Incompetent jury of Croatian Radio & Television did not want Baby Lasagna at Dora at all. He entered the competition as a reserve, because someone else dropped out.
The song is about young people leaving their home (and immigrating to other countries; 400,000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is litehearted. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. He writes songs & books too. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever. With big stage and some improvements, it’s a definite contender.

Why the green colour would remind you of Kaarija? Kaarija has not invented of colour green. Green is the colour of hope. In the song a young man bids farewell to a home he is about to start a new life in another country. Green means the new beginning and home also the green countryside he is leaving behind. Kaarija himself has said Rim Tim Dagi Dim is a different song than his own and he loves Croatian representative's song.
Calm down yer titties there girl! I never said Käärijä invented the green colour, I said it reminded me in the sense that both songs are very energetic and for me green represents energy and strength which I love, that is all! Don't try create drama where there's none 😁😁

Love it ❤️ I actually love the dancers and how they incorporated a traditional Croatian dance steps into that metal rock beat. The protagonist of the story states that he likes nothing more than his village dance and thus he is having one more party before leaving his homestead. It’s quite comical when e sings about the city boys so “pretty and advanced,” and he is hoping that they may “know this dance” 😂 Dance has that power from the antiquity to raise your spirit. It’s important part of many cultures. Don’t Greeks dance and break glasses to show the Hades that they are still alive?!
