Albeit with decades of life experience with which to contextualize things. Life is really awesome.
@@ashmidnightbeats2621 It's not pure Synthwave but it definitely has elements of it just like The 1975. Have always been in love with 80s sound even tho I'm a 90s kid. This guy needs to collab with The Midnight, Ollie Wilde, and Timecop1983, etc.
Came back here because of the realization that I'm almost in my mid 20s, still figuring out life, afraid of missing out and growing older without being able to do the things that are meaningful to me.
@Olly Pakai I wouldn't say it's worse, or that it's getting better. I guess it depends on which side of life it is because I learned to compartmentalize. I'm dreading to finish my postgrad studies and that's mostly if not always the parts with the downs and it's making its way into my personal life. Other times.. Often when I'm by myself, those were the good times since I travelled here and there whenever there's free time. But overall, it's complicated + "this is fine". But hey, thanks for asking. You really made my day.
This group will definently get popular in the future, I'm gunna sit here and support them while that happenes. I love the vibe that this song gives off btw.
Songs like this are so hard to put in a particular genre. Like it has tempo but at the same time gives you a tranquil vibe as if you're driving through a silent city at 5 am and this song plays in your car. Wow. I'm so in love with this band and the amazing songs they make. So thankful to Spotify playlist to discover them. ❤️
I try and listen to this song when I get the tightening in my chest before I have a meltdown over my indecision on my life and always living the memories of my past. It’s so nice knowing that I’m not so alone feeling this way.
I swear, these guys make some absolutely amazing music. They played last Saturday in Baltimore, opening for the Midnight. While the Midnight was killer as always, these guys definitely rocked the house! Y'all just earned yourself a new fan.
I'm currently 25 and I've been having problems coping with the pandemic and life in general. I recently heard this song and I fell in love. It has been a tremendous help in helping me deal with the things going on in my life. It's difficult but this song helps me feel like I can still breathe and have time to figure things out. :)
Grow a pair of steel balls and you'll be fine brother. Respect and much love, I hope the rest of the year gets better for you. But always remember: Balls of steel to beat the feels.

This song is so close to my heart, for some reason it reminds me of a guy I madly fell in love with a few years back. And the lines "and if you decided that you don't wanna stay, I won't try and stop you from moving to LA" make me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME
Talk you down Wasted on the couch Say what you're feeling now Don't hold back Spell it out Spare me your dirty mouth Whatever is keeping you here now Don't let it fade Caught in a web of your memories Like the way we would talk, we were 17 But I'm losing the feeling that's keeping me Here now, here now So don't freak out, we're only twenty something All I know is that with you there's something So different, and I will never slow down And I will never slow down Lay right here and we can waste away Taste the corners of your pretty face All I know is that with you there's something And I will never slow down What's there to cry about Such a shame to see a face like yours Fallin' to pieces on the bathroom floor We can stay up all night Till you're sure Oh it's alright And if you decided That you don't wanna stay I won't try and stop you From moving to LA But know that I still hate it Every time you say "Will you forget about me?" So don't freak out, we're only twenty something All I know is that with you there's something So different, and I will never slow down And I will never slow down Lay right here and we can waste away Taste the corners of your pretty face All I know is that with you there's something And I will never slow down Don't freak out Don't stop now babe We're only twenty something We're only twenty something Don't freak out Don't stop now babe We're only twenty something We're only twenty something Don't freak out Don't stop now babe We're only twenty something We're only twenty something Don't freak out Don't stop now babe We're only twenty something We're only twenty something

Good god this is a beautiful song. I can't get enough of this.
Talk you down
Wasted on the couch
Say what you're feeling now
Don't hold back
Spell it out
Spare me your dirty mouth
Whatever is keeping you here now
Don't let it fade
Caught in a web of your memories
Like the way we would talk, we were 17
But I'm losing the feeling that's keeping me
Here now, here now
So don't freak out, we're only twenty something
All I know is that with you there's something
So different, and I will never slow down
And I will never slow down
Lay right here and we can waste away
Taste the corners of your pretty face
All I know is that with you there's something
And I will never slow down
What's there to cry about
Such a shame to see a face like yours
Fallin' to pieces on the bathroom floor
We can stay up all night
Till you're sure
Oh it's alright
And if you decided
That you don't wanna stay
I won't try and stop you
From moving to LA
But know that I still hate it
Every time you say
"Will you forget about me?"
So don't freak out, we're only twenty something
All I know is that with you there's something
So different, and I will never slow down
And I will never slow down
Lay right here and we can waste away
Taste the corners of your pretty face
All I know is that with you there's something
And I will never slow down
Don't freak out
Don't stop now babe
We're only twenty something
We're only twenty something
Don't freak out
Don't stop now babe
We're only twenty something
We're only twenty something
Don't freak out
Don't stop now babe
We're only twenty something
We're only twenty something
Don't freak out
Don't stop now babe
We're only twenty something
