Amen. I went to watch this and said: look at that, they have a clip to a different movie under the title steel magnolias 🤔😬😔. I can't watch it. I watched the original so many times that my head "Won't process this movie under that title". 🤦♀️😬😕
I love Steel Magnolias. This... this was a high school play esque. You cringe thru most of it and at the end you clap 5 times, give a thumbs up, and say good job buddy, good job. It was not good!
This was horrible. Stop trying to remake Classics. They are classics for a reason. Everything came together when making the movie. It was the perfect cast. The perfect writer. The perfect set designer. Etc. and it all came together to make a classic. Beautiful done piece of art. I just watched the new color purple and I have the same opinion. Stop trying to remake Classics. It’s better than this was. The new one is tolerable but it’s still just a sad imitation.
