Hi all , i always wanted to paint some 6mm so here are a brigade of British infantry they are from baccus miniatures and bought with my own money . Regards Gav.
Beautiful work Gav, they are stunning mate. Baccus are definitely some of the best 6mm miniatures out there and you’ve done them proud buddy. I hope you enjoyed a nice slurp from your brow after making the video 😂😂. Looking forward to seeing your next video 👍
Thank you very much Lee i really like the 6mm and will be painting more as time goes by (takes a slurp from his Yorkshire tea ) Look after yourself marra . Regards Gav.
Gavin. I've been following you for a little while now and just found this video. I'm a 6mm gamer, having just purchased both forces for the AWI. Great paint job. I also liked seeing the base's, as I was wondering how to base mine. Looks like I'll follow your lead, not closing the ranks/figure strip's up together. Keep up the great work.
6mm !!! What a small and cute soldiers. Excellent painting and finish. Do you have GOD HAND, Gav ? lol Have a nice week end and stay safe my friend. Best wishes, NOB
Fantastic result and worknanship marra - these are some tiny figures. Love the colors and how it all looks on the bases! Thanks for sharing Gav - have a great weekend / Regards Fredrik
When these look good on my 60 inch TV it means you did a good job, Think I, ll leave these off my give it a go list, I want to hang on to what's left of my eye sight lol, great video Gav
My memory isn’t to good these days but at Yorktown we were defeated by French infantry regulars and artillery some idiot of an RN Admiral had allowed a French reinforcement fleet to sail up the York River so we were trapped. But it was a French victory with some Americans who couldn’t move a smaller British force. So beer up I’m from Stoke-on-Trent originally.
Cracking job they look great, i like the way you based them. Thanks for the mention mate, really nice of you to do that as you have in the past. I just bought a book called the Armies and Uniforms of Marlborough's wars vol 1 from partizan historical, Caliver books, it has a few colour plates but lists the uniform details, of every army, and every regiment that fought. It lists coat and cuff colour, breeches and tricorne lace, good value for your money £19.00 plus postage.Take care mate thanks again
Late to this video. I am working on 15mm Blue Moon AWI for the 1777 Philadelphia campaign which is in my backyard so to speak. Amusingly enough I am a colonial who has done AWI reenacting with a British regiment of foot. Our unit was a light infantry company. More amusing thing was I got annoyed with the Bess overheating at Monmouth so I switched to the French Charleville. I joked to the rest of the unit that I am portraying a British soldier carrying a French musket hah. Good times.
@@gavinbooth It is a great period to read up on, wargame and reenact if you have the chance to do so. I am fortunate to live where a lot of the key events of the period happened. Even got to field on the actual Monmouth Courthouse battlefield in full British uniform.
Absolutely gorgeous work on these guys Gav. They look so nice with the paper flags, and much easier than painted molded ones! Maybe I should get you to paint my Mahratta 😂😂 I sprayed my redcoats primer red, then a wash over to see the details. Just another way to start them. Thank you sir for the shoutout! I love Seans work. As always Gav a joy to listen to your rambles, Ramble on marra!
Cheers Steve i do think about building up an ECW army i would also like to paint some empress 28mm for fun but no time for 28s right now . Regards Gav.

Thanks for putting this 6mm video up. I'm looking at returning to a pike and shot era effort I began two years ago and am feeling the itch for. Sharp looking start to your army! Curious if you ever get started on the Williamite 1680s stuff as you mentioned.
Cheers Will i have both sides for the Williamite war in Ireland minus the French but in 10mm there's a play list but they were early videos and worse quality than these ones ! Good luck with your project marra . Regards Gav.
Beautiful, i love the little fellas, i can imagine a mass of them looking amazing!!! Gav, are there any rules/science about the size of the base, when i was wargaming 40 years ago i remember there had to be very specific widths for bases because of melee rules?? Cheers Glen p,s, where was ya tea!!!!
Cheers Glen the 18mm naps i am painting for commission that rules has specific base sizes but these days most things go especially if both sides use the same size . On these base i could have packed out with figures but had to go with economy . Regards Gav.
