I was a young teen when this was released. This album was the soundtrack of a young guy coming into his own. I had it made, no bills, girlfriends, and money. Youth was indeed fleeting, but I had a great time!
I bought this album when I was in 6th grade. The information about Mr.Clapton drug use was interesting. I thought he was very good looking, I think he is a stone fox. Sarah Fink
私はエリックの音楽を入門したのはOceanブルーバードでした。寝るときにかけてました。
clapton ha scritto la storia del blues rock, negli anni ha sempre migliorato nella voce e nella tecnica chitarristica.clapton is g.d
When I was first learning to play guitar 45 years ago I sussed out Motherless Children in standard tuning -- not knowing it was in open tuning. No regrets. We didn't have UA-cam guitar tutorial videos back then. We learned to play the hard way. That's why I can play any song in any key. Record players didn't always play at the proper speed. That changed the guitar tuning.
Let it grow is a beautiful song, from heart and of the spirit.. God bless ec
this might be a top20 album of all time for me. Incredible. "Let it Grow" is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
Being only 15 yers old. This was my first time seeing Clapton live with Yvonne Ellimon. Santana opened and was on stage for Clapton’s encore, for the song The WHO’s Eyesight to the Blind from the movie Tommy. Also on stage was Keith Moon on drums and Joe Cocker on harmonica, what a way to end a show.
This album and Slowhand are great album’s , Eric has had so many awesome album’s 👍
Slowhand for ever...one of the best guitar player. ( The Yardbirds, The John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & The Dominos and Eric Clapton ( and his band ) ) Clapton did great all these bands!
Grande musicista dal rock al blues dove ha saputo dare un grande contributo alla musica internazionale del ventesimo secolo. Grande musician

One of my first ever vynals bought along with money and cigarettes. Still in my collection today, and I always bought the clear vynal album cover protector.. the saturdays down probe records trawling for hours. I fucking miss those days
Good music 2024...
This album belongs at the TOP END of the TOP SHELF.
Brillante no importa el tiempo transcurrido es simplemente un álbum magnífico del Sr Clapton

Uno de los mejores lado B que haya escuchado en mi vida
Very nice, don't forget Delaney and Bonnie and Friends and Carl Radle. Love those video historical captures of D&B&F with eminent musicians including Eric Clapton. TY ROCK
Dont forget Duane Allman was on slide guitar, Dave Mason and George Harrison participated
D&B! I sang "never-ending love" to my bride. At our wedding
The drumming on this album is crisp af!

Eric is an Arcangel...
drummer jim gordon?
Jamie Oliver on drums
Jamie oldaker on drums
Strange that his mother and father dis owned him. One of the most influential musicians in western music. That's some crap.
His mother left him with his gran, his father unknown as this played out his mother ,started a new life in canada came back to uk married to his stepdad.they didnt get on.
try money and cigarettes
Clapton is god
Jim Gordon is Gord...
Until he met Hendrix
This was recorded during Clapton's legendary drug era in the mid-'70s that he described as "casual and crazy." IMO, only "Mainline Florida, Let it Grow, and possibly "I Shot the Sheriff" are the only reasons to own this album.
The other songs are just phoned-in blues remakes. Sad.
The beginning of the end of Eric Clapton. By the following summer he was a staggering alcoholic who could not play his guitar.

This when I stopped listening to Clapton.
Do you leave ALL your friends if they change the subject matter?
For the most part this sounds like R&R on Heroin [which it was] overall lifeless and dull with some bad choices to make old standards sound different. A part of Clapton's anti-guitar hero phase. There are some good bits on here, but not enough to make it an overall good record.
Despite the massive hit - I SHOT THE SHERIFF - this album was a snooze , and set the tone for the string of sleepy albums that followed . He played well at the Band's LAST WALTZ , but that was one song . C'mon Eric !
Everyone is allowed to possess their own opinion, but having listened to this album in full, I can safely say I like every single song on it, may be you are more of a professional Clapton fan so after listening to these songs on numerous occasions it doesn’t flatter you.
@@JohnDoe-me9jh Im more of a Cream era Clapton fan . His first LP is strong , and LAYLA of course is like his White Album . But I bought everything else he did in the 1970's , and I only liked COCAINE . One song . That said ... he plays great on Leon's first album , and almost as great on Steve Stills great first album .
@@jameskennedy721 I’m not the most educated on Clapton, I’ve only listened to this album and his self named first one album.
@@JohnDoe-me9jh Oh , he is a musical rabbit hole . He will get you into Mayall , Disraeli Gears by Cream , Blind Faith . He was part of a musical family that included Duane Allman , the band Traffic , all the singers who backed up Joe Cocker ... you can see them in the Concert For Bangladesh film and Clapton is there . He was super important in that whole scene .
@@jameskennedy721 Yeah I see his name in a lot of bands, Yardbirds Blind Faith etc.
