Yay! I’m so glad you got the speaker (I bought it)! You’re so welcome!☺️ I hope your Dad enjoys it! Christian was very close, lol! But you pronounce my name Chris-teena. If that helps! Loved the video Karolina, as always❤️
@Handcrafted Homestead Episode 10! Whoo hoo! This was my favorite episode! You did so many fun and interesting things. I am amazed at all you can do. You are so talented and skillful! You just get out the drill and put up lights, then put shelves together all by yourself, then carry a heavy wooden thing up those uneven stairs! Goodness! And how many treats did you bake? Your family is so blessed to have you, Karolina. You are sweet, thoughtful, generous, creative, playful, inventive, neat, artistic....I could go on and on. You're a delight! Thank you so much for another wonderful video. Much love from the United States of America 🇺🇲
Wow that's A LOT 😂💕but thank you! That's so sweet, and yes I bake a lot, and I realised I forgot to show that poppy seed swirl cake in the end 😭. My mistake, oops. But thank you again, I'm just so glad people are enjoying the videos and that they make them smile.
Bread...heat a cast iron casserole with a lid on the wood stove.til really hot...lower the bread in on a piece of parchment , lid on. Then move to the gas oven. Will cook quickly and use less gas
MANUAL WOOD CHOPPER &TOOLS I would like to make a suggestion for your Amazon list. Your Mom works so hard on the house and she has to chop wood. So how about finding a manual wood chopper for everyone to use? I looked and there are lots for less than $100. It would make the job go so much faster. There is a tool for making kindling too. Then how about getting your Dad some tools that he might like to have. Like a drill that has a light on it so he doesn't need someone holding a flashlight. Love your whole family!!! Do you have a P.O. Box? So we can send you some items?
In Germany we put the shoes outside the door before bed, and we get fruit, nuts and chocolate if we are good and coal and switches if we are bad. In the states we hang a stocking on the mantle for small toys, and candy (maybe not chocolate if the fireplace has a fire) Your videos are so refreshing, its nice to hear you speaking your native tongue, maybe you could give us some beginner lessons.;)
Aww that's awsome. We don't do it to more original way though, the original way is that st nicholas and a devil and an angel will come to the house in the evening and greet the kids and st Nicholas will get out his list, read if the child has been good and if so the kid will get some chocolate. Usually people get there family relatives to dress up though 😂💕. But I love hearing about your ways of doing it, it's amazing.
@@handcraftedhomestead255 I heard about the tradition of putting a shoe outside the house from a book written in 1950 by Patricia St. John. The book is called Treasure of the Snow. The story is based in Switzerland. There is also a movie too. It is a very good story about forgiveness. (But in the story Dani finds a kitten cuddled up in his shoe that Father Christmas brought him. He names the kitten Kluas.) I hope you look it up, it is so good.
I'm an American of German heritage. We learned about putting shoes outside the door before bed when we were children. The family still hangs stockings on the mantle every Christmas as well.
Oh Karolina, I just loved this! I have heard of the custom of putting out the shoes before. I did not know about the onion and I thought that was cute. Ozzie's little figures were charming. Your Mom's sourdough bread looked amazing, and I liked to hear about the job's tears. Ideas for your list: a log splitter(elec) to put in the barn , snow suits for the fam, rubber boots for the fam, Ikea gift cards, an on-demand water heater.
American here, but a friend of mine did this growing up. When we met in college she had all of us leave our shoes outside our dorms so she could put candy and notes in them for Saint Nicholas. It was a very sweet memory.
What a lovely video of your daily life! The music, the filming, the editing is all so good. I know you put a lot of effort & time into it. It shows. Well done!
I want to thank you for the lovely memories you send my way. They are not only yours, they are some of mine as I recall my memories. I once had a very large family and have some happy memories of the times we shared. Bless you for helping me remember.
Karolina thanks for sharing your tradition about putting a shoe in the window very interesting .love the added touch of music in your video. Thanks also for share all the beautiful meals for your family you do it with so much care .
@Hand Crafted Homestead Have you considered putting a recipe book together and publishing on Amazon? I love some of the meals you make. Especially the soups or stews. And using so many vegetables! I think it's great and I would totally buy it! Great video, Congratulations on episode number 10! Well done! Looking forward to seeing more hand crafted for Christmas! Thanks for the traditions and the storytelling! Always interesting to learn of other cultures traditions.
Not one onion for you. You are a delight and joy to watch. Christmas is when saint Nicholas brings toys for children in Canada. Bad kids get a lump of coal (no one ever got that).Hugs and advent blessings.

Karolina, I know others have told you this, but your family in these videos remind me as an elder, of the days when we heated with wood & cooked on the wood stove. When we made homemade ornaments & baked everyday. I was a tomboy and would have dragged that furniture just like you, lol. Life in America got so accelerated, mechanized, modern & “easy” that we sadly forgot simple pleasures. Your lovely family reminds me, tho, and I for one am so grateful to you all. From my simpler expat life in Mexico, I send wishes for a Happy December birthday to your dad! Tell Oz he is a film star in the making! And always remember you are a strong, resourceful woman like your mama, with the soul of an artist inside you!☮️🕉💟

Great video! My Dad's family came from Belgium along time ago. When I was a kid (I am in my 60s now) my Great Aunts made us stockings and we hung them and Santa would bring us fruit, nuts and beautiful hard candies. And some small wined up toys from Germany.

Love watching the simple pure life you and your family are living. It relaxes me and makes me appreciate my life growing up. Shoes are similar to stockings here in US and western world I think...Blessings to you and your family!
It’s so nice to have you back! Things are getting back to normal now. Won’t it be lovely to have a sink? It should make your job of cooking so much easier. The wreath you made is absolutely beautiful; I’ve never made one in my life. And I’m old! We’d always bought ready made ones. It is wonderful seeing your whole family together and helping each other with chores and everything that needs doing. I imagine that the wood cutting can be a bit back breaking so it’s nice to have more than one person doing it! You are such an amazing family. Enjoy being home and I look forward to seeing your next episode.
I just love you! You are too cute and so real. Your videos are so refreshing to watch. I like your willingness to try just about anything. Stay true to who you are. Love from Arizona, USA
So happy I found your videos....Keep up the good work Miss Karolina...! You seem like such a sweet girl and I love how you do so many different things around your home. Your Mom and Dad must be very proud. It looks as tho your family has quite a large task ahead of you to upgrade your new home, but with your family working together as you do.....you will succeed!! Take care..Look forward to your next video !
Dear Karolina, Ozzie and family. Thank you sweetheart for allowing us to visit with your family through these amazing videos. You have opened up your lives to us all and it is a pleasure to watch you share your daily lives with us. It is lovely to see you do your daily tasks like cooking and building items for the home. What stands out the most for me, is you are so very humble. You appreciate everything and nothing is overlooked. We love watching you cook. Its somehow very calming and peaceful. Thank you for a beautiful video. Love and best wishes from Jack and Family from Brisbane Queensland Australia.
I loved Ozzy’s wee snowmen! I have shared your channel with so many friends and they are also loving it. Hoping you do get a postal box so we can send you things, I am not savvy on doing Amazon wish list. Note to Mama: you have raised a beautiful daughter, be proud!
You know talking about Oklahoma weather. When talking about weather there. It is the same! Lol Happy Birthday Dad.. God Bless you all. And keep safe 🙏😘❤ Merry Christmas to you all.
..wOw your doin an amazing Job..you can cook such a delicious meal..and can built almost everything..oh dear Oozy your an angel..your mom is such an amazing mom..
I wonder if you could make a little cookbook? You have all these lovely recipes and make some lovely meals. I am sure if you made it as a pdf download you could sell it on etsy or for less hassle and less profits sell it as a self published book on amazon or similar? I for one would love your madeleine recipe!
Lovely! You all bring what each can to make your home cozy and warm! Your home making skills add sweetness to each day for the whole family! A sink! Wonderful addition.
Hi, you live such a wonderful life! I am thrilled to look what you do and how you renovate. Don't forget to wear protection while doing renovation tasks to protect legs, hearing, eyes etc! I lost some of my hearing because I never wore proper protection and I lived beside construction site. Take care ✨
Your videos give me so much joy. I want them to never end. I then look so forward to the next one. I loved your music choices in this one very much. My favorite things you do: ducking out of the picture frame, and the very quick close ups to emphasize. Karolina, you are pure gold (with a little garlic)😉
That was very nice I really enjoyed very much it was done very well I want to thank you and your family for having us into your home and for your time you are such a sweetheart and your family so beautiful happy Holidays
Enjoying you videos and how you and your family work together for a common cause, the happiness and comfort of each other! Your mom is an amazing woman. Say hi for me!
What a sweet wreath! How sweet! I enjoyed this video with all your cooking and building and fun times with the family. A bit of Christmas cheer too. 27:29 Loved the nighttime snow shot of you catching snowflakes with your tongue. So lovely. ❄️❄️❄️
Oi família incrível amo ver seus vídeos cheio de riqueza a neve caindo você brincando com seus irmãos sua mãe tão linda obrigada por compartilhar moro no Brasil
Really good video nice shot of you in the dark with snow falling. You have so much fun with your family. Plenty of treats in your shoes. What a great surprise. In USA we have Christmas stockings hung from the fire place mantle. Treats, fruit and toys for good little girls and boys or coal and switches if you have been bad. You have decorated your home so nicely. Please tell Ozzy he did a great job carving the little Christmas people. Madeleines look tasty. Sprinkle with a little white powdered sugar. Looks like snow. Happy Birthday to you father hope he likes the speaker. Watching from Texas. Donna
I love Bob and Billy….or the rest of them…..and love your bakery…moving furniture….make your room very nice🥰 ….and your food seems very god and healty…. Very inspiring actually🤗 Hi from Denmark 🇩🇰
Here is a tip for you when working alone. Use Clamps. The come in all sizes and lengths or just about any job. Makes things so much easier. I feel so bad for your mom having to do all the wood chopping out in that bad weather. You two women are real troopers for what you have had to deal with alone so far. Your progess is really amazing. Yes a sink!!!! Thats the best Christmas gift of all. Loved the video. You are a wonderful baker and cook. I make granola bars full of all kinds of nuts, seeds and dry fruits. Makes breakfast so quick and handy. Grab and go.
Yeah chopping wood outside in that weather... Doesn't look or sound to fun 😂 I was inside adding lights to the shelves 🤣💕. And live to hear you make granola bars, they sounds SO good. Love nuts and dried fruit 😊
@@handcraftedhomestead255 *_ Karolina, need to ask a simple question? Notice you guys don't seem to cook Meat, are you Vegetarian? Regards from Cape Town, South Africa _*
Your family and life is such fun to follow. You life is similar to how mine and my children’s were. They are all grown now and I am a great grandmother. Such fun to see thank you.
With my brother when we were growing up if we had this tradition the 1st up would definitely put all the treats in one shoe and all the onions and coal in the others.
Karolina and family, another special video, you got so many helpful chores done. Always amazed at how talented all of you are. Just shows how family's should work together to make life better. You are a joy. Janice from Arkansas USA
In Italy we do something similar but it is on the 6th January, on the eve of the Epiphany and La Befana (a witch who flies on her broomstick) comes to visit and pass judgement on the children and in your shoes you will have sweets if you are good and coal and onions if you were naughty. One year we found coal in our shoes but it was really candy that looked like coal lol. We also got sugared almonds, oranges and biscuits!
I grew up celebrating Saint Nicholas Day, as my mother was half Austrian. Also my Dad was mostly Slovak. My sister and I always looked forward to lining our Sunday shoes with foil to get our surprise on December 6th! Happy Holidays to all of you!
I would love to see you collect greenery from the land & watch you create your wreath. It may seem mundane but I’m sure many people would love to watch & learn. Your wreath is stunning. Ozzie made some incredible Christmas ornaments for the tree. Don’t forget to put something on your wish list for Pippin & the kittens too!…..and Ozzy!!
Hi Karolina! Another great video. It is so refreshing to watch you and your family together and you can see the definite love. The family that works, plays, and prays together, stays together. It always amazes me to see what all you accomplish in your day. Most teenagers don’t have a clue about how they would live in your life. You should be very proud of yourself and your entire family. Does anyone know how you can send from Amazon gifts to Karolina and her family? I live in Florida in the USA. I can access her wish list but I don’t know how to send a gift from her wish list, any help would be appreciated. Karolina, take care, stay safe.
I sent her the speaker. You just add what you want to your cart and pay. But ship it to her address, which will be in there to click on. You may have to translate the browser to English. It’s just like ordering something for yourself. I don’t think she has anything in her wish list right now.
We hang stockings and we get treats and small tokens, sometimes coal, along with gifts under tree for Christmas. Your mom and dad have done a great job in raising you children.
Karolina, great video. You all have gifts beyond belief. Your house is so transformed from what it was. Now it’s cosy warm & lovely Glad u all got lots of shoe gifts. We don’t have that , but my daughter in law had this gift day for kids growing up It’s enriching to share other countries traditions. Do u have 🎅 Santa on 25th You & your family are a joy to see. Sending love & best wishes to all. Maureen💐🇮🇪
Fabulous seeing all the many events that are taking place. Hope your Dad enjoyed his gift and the business of the car starting has been fixed easily. The Snowball fight between you guys was the best, and someone needs to show Alfred how to make a Snowball properly. Heard of the shoe gag but with our family, and us kids being horrors as we were, we all would have been snatched up and cast in Hell in no time. Great video. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh I have the exact same speaker! They are great little things. I connect via bluetooth to my phone, and can cast radio or spotify playlists wherever I am. I am sure he will love it. And what you mention celebrating in Czech, I know as Krampusnacht on the night of the 5th, then St Nicholas day on 6th. Krampus is the devil that takes away naughty children
Ahh, yes! St Nicholas also used to leave me a treat if I left my clean shoes outside the bedroom during December..lol..thank you for reminding me. (my mum was German and and I was brought up in Denmark and it was not a Danish thing)
Yay! I’m so glad you got the speaker (I bought it)! You’re so welcome!☺️ I hope your Dad enjoys it! Christian was very close, lol! But you pronounce my name Chris-teena. If that helps! Loved the video Karolina, as always❤️

What a lovely wreath 🥰
I loved Ozzy’s wee snowmen! I have shared your channel with so many friends and they are also loving it. Hoping you do get a postal box so we can send you things, I am not savvy on doing Amazon wish list. Note to Mama: you have raised a beautiful daughter, be proud!
I’m so glad you’re closer to getting the sink ready to wash dishes!
You know talking about Oklahoma weather. When talking about weather there. It is the same! Lol Happy Birthday Dad.. God Bless you all. And keep safe 🙏😘❤ Merry Christmas to you all.
You guys always get so much accomplished! It inspires me to work harder. Love your family!

Loved the snowball fight! 😂 lol.
I wonder if you could make a little cookbook? You have all these lovely recipes and make some lovely meals. I am sure if you made it as a pdf download you could sell it on etsy or for less hassle and less profits sell it as a self published book on amazon or similar? I for one would love your madeleine recipe!
I absolutely love watching your family! While u were gone Mom& Ozzy did a great job filming love seeing house projects
So lovely. ❄️❄️❄️
Did I see you wearing your slippers in the snow? Just love your family. You are a joy to watch.
Lovely to hear our other countries celebrate the festive season! Hi from Tasmania Australia! 🤶🎅👏
Mi familia ama la autenticidad de su canal. Gracias por su tiempo. Un abrazo fuerte desde Barcelona.
Hello! So very much enjoy seeing everybody. Love your video. Loved seeing the shoes on the window.
Window sill.
Donna
I love Bob and Billy….or the rest of them…..and love your bakery…moving furniture….make your room very nice🥰
….and your food seems very god and healty….
Very inspiring actually🤗
Hi from Denmark 🇩🇰
The music the way you film your food making and the everyday life is a joy to watch. It's not like all the others that make video's its far better.
Спасибо! Прекрасное видио.
Karolina - you need to put clamps on your Amazon wish list. They are like an extra pair of hands and can be used for all sorts of things. 😜😊
@@liongod1000 I have seen them cook meat sometimes.
Your family and life is such fun to follow. You life is similar to how mine and my children’s were. They are all grown now and I am a great grandmother. Such fun to see thank you.
The lights look great and your wreath is beautiful!
Thanks Karoline, it was a pleasure to watch! 👍😊🎅🎁🎀🎄
With my brother when we were growing up if we had this tradition the 1st up would definitely put all the treats in one shoe and all the onions and coal in the others.
WOW, so nice...Thank you...I am old so nice clips like this fill my time...Love seeing the snow, no snow here as of today...
Karolina and family, another special video, you got so many helpful chores done. Always amazed at how talented all of you are. Just shows how family's should work together to make life better. You are a joy. Janice from Arkansas USA
My grandson 10 yrs, loved the rabbits and the snow...!
So enjoy your videos,
In Italy we do something similar but it is on the 6th January, on the eve of the Epiphany and La Befana (a witch who flies on her broomstick) comes to visit and pass judgement on the children and in your shoes you will have sweets if you are good and coal and onions if you were naughty.
Carolina, I suggest you use the cutout from the kitchen sink to make a couple of cutting boards(or one, giant one).
I love the shoe thing. Thank you for sharing.
We hang stockings and we get treats and small tokens, sometimes coal, along with gifts under tree for Christmas. Your mom and dad have done a great job in raising you children.
Karolina, great video. You all have gifts beyond belief. Your house is so transformed from what it was. Now it’s cosy warm & lovely
Glad u all got lots of shoe gifts. We don’t have that , but my daughter in law had this gift day for kids growing up It’s enriching to share other countries traditions. Do u have 🎅 Santa on 25th You & your family are a joy to see. Sending love & best wishes to all. Maureen💐🇮🇪
Was looking for your vid ALL DAY!
So happy it's here. Thank you😁😎😁
Onions & garlic in your shoes lol
OZZY we need to see more of that wood carving m8
The snow looks so beautiful!!! I look daily for your videos. Glad you got some treats in your shoe
My favorite channel. Charming. Charming. Charming!
Your such a hard working family with 3 amazing children it is a joy to watch you all
Fabulous seeing all the many events that are taking place.
My dad hasn't gotten the gift yet, he will soon wich means I need to pick up the slack and start making that little pouch for it 🙄😂💕.
I couldn’t click on the video fast enough, been looking forward to seeing you post. Happy Holidays to everyone.
