I was thinking this was a community mod or a joke or something untill Baron started a battle with it. So I looked it up on google and apparently this thing was real. But it was an artillery prototype and it can't even shoot infront of itself. You can clearly see that the clamps that hold the rockets are physically blocking the stabilizing fins if it would shoot horizontally. Gajin, seriously, this thing can't even shoot at tanks! Also, with 500kg extra weight the turret is still traversing that fast? I never really cared alot about the derp things that Gajin did but this time I am really baffled.

They may be derpy rockets, but they sound and are terrifying on the release and impact. I would absolutely hate to be on the receiving end of one of those rockets but i would love to be on the sending end.

the turret will probably be slowed down, but yes this ... thing. is absolutely historic. it was built, it was tested, and it was functional. it was never mass produced or used in combat, likely because they realized it would be shot in one of its own rockets and nuke itself. but the reality is that this thing is more historic than most other standard tanks in game.

+Arthanias Keyword "lucky", the new Soviet vehicle can destroy any one it meets in the tiers the tank can be in. The calliope has a bit more difficulty destroying enemy tanks it meets as it only has 76MM rockets.
Baron you might try to reload those rockets by getting on cap and then hit the repair hotkey.
Pity they didn't render the tank in attack mode. If you google the image of the tank, that's resting and probably moving mode for the rockets. Would've been actually cool to have the few ingame seconds till they'd deploy.
That needs to be a Tier X. It gets his own special tier.

The russians are known for creating insane vehicle/tank designs. The fact is, they've made crazier things than this, even the giant "Flying Battleship" that never saw service but had an existing prototype that never left the ground.
Well they still don't have the tank that a transport can fit down the barrel so that's still a plus.

Does range have an affect on the rockets? During WWII, there was a rocket pistol. At a short distance, the rockets were ineffective, because they didn't have a chance to build velocity. However once they travel far enough to build up a greater penetrating velocity, they lost accuracy.
What is the best league team for warthunder?

Lol, that looks funny. The rocket is called "tank torpedo" or nicknamed, not sure which, but it's not really a torpedo since it's not a under-water weapon. I think this is a very unfair tank. I don't think teh rocket is all to overpowered since it's not reloadable and inaccurate. pretty cool implementing unique tank IMO.
It seems like the farther away you are the more accurate the torps get so maybe this tank is a good mobile artillery
