The Thermaltake Core P90 is a great case by design, but there are some design choices that I really like and some I really dislike. In this tech review video I'll go over my top 5 of each of those items to help make your computer case purchase experience better. If you have a wall mounted case, leave a comment and let me know what you have. If you have pictures I'd love to feature them on my Instagram page linked above.
Ask me any questions through the links above or leave them in a comment in this video! Thanks for watching. Remember, The Don’s Got Your Back!

If you don't like the reflections, get a circular polarizer filter (CPL) for your camera.
Good to know about the riser cable, may end up using a different brand.
Thank you for the recommendation on the reflections. I haven't had bad reflections in a lot of the videos I've filmed sense, so maybe it was a made up problem lol
Solid review, appreciate the objective analysis!
Thank you!
Nice video. What wall mount did you use for the p90?
Yeah that i would also like to know ?
But they never learned
I used a Cheetah Wall Mount I bought on Amazon. I'm in the process of finalizing the video as well, so as long as ~1 year wasn't too long of a wait...that video is coming :D
Thanks for the video Don! Like another comment which wall mount did you for it ? Something along the lines of a 30inch T.V mount ?
I've used 3 different Cheetah Wall Mounts (from amazon) for mounting my computers and TV's and they have worked out perfectly! I've got a video coming out soon with the exact steps I took to mount it.
@TheDonTech Yeah, the PCI-E 3 cable was a bad deal. A change in the motherboard setting fixed my crashing issue. Switch the motherboard setting for the GPU from "Auto" or GEN 4, back to GEN 3 and it runs fine believe it or not. It will be highly problematic until you change it in the BIOS. A Gen 4 would have completed mine nicely. TT parts for this case aren't even available. Anyone have links to the vesa mount?
I've lost all hope in using any riser cables, unless they start coming with the GPU I'll likely never use them. Any vesa mounting on Amazon would do. I've used Cheetah in the past and have enjoyed their quality.
Great video, could you do a demo/explanation on how you ran the wires through the wall?
Sorry for the absolutely lengthy absence. I have shot that video and am editing it tonight! I hope to have it finished sometime this week! :) Thank you for your comment and stay tuned.
🔥 That's a cool setup though 🔥
question I can't seem to find the bay mount for a DVD/CD bay on this Case, I bought this case still trying to get parts to build it. but need the bay mount for the DVD/CD drive. Or is this case so wild that Termaltake forgot to add it on the case?
As far as I can tell there is no hardware provided or made for this device. Unfortunately any peripherals that came with this case are pretty buried right now, but the trend for almost every computer case now is to exclude any 5.25" bays for DVD Drives. The simplest solution with this case is to purchase a USB based DVD Drive (roughly $20 to $30 on amazon) and use it when needed.
I have this case as well.
No it doesn’t come with anything like that, and you’d have to very specifically look for that feature to be in any case beyond 2012 as it’s “obsolete” according to most case manufacturers.
please show us how you put it on the wall, cant find any example on the hole internet
It mounts the exact same way everything else does.
You order a wall mount kit like you would for a tv (make sure it can support 50 lbs or more), and then you attach the case to the bracket.
I've got a video coming soon, buddy! It goes in detail as to how I mounted it, what tools I used, where the holes are/etc!
I think it looks so much better on the desk, I have a 41" 4k mon on my desk and they both fit on with a tonne of room. The case is amazing for modding and don't have to stuff it full of watercooling unless overclocking really there are all sorts of mods to fill the space. I do like this type of like/dislike format
I'm encouraged that you like the format! Thank you :). If you have giant screens and a giant desk then this case will not take up as much room as it did mine lol. My desk is only about 48"
Was going for this case and i still fucking am its honestly amazing concept and i want a nice kinda piece such as this for my editing rig :D! Thanks for the info!
Did you end up getting this case? It still houses my editing rig and I still like it :)
@@TheDonTech No i didnt yet its a hard buy around right now its a bit overpriced for the build if it comes on sale deff gunna make a nice build video with it
une très bonne vidéo bravo. 👍🏻
Just give us the way u mounted it iv been trying to do that 2 times almost felt down hehehe
Well make sure it's mounted into wall studs for sure, haha. I've got a video coming out hopefully this week talking about the exact steps I've taken to wall mount this PC and the exact tools I used.
Dude.
Nice beginner build when it comes To water loops. Good job Don. How ever. The p90 is designen as an odd shape and a corner computer.
What are you doing for surge/battery backup? SATA SSD's are so outdated and bandwidth limited. You could have invested in a good NVME drive versus wasting all that money on an open-air watercooler.
I have a 900w CyberPower UPS that is tucked way under the desk. I also have a Samsung 960 Evo NVME drive inside the system, along with the sata drive for additional storage. This was more of a case review instead of a general system overview. Thanks for watching :)
Outdated 😳 I'm about to buy a 2tb hdd 😳
Softubing a Core P90 😑
Am I the first? haha. I thought about hard tubing but really didn't want to mess with the fuss of it all. I also think hard tubing would be nicer if I also liquid cooled the GPU which just wasn't in the cards at this time.
All glass are reflective maybe next time use wood instead
Nice case like that and you use soft tubing, oh dear.
Oh dear indeed! But now it will bring you great happiness in knowing that the case has been recycled?? Now I have a new wall mounted case, without custom liquid cooling! Gasp!
why are likes / dislikes disabled ?
*Shrug* I think I hit a setting in the studio that may have changed that. Not intentional. May be fixed at some point? Thanks for letting me know though, I'll try to have that not be a thing on future videos.
