He actually saved those universes by showing they can be powerful if scene first hand. That’s why at the end if 17 didn’t wish for them back they would have gotten erased. The tournament was the ultimate test that goku helped pass because he’s innocent at heart.
Another two cold black characters are Omoi and Karui from Naruto, the siblings from Kumogakure. Always remember when they went OFF on Naruto and Sakura to get revenge for the “death” of Killer Bee
